Sorry to put it this way but this location is ghetto, period. It’s not even the fact that it’s in the hood, it’s just the staff is pretty rude and unhelpful. They don’t keep up with the store in the sense that it’s much dirtier and less organized than other locations. The lines go to the back of the entire store and the parking lot is a nightmare.

I get so many coupons worth saving shopping at CVS. They could also get more cashiers so customers don’t have to wait in line so long holding just two items in their hand

This place is definitely starting to show its age, getting long in the tooth for sure. However this CVS serves as a microcosm as to why I would rather live in a urbanized third class city, such as Norristown, than a more suburban area like Blue Bell for the time being. This place is 24 hours, it has saved me plenty a time when I was sick and I needed some medicine. Good luck finding things that stay open 24 hours besides a Wawa in other places. O yea I can walk here and not have to worry about getting demolished from a car because of no side walk; that’s another bonus.

This CVS is actually pretty good – I’ve been shopping there for over 10 years, and it’s like my second home(yes, sad). As Colleen M. writes, there have been occasionally rude employees in the past, but I haven’t seen them lately. The night-time people, both at the pharmacy and the front desk, are almost uniformly polite and friendly. The people at the front counter are also polite and friendly. There are occasional hold-ups when a less-experienced clerk has to ring you out and doesn’t know what to do, and sometimes barcode prices aren’t synched with that week’s sales. That said, I agree that the line at the pharmacy is often long, and the pharmacists and pharmacy techs are frequently overwhelmed by the rush. Things are, of course, much slower late at night, say, 11:00 p.m. or later. It’s a great pharmacy for nightbirds(though I do hate the fact that you have to shout your name and address through the night-time security gate when you’re picking up a prescription… HIPPA, what’s that?). The thing that really irritates me is that when a new register opens up at the front counter, there’s no system to keep the people at the back of the line from dashing to be first in the new line. So, sometimes you’re third in a line of 10 people, and all of a sudden you’re last. But otherwise, I’m okay with this CVS.

This CVS is terrible. You have to wait in line forever and the people in the pharmacy have been consistently rude to me. They are even worse over the phone. I would not recommend this CVS to anyone. It’s worth the drive to a different drugstore. Also, my boyfriend was called a faggot by the kids loitering out front because he wouldn’t buy them Philly Blunts.
