Very dirty both the rest room stairway and in the eating area, food was not fresh for a Saturday afternoon with 20 people seated… Would not recommend ever!

Very limited selection for such a huge restaurant. The things we tried were ok though, nothing special

Prompt service, fair prices, but no utensils or napkins with our takeout. Convenience is hard to beat when staying at the Holiday Inn. Food: edamame, 5⁄5 – fresh, ample portion, with an unusual peanut sauce in place of the seasoned salt I would have used for dipping at home; scallion pancake, 3⁄5 – tasty but a little damp, chewy rather than crispy, with none of the usual soy-vinegar-ginger sauce; spring rolls – 4⁄5; and broccoli with garlic sauce, 5⁄5 – perfectly cooked to just the right crunch, with a rich, spicy sauce. Recommend.

The place was completely empty on Friday night at 9pm. The food was okay, the choice was limited as I suspect they were about to close at 10 pm. The green tea was very dark? The place is fine if you are looking for a very quick meal

It would be foolish to say that there is such thing has a perfect place to eat. I have been reading reviews of restaurants and locations for many years, and the first thing I notice is– people will spend more time complaining than they would praising the competency it takes to run a restaurant. China Buffet has never done anything wrong to me. I have ordered four times from them in the past three months, and I have been satisfied every time. It is upsetting(and honestly, bad for business) that their primary photo is of a customer complaint where they had metal shavings in their food. Mistakes happen, albeit speculative, all the time. We live in Berkshire County, people. I am neither saying that this is a problem, nor is it better or worse than any other area; but we need to take a moment to understand reality with what we are saying in these reviews. The waiting room is clean, the entrance is well-displayed, the alleyway to wish we get to the restaurant front is always well-organized; and the food(the reason why we are even there is the first place) is good. Xie xie, China Buffet!

We usually do take out or delivery. Good and tasty and always hot when it arrives. Also very willing to tailor a dish as in adding tofu to sautéed string beans. For the area, the best option. We appreciate the polite service and the variety as well.

Loved the food, they saw us carrying our chargers in and immediately offered us a power strip! As an AT thru hiker, those are the kind of gestures that get you a fiver star Unilocal review.

I found metal shavings in my shrimp Singapore Mei Fun(curry rice noodles with vegetables and shrimp.) I will never eat food from here again. I posted a photo of what I pulled out of my food. There may be more in there, but I had enough after finding these two. Atrocious. Just atrocious.

This place was pretty good. It’s not the biggest buffet and it’s definitely more tending towards the side of American-Chinese food, but I thought that the food was well executed and there were a few positive surprises, which I discuss below. Hiding away in one corner of the buffet was a very well-executed basil chicken, which is a Thai dish, not Chinese. It was just as good as I’ve had in a number of Thai Restaurants, a hidden gem amongst Chinese-American specialties. There was also a single type of sushi, a maki roll, hiding away in the part of the buffet along the wall too, near the condiments. It was quite good, especially for buffet sushi, and this place did not try to load the sushi up with a bunch of rice – the amount of rice on the sushi was actually quite sparse, which surprised me. The dishes here were consistently good. Nothing was below-average. The hot-and-sour soup and wonton soup were both good. The sauteed string beans with garlic and onion were quite good too. I would definitely come back and would definitely recommend this place. No, it’s not the most authentic. No, it does not have the biggest selection among buffets. But the two gems of sushi and the Thai basil chicken, combined with the consistently solid quality of the rest of the dishes, would keep me coming back. Oh, and this place is very cheap to boot!!! Can you say heck yeah? Suggestion, if they want to ramp up the quality a bit:(1) use less sugar in the American-Chinese dishes.(2) offer one or two more authentic items. Chinese broccoli, or perhaps some dim-sum-like dumplings would be nice and pretty easy to add.
