Taco Bell? Taco Mayo? Taco Bueno? No, no, no. Do yourself a favor skip all these it go directly to Taco Casa. Located just east of Norman high school on Main Street, this taco Casa succeed in hitting the mark where many other taco place is miss the mark. So many of them try to do to many things, adding many items to the menus. Here’s where taco Casa is superior. They just keep it simple. But in doing that they make really great soft tacos hard tacos and there’s supreme burrito is not to be missed. Do yourself a favor skip all the others and just try it and you’ll see. Not a mushy mess, not some flavor less goo just good tacos in burritos. The staff is helpful and courteous it is really conscience that you have a good dining experience.

Great food! It is a tex-mex, quick order with a home cooked taste! The nachos are delicious and, personally, I cannot get enough! I enjoy the atmosphere and their sweet tea is fabulous. It is a must do, at least once, then you will be hooked and must go back! Enjoy — not expensive and sure to please for the money spent … They say ‘you get what you pay for’ — this tends to go a little above and beyond …

This older tex-mex/semi-authentico fast-food joint has roots in Upper TEXAS. Their foray into Oklahoma has ALL the familiarity of the original, with the convenience of being local! The dining room is bright and spacious,(looks like the building is a repurposed Burger King,) KUDOS for recycling the building too! The streamlined menu, means you don’t have to search through 75 variations of a chicken-mick-strip, but has all the basics you would expect in convenient Mexican fare. The friendly staff go out of their way to ensure customer convenience. (Not quite sure how well the company’s Black and Orange uniforms PLAY in Norman… LOL!) The lot is spacious with a double drive-Thru, right next to the High School… …note to self: DON’T come for Lunch M-F, Hee-Hee…

I love love love this place. I really wish they had locations in the city. This is one of my go to places in Norman. Super cheap and good food. I prefer going here instead of Taco Bell or Taco Bueno. The hot sauce is the FREAKINGBOMB. Every time I eat here I make sure to grab extra sauce and sneak it home in my purse(shhhhhhh) The only thing I would say is a down side is that they only have beef and don’t have chicken. Just go try it :)

This is good cheap Mexican good that embarrasses the other fast good options. At this particular establishment the service has always been EXCELLENT and even the bathrooms were pleasant and very clean. If I could give 4.5 stars I would, but I just cannot give a full 5 stars to Mexican fast food as the food remains heavily dependent on ground beef and other easy-pleasers

Cleanest place in town! Meat is flavorful, they pack tons of meat and cheese into each taco. The taco lite shell is amazingly crispy. The tortilla chips have a wonderful roasted corn flavor to them! Love this place!

This is a fast food place – but it’s a good one. From what I have been told this is a chain in Texas with maybe a couple of stores in Oklahoma. I believe the one in Norman is the closest one to the metro. I just moved from Norman after being there for fifteen years and I have to say this place and Pizza Shuttle are what I miss the most. I didn’t say I was classy or anything. One of the pluses of the Casa is that they seem to use real meat – I know it’s shocking, but I am pretty sure that’s the real deal. It’s also not overally salty food. It’s not healthy by any means and they have that weird yellow cheese for their nachoes – btw I have no problem with said yellow cheese but some people do. I like it. You should go there.

Taco Casa is a nice serviceable fast food taco joint. It only has ground beef and beans so there’s that. No chicken, steak or other proteins for the inside of your taco or burrito. The beef has a decent flavor, it’s seasoned, but not overly so. It’s drier than Taco Bell’s meat, which I prefer. Also, you get a lot of it. The soft and crunchy tacos are large, the ones I got were much larger than your typical Taco Bell, Bueno, or Maya tacos. I ordered three different items and found they were all pretty much the same, but with slight variations. This is not a surprise given the lack of variety on the menu. I addition to getting a lot of meat, they pile on the cheese and veggies. The food was hot and fresh, and it was a good value. The hot sauce wasn’t super hot, but it was good. Better than Taco Bell’s hot sauce packets. I’ll return, but only when I’m in a hurry.

