I’ve been going to this place since I was a kid because of how close and inexpensive it is. The food here sure doesn’t wow, but it isn’t terrible by any stretch. Service is as friendly as an Asian establishment in the hood can be, and the food makes due for a cheap and tasty meal. Try to grab delivery because of the limited parking space on Markley Street!

i wish there were 0 stars. there is no place worse in the entire area and maybe on the east coast. Shady people outside, low quality food inside. By far terrible… Why would anyone even go in?

Quick review: China Palace is inadequate as an option for Chinese take-out., given the better option nearby. On it’s own, China Palace would stand as a common, but suitable, Chinese take-out spot. But given the myriad other options in the Norristown area, including one clearly superior option(Super Wok, maybe 3 minutes away at most), I recommend passing China Palace by. The food is not bad, but it’s not as good as Super Wok. The service is clearly worse, and the cleanliness and décor is also not up to Super Wok. There is no place to eat inside; it’s solely take-out(although you will find people simply eating on the front steps of the restaurant). The prices and portion sizes are comparable. I guess this review sounds more like a comparison of Super Wok vs. China Palace, and less of a review of how China Palace stands on it’s own. Well, again the food is not bad. You won’t necessarily be disappointed, per se, especially given you’ll be spending at most $ 7 a person(and that’s on the high side, you’ll probably be $ 5 – 6 per). But just like Unilocal describes the two star rating I’ve assigned, it’s «Meh, I’ve experienced better.»
