Ciao Bow Wow

I will never go to another pet store for dog food! I used to live in the N Andover area and found them because I wanted to feed my dog better quality holistic dog food, so I stopped in and have been loyal since. I moved 20 minutes away and live near plenty of other stores and still drive up to get my dogs food from ciao bow wow. The owner and staff are wonderful; knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, they even know my name and my pets name when I come in the door. I love that they dont sell any animals in the store too! And they support other local businesses. I cant say enough wonderful things about this store and staff! Thank you Mel. xoxo from Thor :)

Mel is the BEST! It is so refreshing to shop at a business where the owner clearly loves what she does. Quality merchandise and a large selection of the healthiest pet food you can find. Mel doesn’t stock anything she hasn’t thoroughly researched or tried for her own pets. A great source of information and advice to prolong the health of our Labs. Always a pleasure shopping here.

I don’t know how it is that I’m just getting around to writing this review! I’ve been a client of CIao Bow Wow since the shop was at its previous location in Rowley. But, never mind that… This is my absolute favorite place to buy anything and everything for my dogs! Melanie LaRocca, the owner, is on site nearly every day and is committed to providing more than just great service; Mel and her staff have thorough knowledge of nearly every item in the store. They are all animal lovers and owners committed to offering top notch products and super premium food to your pets. Whether you need a low protein diet for your senior pet, or you want to go raw, or need help picking out something new, there’s always someone knowledgable and eager to help at Ciao Bow Wow.
And there’s not just food. Mel always has a fantastic selection of herbal remedies, plushies (even organic ones!), gorgeous dog beds, treats, birthday party supplies (for your dog obviously!), crates, carriers, collars, and beautiful gift items.

She stocks tons of great options to feed your pet top quality foods and treats as well as natural treatments for flea and ticks this store is top shelf and she is all about customer service– Loves her customers and their pets as well as her job and it shows! Bravo!!!

Melanie, the owner, is the best! She is kind, knowledgeable and truly cares about dogs and cats. Her store is clean and is always well stocked with the latest in holistic, natural and high quality dog and cat foods, treats and supplies. She always has something exciting going on at the store as well, whether it be a nail clipping session, a rep from a dog/​cat food company, or an educational topic. And as an aside, my two dogs love her!

We found Ciao Bow Wow in Rowley, and have shopped in North Andover since they moved (larger store, more parking!)
Others have mentioned that this store is the owner’s passion — and shopping here is a passion for me and our four dogs — plus a sometimes visiting granddog. I trust Melanie: to have quality, and to know my dogs. Everyone in the store is super nice and super knowledgeable. If I can’t find something, I ask: an x-​large Kong blow-​up doughnut for a just neutered newf? Ciao Bow Wow had it —
didn’t! The events at the store are always interesting and varied, too.
Plus, her prices are great, and sometimes even better than the big box places — which don’t carry the top brands anyway.
Basically, I love this store and the people in it.

Mel, as well as the rest of the staff is outstanding. She truly cares about every person and every dog that walks through the door and will do her best to get you what you need.

I am also reviewing the shop in North Andover — this store is great! I feed my GSD and Husky Fromm Adult Gold food, and couldn’t find it anywhere, but Ciao! Bow Wow has it, in stock, all the time. I drive from over 20 miles away and they will always gladly put the bags aside for me until I get there. Recently, we purchased a bag that was from a bad batch, causing both of my dogs to become sick. They gladly accepted its exchange for a different bag, no arguments whatsoever. The staff is always incredibly kind and helpful, and it’s always a pleasant shopping experience!

Heard about this business from a friend. The address in Unilocal says Rowley but I’m reviewing the store in the Butcher Boy Plaza in North Andover. The puppy food recommended by our breeder is sold only by them (in the area). At my first visit, Mel, the owner was with a customer and what I was looking for was out of stock. She was more than helpful in taking my order and calling me upon it’s arrival. The store is really cute, offers many unique pet products and the prices are very good. You can really tell this is a passion and not a job for Mel. I highly recommend a visit to Ciao Bow Wow.

This is my favorite pet store, period. Mel, the owner, is knowledgeable and goes out of her way to help you find what you need. She has amazing dog treats and toys, and my 2 dogs think they are in heaven every time we visit.
