Horrible service I have been their customer for past 3 years did bunch of alterations. Spent hundreds of dollars so I kept coming back there. last pants turn out to be too long. So the lady is being rude saying this was my choice my fault and she will have to charge me again another $ 10. $ 10 is in the issue you don’t treat previous customer this way bottom line Especially who spent hundreds of dollars before which I can prove. Bye bye magic touch. That’s when you find out about the business when something goes wrong and how they handle the situation.

I paid premium, they ruined my pants, the owner lied in my eyes, they did not take responsibility, they wasted my time, and the owner called me «crazy» I went to Magic Touch Cleaners on 8303 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, IL and left five shirts and two pair of pants for cleaning. I paid $ 3.95 per item, which I believe is relatively high. My Ticket # 56694. When I went back to get my clothes from Magic Touch, one of the pants which I just recently bought on my trip from Europe three weeks ago was ruined. It was a pair of casual pants with no creases. Apparently, they decided to create creases for some reason, do they understand material and style? Anyway, I told the girl at the counter that this is a pair of casual pants that is not supposed to have any creases. She said, leave the pants, we will fix it. I was reluctant because that will be hard to fix in my opinion, but I had to give it a try. I came back the next day to pick up the pants; the lines were pressed and smoothed but the lines they created initially were still visible. I told the girl again that the lines are still there, and she said, leave the pants we will fix them. I told her that I already left the pants once to be fixed and I doubt they can fix them. She was very adamant on me leaving the pants. Did I have another choice? NO. I told her that is unacceptable, and she told me to go to their other location to speak with the owner there. I asked her to call that location before I go there. The owner told me over the phone that she has a birthday today and she has no time to deal with me because she is leaving the store now! So, I left the pants for another fix. On Monday, March 23th, 2015 at 10 A.M. the owner called me and told me that the pants are fixed and for some reason she expected me to be there? I went to pick up my pants again, and the lines from the creases were still there. Then, I took the pants and went to the location in Ricer Grove, IL to speak with the owner in person. When I went there she was not happy to see me. She was very rude, but the worst thing from everything is when she said that they never did the creases on the pants and actually is not their fault. I told her that this is not the way to do business and treat their customers. She told me not to tell her how to run her business because she’s been in business for 38 years. She lied to my face and when I decided that there no reason to talk to this person anymore because there was nothing she was willing to do in order to work on the issue; while I was leaving the place she called me «crazy», in front of all the customers and her employees. I just left the place I was speechless. I won’t support a person running a business in such way by spending my money there. I would encourage you not to do that as well. I just feel sorry for the staff that has to work with such evil person. I understand that we all do mistakes, but admit the mistake and take responsibility.

I left them with five suit pants and suit coats. The pants and four of the coats were good but the fifth black coat was cleaned and pressed with a piece of hard candy in the inside suit pocket, also the suit has an inside button that when pressed left a mark on the outside of the coat. Once is enough for me I’m going elsewhere.

I rarely write reviews, but I had to as I feel I got ripped off at this place. Overpriced and they don t do the work. I took two pairs of pants($ 20 a pair) and a dress($ 18) to be taken in on two different occasions. Nothing was ever tailored, the clothes came back just as I brought them in; loose fitting in the places where they were to be altered. Rude customer service or lack thereof; services paid for were never performed. Stay away and go down the street, as there is another great and cheaper dry cleaner/tailor place on Cumberland.

The clerks are never particularly friendly, and for the same price as some of the other dry cleaners nearby, it seems that they never do the job quite as well. I’d go elsewhere… and I do.

They did an excellent job with my shirts, but they did misplace one of my shirts and it wasn’t until I got back from the cleaners that I realized that I was missing one. They found it and it was in pristine condition. It would have been nice if they had offered a free dry clean in the future, since I did have to make two trips. They don’t have a lot of competition in the area therefore you’re going to pay way more than you would in the city. Even know they misplaced my shirt I’m willing to give them another shot.

They have a big sign that says«Accepts All Competitors Coupons» then in fine print excludes leather items, etc. So, I went in with a $ 5 off $ 25 coupon for another cleaners and a webpage for a local cleaner with several locations that posts their prices for dry cleaning and laundered/pressed shirts. The counter help said«Oh, you people with internet coupons.» They would not match the price on laundered/pressed items. And they would not apply any coupons to laundered/pressed items. Yet, there was no exclusion of laundered/pressed items from the microprint on the big«competitors coupon» sign. Their price for laundered shirts is $ 1.65. They were only willing to take 20% off of the dry cleaned pants. Why is it that so many dry cleaners do not post their prices and instead put up misleading advertisements that they do not honor? As I’m starting a new job with a new need for more shirts laundered/pressed, I found the $.50 savings per shirt worth driving a couple of miles away to another cleaner.
