Been here with my husband for 2 major surgeries. From start to finish we had a positive experience. A big shout out to the great nurses on the 3rd floor! They took such good care of us, both times.

Horrible place, so embarrassed I’m from Norman and this is all we have if you’re sick.

This is by far the worst hospital or medical establishment I have ever set foot in. I have worked in healthcare for 7 years and I would rather flip burgers than ever considering being employed here. I have a rare nerve disease, called RSD or CRPS. It is the most painful chronic condition known to the medical condition, over child birth and amputation. Having worked in a hospital all my healthcare career, I do not like going to the ER as I know what critters the ER attracts, pain seekers and people with no insurance that need a quick fix. However, when I have major flare ups, I have no option and my doctors(as I have five involved in my care-I’ve had this disease for 8 years and I’m only 26) tell me to go to the ER. This hospital, on more than one occasion, ignore me or treat me with absolutely no respect. They do not ever follow their WIWO protocol(wash in wash out) and have filled out my paperwork with the wrong diagnosis, let alone tell you what medication they are giving you. I’ve actually been told they wouldn’t give me a shot in my left hip(as I have a neuro stimulator implanted in my right hip) because he didn’t want to move to the other side of the bed. They continually discharge me without asking my pain scale, asking if the medicine helped, and don’t pay attention to the tears running down my face. I have called the patient coordinator to nothing but open ended apologies. They’ve given me muscle relaxers when it’s a nerve injury that is incurable. Not to mention the blood on the curtains, the nurses not wearing gloves when giving IM shots or between patient care. It’s pretty astonishing that it’s still a functioning hospital, though I guess they are content with the bare minimum of care.
