The absolute best grilled cheese Friday special! Love the cookies so much, so many interesting flavors.

I hate to do this. I want to love it more. I haven’t been by for breakfast and I hear the chicken and waffles are bomb, so once I do I’ll update my review. So far, this is based on what I frequent WW for. I’ve had multiple desserts from here and only halfway enjoyed the rocky road brownie. Everything tastes really sweet and buttery, and it’s just missing a depth and richness. I don’t bake, and I’m not some brownie snob but eating just the plain chocolate brownie didn’t really taste like chocolate, it tastes like sweet butter with a hint of chocolate. Same with the cookies . The fresh bread. Maybe I have just lucked out. I’ve purchased sourdough, pita and a baguette from them. The sourdough was good but all breads were over priced compared to even other local bread companies from the city. The pita bread was pretty standard. The baguette was the biggest let down. It doesn’t look anything like the pic. It wasn’t browned and crusty on the outside. The inside wasn’t full of crumb or chewy. It was just. Bread. Like not even as good as a cheap baguette from a store. When I opened the bag, it didn’t even have that yummy just baked bread smell. It has no smell. It made me sad. I’ll prob be back to try breakfast but I’ll have to pass on future breads and desserts.

The breakfast food which is what I had was delicious!!! It’s a small place but very big on flavor. I like the fact that they have organic choices and a nice variety as well. Looking around you will see hints that they cater to the gay community so if you aren’t in to that(I’m not) it may serve as a deterrant. I would/will go back because the food is amazing and the service was also great.

Wonderful, local bakery and deli. I have stopped in twice and asked for large orders with no advanced notice, and they have been very accommodating. They thank me for my business, as well. My only complaint is with the packaging for large orders. I think I will bring my own cardboard bakery box next time, as these orders are for client breakfasts. Wonderful little place!

Delicious Dutch apple pie picked up the day before Thanksgiving. The aroma emanating from this place is unreal and once I stepped through the door I felt an overwhelming need to order something to eat then and there. However, reason prevailed(Thanksgiving the next day) and I ordered my pie and that was it. The employee working at the counter was so cheery and helpful, she checked the oven to see if anything else was coming out and I was lucky enough to get the very last apple pie. It was a hit at my gathering. I will definitely be back!

Many organic options. Veggie sandwich I had was fantastic! Owner/operators, love this place! Best bakery in Norman! Can’t wait to try all the things!

Hands down the best sandwiches in town! I’d given up hope on finding a decent sandwich shop in town, but stopped into the Avon Beauty Center to pick up a few items and decided to ask Amber, the owner, if she knew of a place to get a good sandwich. She recommended this place and I will be forever thankful to her for that! They also have great cookies, brownies and pastries.

Great bakery and deli. I’ve bought their croissants before and they were really good we used them to make breakfast sandwiches all week. The sandwiches and soups for lunch are really good. I had a pepper soup a few months ago that was so tasty! They have a lot of great cookies and scones and I like the variety and combinations they come up with. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Love this local gem.

Waving Wheat is such a wonderful addition to the Norman Community. I love, love, love, love their jalapeño bread… Oh my!!! What I love is that it is always fresh and then on Saturday you can stock up on half price bread for your freezer… However, you need to get there early because when it is gone it is gone. Just like most bakeries. They work 24⁄7 and for a small shop offer big flavors and varieties. Open for breakfast and lunch!!! I think it is the best kept secret in Norman at this time. check it out and you will be glad you did.

This is the bakery you’ve been looking for. Fresh artisan breads made daily, a new lunch counter, and their scones are the best in town. My youngest daughter(12) and I shared a rosemary-pine nut scone last week and it was amazing. Their Chinese five-spice scone was my favorite, but now I’m not sure. On Friday, we had the deli special lunch — a grilled ham and cheese sandwich on polenta bread with their home made pesto spread. Waving Wheat creates baked goods for people who care about quality and taste. They care about their craft.

I would give this place a zero if I could, because that’s how much bread they had when I went there on a Saturday morning! I was told the baker decided not to come in that morning to bake bread, because he was out late at an art festival. Then the girl behind the counter proceeded to tell me that she hadn’t had a day off in 3 months and so they probably wouldn’t have any bread until Wednesday or Thursday! I tried to support a local business, instead I had to go to Sprouts! Don’t waste your time!

Waving Wheat makes THE best scones EVER! They have the most interesting flavor combinations too — always fun to try, and I have yet to be disappointed with anything I’ve gotten there, and I have ordered it ALL. This is my favorite bakery, and I love that it’s so close to the hospital where I work. :)

I’ve come here a few times now and have yet to be disappointed with their offerings of bread and scones. Admittedly, the scones are my favorite. I love the offerings and the change from the typical common varieties found elsewhere. My favorites thus far have been the ginger, five spice, and pumpkin(seasonal). You can’t just expect to walk in and pick from a standard fare. This place mixes things up but everything has been great. I’ve been eyeing the cookies…

I’m glad I could be the first to review this place. Norman was lacking in the true bakery department. The Waving Wheat is top notch. Skylar is very friendly and the bread and cheesecake are amazing.
