We’ve been regulars since the opening. Breakfasts are still good… but dinner has seriously declined. Went yesterday for Father’s Day. Ordered Cesar dressing for dinner salad… it was coleslaw dressing! It had pickles in it. When I mentioned it to the waitress she responded«That’s what our Cesar is». Then our Prime Rib came. It was awful!!! Now, we were forewarned that the medium rare was sold out. But this was well done. it was a gray, tasteless slab of meat… just disgusting. Also the fried shrimp was over cooked, nearly burned. Terrible all around. Never again for dinner.

Update to my last review… The problem that I thought the owners solved was only HIDDEN. This chick tried to steal phone. Long story short, I left my phone. I knew exactly where I left it and when I came to get it back she, the manager as she called herself, Voolah, told me it wasn’t there. After I searched everywhere I called my phone from my brothers phone. It connected to the Bluetooth in my car. I sent the call to the device which magically ended up in her purse behind the register in a cabinet. I called the cops and they stated since I «found» the phone it was no longer stolen so they couldn’t do nothing to her. They owner claimed the fired her but it’s clear they did not. No longer eating in a place that don’t value it’s loyal customers!

Appetizers are awesome. The Potato Skins & Onion Straws are my favorite. The soup is pretty awesome too. The only downside is its dark inside. They need to lighten the place up a little.

Blossom Café The very worse service ever. Busy restaurant & our server had the worse attitude ever. Plus the food was not good. Never go back there again!

Very busy but once we got our table we were served very fast and in and out. Classy atmosphere, good food we ate breakfast on a Sunday.

I am sorry but I have to give this place 2 stars. Besides the fact that the service was very slow(I understand, they were busy, I get it) the food wasn’t really worth the wait. The potatoes from the sampler plate had no taste to them and the skin was dry. My husband ordered a burger and I got a chicken sandwich. The meat was tasteless, dry, and greasy. The portions from the kids menu are way too big! A 3 year old got a portion bigger than himself.

This is my favorite local, non-chain restaurant. The food portions are very generous and reasonably priced. Much of the wait staff seems to have English as their second language which can occasionally cause confusion, but I’ve always felt everyone was friendly.

Awesome place. The food is delicious. The staff is nice. What more could you ask for! The menu offers many great selections at a reasonable price. I would definitely eat here again. I believe you can order breakfast all day as well

I’ve been back here a handful of times for breakfast, and it’s been inconsistent. We had the border skillet last weekend and it was fantastic. Portions were large, and the chorizo had good flavor. This weekend, we tried the border skillet again and the chorizo was burnt and lacking. It was like the last crispy bits were scraped from the bottom of the pan. Flavor was meh. Portions were still large. I’d come back again mainly due to the convenient location, not necessarily for the quality of food.

Our roommate suggested this place for a quick brunch meal. We drive by it almost every day so we wanted to give it a shot. My roommate ordered the Waffleini off their specials menu with a side of hash browns. She said it was okay, but she probably would not order it again. The portion size was decent, it was just a very bland dish. She said the hash browns were not very good at all. My girlfriend ordered the stuffed french toast and an order of hash browns as well. She said it was okay as well, but the french toast itself was not very flavorful — a bland theme seems to be running here. She also agreed the hash browns were not very tasty. I ordered the Shrimp DeJogne(sp?) and the Hangover burger off the specials menu. There was a mixup and the server brought me a yogurt granola with everything. Maybe she misheard me when I said hangover. After that she seemed a bit unfriendly. The shrimp thing was something I read about in the reviews and it was definitely pretty tasty. The burger looked really good at first, but it smelled kind of odd when I went to eat it. I realized it was pretty burnt and it had remnants of a really charred taste and smell. I had to eat half of it smothered in ketchup to cover the taste. I left the other half. Overall, the burger was pretty bland as well. it just tasted like char on top of tasting like nothing. Would we come back? Possibly.

2 stars because the food isn’t that great No stars for the attitude one of the owners have yes owner threw the plates like frisbee on the table at our family to set it up Spend a lot of money to make the place look nice and treat people like crap don’t make sense and the crepes use to be good now they’re thick like pita bread but like I said real nice place with shitty service except one server extremely nice I think her name is Mary No one wants to give people like that their money I know I don’t and I eat out everyday it’s sad when you have to be their people to get treated the right way oh well

Second time at this location in one week. Food is absolutely delicious. In my strength you’re in the neighborhood. Come on Wednesdays, absolute martini for $ 5… I’m on Thursdays, and A bottle of wine for Half the price… Excellent ambience. Awesome waiters, Debbie what’s the best … Love the music. Portions are huge!!! I can come here an entire week and not repeat the same meal.