There is something nostalgically comforting about how bland their food is, without actually being bad. It reminds me of going to Taco Bell with my Dad on occasion, in the 1980’s when I was a little kid(my Mother would never have allowed such a trip had she known.) Back in those days when soft tacos vs. crispy tacos were as «wacky» as things got on the menu. I’d eat a burrito with what I think may have been actual beans inside as I listened to George Micheal’s «Faith» played over the intercom. The things that are good about Taco Casa our also in a larger sense kind of depressing. Like they use real cheese on all there foodstuffs and for fast food these days your like«Wow, real cheese on everything, how exciting.» Most of the vegetables(olives, lettuce, tomatoes) taste fresh, which is nice(and again sad that it is nice), but the meat and beans are a blah afterthought. When you ask for spicy sauce they actually do put a sauce in it the food that taste like something they maybe made in-house and is a little bit spicy, I even can see actual green chilies in the sauce. When you eat here, you can’t help but think«It could be worse!» Yes it could be better too, but it could be a lot worse.

The good: Food tastes good, superior to most fast-food joints. Not sure it holds up to Taco Cabana, and it definitely doesn’t hold a candle to most sit-down Mexican food places. But better than Bell, Bueno and Mayo? Sure, I’ll go there. The bad: I’ve never eaten at a fast-food place whose offerings are so overpriced. They have a super taco for $ 2.69 and a «Chilada» for $ 3.19. Now, did I get the world’s largest taco? Or the world’s largest and best enchilada? Well, it tasted good … but, no. The same thing together would have cost me $ 2.25 to $ 3 anywhere else. Their price points are severely off.

«I would have to disagree with the other posters. The food was sub par at best. Im not a fan of taco chains at all but Taco Mayo and Taco Bell are superior by a long shot. I ate at this place for free and I couldnt imagine paying for their food. To some it up, it taste like a school cafeteria’s attempt on Mexican chain food.

As far as taco chains go, this one is up there. The prices are pretty decent, and there’s good variety with the menu. The tacos are delicious! I finally tried a chili burger tonight and it was really yummy. The bun was soft and the meat was juicy. There are regular items and super items so watch what you’re ordering-the super taco itself can fill you up. Since this location has opened it’s always delivered great service.

The newest taco place in Norman seems almost comically branded. It’s like you are stepping into a terribly-written movie. HOWEVER, the food is pretty good. It’s nothing more than fast food, but it beats some of the other places… Taco Bueno, Taco Bell, etc. The ingredients are simple and the orders come fast. One downside is the menu has several Taco options that don’t really seem drastically different when you get them, but differ greatly in price. The taco salad is HUGE and was incredibly fresh.

Don’t let the cheesy décor scare you, this place has genuinely good tacos and burritos. Their crispy tacos are packed to the gills with goodness. Try the taco burger too! Maybe the best thing about this place is their taco sauce. It has a nice kick to it. Taco Casa reminds me of what Taco Mayo used to be(and for me, this is a good thing).

To be honest, I was really scared– I mean REAL scared to try this place after my sub par experience at Taco Bueno on Lindsey. I had a sh*tTTy burger at Burger King(and they ran out of Sweet Potato fries to boot!) so I decided I had nothing to lose. Boy, I am real glad I tried this place! It was a saving grace. I ordered the soft taco remembering how Taco Buenos crunchy taco broke after a couple bites on me. The tortilla was super soft, not chewy. It came loaded with tons of thinly sliced iceberg lettuce and a handful of thin shredded cheese. The meat was lightly seasoned and not saucy like Taco Bells. I prefer no hot sauce because I can’t handle spicy stuff. The lady at the drive thru was even real friendly with a huge smile on her face. I will come again and try the Light Taco which is a fried flour tortilla YUM!
