Every time we go there, We have the steak taco dinner, it’s always good and it keeps bringing us back… We always feel rushed and I will agree with this place is far from great and the price is a bit up there for their food. Three stars for their taco dinner, everything else gets two stars.

It was ok. The portion were small and the meat was over season. First time there but wasn’t to thrilled, the prices were descent for some of the items on the menu

I used to eat here once in a while because it is close to home. It seems to me that the quality of the food is declining. The portions are small compared to other Mexican restaurants I visit. On my last visit the rice was under cooked(a little crunchy) and the steak was over cooked and had little flavor. The best thing on my combo platter was the guacamole tostada. The price for a glass of soda is ridiculously high considering that they don’t give free refills. The salsa is good and the service is pleasant.

My wife and I came to this restaurant for our date night and I’m glad we were hungry because if we weren’t we probably would have sent the food back. The prices are reasonable but the food has no flavor I’m giving it two stars because it was semi clean and the service was good.

I was hungry, left hungry. Horrible experience, had a Long Island without coke. The server served my drink in a margarita glass. Had a sip, and tasted the pure sweet & sour mix. I let him know that I thought he had given me a margarita instead. He had the audacity to tell me that I was wrong, that he had given me what I had ordered. The thing is that he didn’t mix the drink, he just poured it on the glass so all the mix was at the bottom. Go figure. I hate when people mess with my drinks.

Food is meh and the price is way too high for slightly below average food and a dingy dining atmosphere. The service, though not attentive, was fine. Their salsa is yummy, as is their guacamole.

Km We live in the area and thought we’d try the place. It’s tucked in the strip mall by IHOP. We had a taste for Mexican food. We went at about 3 pm and there was only one person inside dining. The establishment is bright and clean looking. The waiter seated us and as we looked at the menu, the prices seemed a little pricey for the amount of food described. Everything was ala cart. We ordered guacamole and chips and each of us had a burrito. No rice or beans came with it, but you could get it for extra price. The guacamole was unremarkable with no flavor and not much of it. Chips tasted old and stale. Salsa had no flavor except strong pepper. The burrito was average with no seasoning in the steak. We both had water to drink. I would have had coffee but it was no refills. I like to have a couple of cups with my meal but I won’t pay for each cup. The bill came to over $ 30 for meals that were not tasty. We had to wait quite a bit for the waiter to come out of the kitchen before we could pay and get out of there. Bathroom was clean but no soap. We couldn’t tell anyone because no one was there to tell. I cannot recommend this place for Mexican food. Your money would be better spent at Taco Burrito King.

Food was great, portions just right, the atmosphere and room temperature didn’t fit too well into a spicy hot dish repertoire though. Will go there again ;-)

This place is great! Tacos are delicious and the Margaritas are very good. It’s not often you get great Mexican food and they’re not BYOB. Their salsa is also perfect!

Had a taste for a steak burrito and decided to give them a shot. I ordered the steak burrito and when it arrived I have to say it was really small. A $ 8.00 steak burrito at most places in the area are huge, you need both hands to hold onto and they still are hard to handle. The meat was good but not much of it. It’s pretty sad I actually left still hungry.

Not good at all. Ordered two burritos to go. Every bite included hard chunks of fat. Theres nothing that ruins a burrito like low quality meat. Ate maybe a quarter of it and threw it out. $ 9 for a six inch burrito of this caliber is a rip off. Only positive is the owner seemed really nice. Friend recommended this place. He is not a friend anymore.

Stopped in with my wife and a friend and we all very much enjoyed what we ate. I had a combination with a tostada, steak and enchilada and everything was very succulent. The Margarito was very very good too. Lipsmacking good in fact. My wife and our friend each had the skirt steak which just like mine was very tender and flavorful if not a tiny bit too salty. We will ask for less salt next time. Because we definitely will be coming back!

Excellent service, and good margaritas. The food is not extravagant but very good quality and is not greasy. Salsa is made in house and has a good kick.

Excellent food. They charge for a refill on a pop which is kind of cheap.

When I lived in the city, I came here often. I had forgotten about this place and was in the neighborhood. Carne Tampiquena(see pic) dinner delicious. Good quantity, good quality, good service. Love, Love Love. So good to rediscover a long lost friend. Cleaned my plate.

This place is horrible. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone… ever! Started off with margaritas that were mostly sugar and were missing the key ingredient… tequilla. We ordered a couple of dinner platters only to be further disappointed by this place. Will never be back. And to top it all off the waiter is incompetent, and the prices are god awful!

What a nice little place! Hidden in the back of a large strip mall. I have seen it many times over the last several years and finally decided to give it a try. I said to my wife; The worst thing that’s going to happen is we really enjoy our meal and wonder why we didn’t try it sooner! Very Traditional Mexican Decoration in there and great service! Immediately greeted with Awesome Chips and deliciously hot salsa. My wife very much enjoyed her Sangria, I opted for a Negra Modelo. I wanted a little bit of everything so I ordered the Sabor Ixtapa Combo Platter; Mini chicken burrito(great chicken) Guacamole Tostada(great guacamole) Chile Relleno(little soggy, but still good) Small piece of skirt steak(delicious and would order a full steak next time) My wife ordered Camarones A La Diabla. She said the shrimp were cooked perfectly and the sauce was flavorful with a nice spice to it! Fairly expansive menu with several Seafood Options. One thing I did notice was a lack of Pork options, but I am OK with that. Definitely worth a visit!!! Having been to Mexico 7 times in my life, I can assure you that the Review that referenced TBK is WAAAYYY off.

Ixtapa’s average at best and their prices(at lunch time in particular) strike me as kind of high for what you get. $ 9.95 for 3 over-fried flautas filled with dry chicken and some bland rice and beans? The meal wasn’t good enough to command that price at lunch time. If you can’t handle the heat of their regular salsa, don’t even bother requesting the mild unless you like dipping your chips in tomato soup. Meh. If you’re in the area while craving Mexican food, there’s better places around.

Only ate here once, but I recall it wasn’t anything special, but also not the absolute worst Mexican place I’ve eaten at. Was long enough ago, that I don’t recall what I ordered. Perhaps I’ll give it another shot someday…
