It’s a buffet. The food is good and the price is really friendly. We got five ppl went there for lunch on Wednesday. We had a coupon so we only paid $ 6 each.

Firstly, this place is in Trooper, not Norristown. It is the latest of many buffet restaurants to open in this space and is likely to have the shortest stay of all of them unfortunately. Unlike the others, this one is not a traditional Chinese buffet but an all you can eat Hibachi grill. You gather your veggies and protein and wait for the cook to stir it up for you. It may be ok for one round(as another reviewer pointed out many items, such as chicken, are frozen) but how much of this can you really eat, even when there are a dozen sauce options? There are no eggrolls, etc. Just hibachi, soup and a few desserts. And yet the price is still around $ 14 for dinner, and that doesn’t include the drink! The Trooper area could really use a true Chinese buffet like Full House Buffet, the previous resident here, which offered hibachi plus dozens of buffet items you’d expect – for the same price as just hibachi at King Chef. But sadly the wait will continue for now.

My family and I went to this restaurant because we heard it just opened. I will say upfront, DONOTGO. Although the concept of the restaurant seemed cool(similar to Hibachi except buffet style), but the food was not fresh at all. The meat was frozen, some of the food seemed like it was sitting out for a while, and there was not much variety. When they grilled our food, I would say it’s similar to what you would order at a Chinese take out place. My sister took a bite of her beef and said it tasted like soap. When my sister, cousin, and I were waiting for them to cook our food, the chef insisted we should have extra sauce on our food. We said no thank you, but he kept insisting. He then took out a little Buddha statue, poured oil on it, and it squirted out oil from it’s penis. Really awkward experience for my little cousin and not really appropriate if you’re bringing kids. Long story, short: Food was not fresh and not worth the price; therefore, don’t go.