For what I ordered, the food was A-OK. I ordered Shrimp De Jonghe and their shrimp was overly covered with a thick garlic sauce rather than being«sauteed with garlic and butter». The dish comes out extremely hot, so you will have to wait about 10 – 15 minutes before eating. The shrimp is delivered in a small/medium sized dipping bowl. For example, if you’ve ever ordered queso fundido, it comes out in a small charcoal pan. Picture that in front of you. If you are looking for a more substantial dinner meal, I wouldn’t recommend Shrimp De Jonghe. Long story short, Shrimp De Jonghe is a fancy name for Shrimp smothered in garlic. I had a side of mashed potatoes and honestly, I would have preferred the mashed potatoes as my main entrée. The mashed potatoes came out warm and creamy. The chicken noodle soup served before the Shrimp De Jonghe was a little dull for my taste. It came with sliced carrots, chopped onions, and a loaf of French bread. I definitely would come back and try Blossom Café’s pasta dishes along with their burgers.

Once again the service at Blossom Café was unbelievably horrible! We arrived at 6 pm and gave our name for the waiting list for a party of 6. When 20 minutes goes by and people that arrived after us began to be seated, we inquired why. The hostess failed to put our name on the waiting list! What the *?*?! So she promised it would just be 5 more minutes. Well, 15 minutes later we asked what the issue was and she said because we had a party of 6 it was going to be awhile. We told her that we’ve been waiting a long time and two of the ladies in our party were seniors and were hungry. She didn’t seem to care because she went ahead and sat a party of 5 that came in after us. So RUDE! The table they sat at would have fit us. So we decided to leave. When she saw us getting ready to leave she all of a sudden had a table for us. Really!!! The seniors in our party had walkers, one is 92 and the other is 87. Is this how you treat your elderly customers?!! Make them wait because of your incompetent staff! We had to take them back out in the freezing cold weather to find another place to feed them because they no longer wanted to be there. So sad. I will never go back to this restaurant!!!

Visiting from Tampa, Fl. I’m originally from MA. We loved this place! We had an excellent dining experience. This reminded me of hometown food with a plentiful serving size. The menu is extensive and yet easy to read. I went on Saturday, 10÷10÷15 for breakfast. The place was full with a waiting line(always a great sign). The staff was on top of their game! 5 star service with fair priced menu. A special thank you to our server Gina and owner George whom we had the pleasure of meeting. All staff worked in harmony & sync. They appeared to be happy! Bathrooms were nice and extremely clean, very important to us. You have to experience this place!

Cute little breakfast spot found this on Unilocal was looking for something that was near my friend’s house. Decent size very welcoming with comfortable seating. We got there at about 9:45 on a Sunday morning it wasn’t crowded at all. We were seated right away only a party of two but it’s a great place for groups. Now to the food. The menu had a variety of breakfast and brunch and lunch choices. The first thing that came to my attention was the skillets and French toast. I’m one of those difficult customers that want an item on the menu but want to add or subtract things to it. So initially I wanted the vegetarian skillet but I added bacon to it with pancakes and I had coffee. Personal this place is not set apart from any other breakfast spot I’ve ever been to. The prices arent too bad but if they didn’t have combos it would be. My friend ordered the French toast collage she was dissatisfied it wasn’t as soft and chewy as she expected. And I didn’t like that they garnished their food with a slice of watermelon I don’t want any cold fruit on my hot food. Anyway I would go back here but it’s nothing to rave about just average.

We were there for dinner on a Monday night, but they serve breakfast and lunch as well. While the exterior looks well-maintained and the sign with a little white flower is catchy, it doesn’t do any justice to the interior and decors I saw as soon as we walked in. The entire venue appeared to be way more fancier than an average Danny’s or IHOP, so don’t think Blossom Café is an independent version of one of those national chains. In my opinion, Blossom Café offers better quality food, renders a friendlier service, and exhibits more professionalism from each staff member. We received a great, warm-hearted service from Marta. I’ve heard other reviews mentioning the Monday filet & lobster dinner special for $ 16.99, so I went with it. Hubby, on the other hand, chose the Shrimp DeJonghe dinner($ 14.99). The place was pretty full during dinner hours, but each of the team members in all areas was working and I didn’t see anyone idling like an old AOL chat(if you still remember that thing in the early 2000’s). Shout out to Blossom for having fresh veggies on the side! I’ve seen too many other similar places using frozen veggies and this really turns me off. My filet & lobster special was good; the filet, lobster, and the side veggies were solid but weren’t extraordinary. However, I enjoyed the meshed potatoes. They had great flavor, and the judge on sodium and seasoning was truly on point. I highly recommend the Shrimp DeJonghe. That dish was exquisite. Our server, Marta, gave us extra bread to dip the stuffing with, which was a brilliant idea. Blossom Café definitely has earned my repeated businesses. We were, overall, satisfied with our food and highly satisfied with the service. There’s a plenty of parking onsite. Otherwise, the CTA81W(W. Lawrence) bus drops off at the corner of Lawrence and Cumberland, in proximity to where BC is located.
