Honestly I think the Dr. was good and I think I got an accurate RX. Unfortunately the progressive contac lens RX thing isn’t going too well for me… kinda felt a little rushed when returning for some tweaking in that area…(plus difficulty scheduling between when store was open and when I was available and when the Dr was available) the young man behind the counter was kind enough(with some convincing) to send me via snail mail another spare lens while waiting for another convenient time for a repeat dr. Visit. So basically I still need help in that area but I guess the $ I spent wasn’t enough for some extra visits or worth the hassle of waiting weeks to get back in… or perhaps progressive contacts aren’t for my eyes? I don’t know! I wonder if cooper vision or Bausch and Lomb etc would like to know I was struggling with an accurate fit.(oh and BTW I’ve worn lenses all my life… this means over 30 years by now!) The wire rimmed glasses I bought at the norristown store were one of the cheapest on the rack in store… they were nice, I liked them but they are scratched already.(4 months wear) I haven’t gone back to ask if they can be replaced and/or if it’s under warranty or if out of my pocket, again. The same young man as above who helped me was knowledgeable but again I had to fork out more $. Another problem lies within the hours the store is open(not 7 days a week) and or when calls are answered. They are returned though. The staff are willing to help. A a little funny about«sharing» your personal RX including a PD(pupillary distance). Supposedly and I quote«they can get in trouble» I was measured when I paid for my eyeglass and contac lens exam(s). Due to on line stores this is a Very competitive business. I am happy to report I have paid(and well) for both my contac lense RX and my eyeglass RX at Phila. Eyeglass labs and can now move on to the internet to look for the same quality but much better prices. Just ordered $ 39.00 «all in» polycarbonate glasses(not progressives!) I used a Groupon here, and I had a great experience. Dr. Rivera took her time to talk with me and to answer all my questions. My only complaint is that the selection of glasses is quite expensive, even though they were all really nice. I also had a difficult time getting in touch with them, because I was unable to call during business hours due to my job, and my voicemails went unanswered twice before I finally was able to call during the day. I did like that they had Saturday hours. Overall I would definitely recommend it.

STAYAWAY!!! I bought the coupon on groupon. Like most things on groupon, it was no deal at all. I ended up spending close to $ 250 on a pair of glasses I didn’t want, but was the only thing in my price range. It’s been 3 ½ weeks and still no glasses!!! I found Lou incredibly arrogant

After a receipt Groupon purchase, I found my way to Philadelphia Eyeglass Labs. I walked-in and was immediately greeted by Lou. I was looking for a pair of prescription sunglasses at a reasonable price. He was very helpful in finding a set of frames and lenses that worked in my budget. I placed my order that day, and within 3 days they were ready for me to pick up. When I picked them up, Lou helped make sure they were a good fit and that I was happy with the results.
