Midway Liquor

Midway opened just before Winter Break 2012, but it seems like they are already picking up. They have a decent selection and the interior is clean and easy to navigate. Their location is also fantastic, right on the corner of Flood and Robinson with a 7 – 11 next door for snacks and mixers.
The owner and the rest of the staff are nice and helpful. I’d say the only downside was when I asked what would be a good beer to pair with pulled pork and they didn’t have any recommendations. It’s not a huge deal, but it is an amenity you get spoiled with since most of the liquor stores around Norman are right on the mark when it comes to finding the perfect pairing or giving you something new to try that suits your palette perfectly. Midway is still getting started, though, and the owner seems passionate, so I have a feeling they will be bringing expertise to their customers in no time.
With a great location, great prices, great staff, and great selection, Midway is definitely worth stopping in and supporting a GREAT new local business! Did I mention they’re great?
