The Missus and I got to see Catch Me if You can here. It was our first time at Sooner Theatre and we were pleasantly surprised. As JoJo, a fellow Unilocal Elite has said, the ST is gorgeous! It’s not too big, but you also don’t feel all cramped up sitting next to others, which might be attributed to the super tall ceiling. Trust me, it’s way way up there folks. We didn’t get any concessions, but I did see some of the prices and they weren’t too bad at all. What’s also nice about ST is that it’s close to a lot of neat little restaurants and bars. We will definitely try to catch more shows here!

We watched Catch me if you Can last night. We love this theater. It’s our second time here. The acting, sound system, seating, historic looks, lobby… are super. I look forward to seeing many for plays here.

The building is gorgeous and exceptionally maintained. Ticket prices are generally pretty fair and their concessions won’t break the bank. I saw Our Town with a friend and thought that the performances were very professional for the most part. Being right by the tracks, you will hear trains if they pass during the performance, but it doesn’t last long and even that was charming and made me feel like I was back in Norman during its bustling Old West days. If you want to experience a little culture and local history, make sure you see a show at Sooner Theatre. There are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance to make a fun night out of it.

A lovely local theatre with amazing productions! Very appropriate to start your young ones watching theatre here, especially the kids productions by youth. I’m constantly amazed at the great local talent they combine into very entertaining shows. And bonus– you can take in your popcorn and grab a cute show themed gift!
