Came from Brooklyn to visit my sister after a week on Cape Cod. My pedicure was a mess and I needed some pampering and peace. To be honest my first impression of the shop from outside was not great, but man-​o-​man did they change my mind. I got the basic pedicure with an additional salt rub. My feet were pampered, massaged, cleaned, pruned, etc for a full hour and my nails looked absolutely fantastic at the end. In NY a basic pedicure will get you MAYBE a half hour. I will absolutely be back when I’m in town, and told my sister to treat herself by going here as well.

I’m from out of town and they took me right away they were attentive and courteous. They also didn’t try to over sell me on anything like I’m used to! Great salon easy to get to and decent parking!

I went in on a Sunday afternoon there were 2 people getting pedicures and no one waiting. The women were very friendly and actually called another employee in to do my pedicure. I only waited about 5 min. He was very good at getting my cuticles properly trimmed and the pedicure was great overall. This is strictly a nail salon and their prices were excellent. $ 25 for a basic pedi which included the sugar scrub. Very clean and newer pedi massage chairs. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because this is my first time and I want to see how it is after a few more visits. Also they didn’t have a wide variety of funky colors, mostly classic pinks and reds with a few others.

My favorite place to get a manicure. The staff is always super friendly and accommodating, whether you need a glass of water or a place to plug in your phone, they are always looking out for their guests! The place is clean and roomy, some nail salons have drying stations that are very tight and not comfortable. I am always happy at Platinum and I tell everyone to go there. Price is good too, and the quality is always up to par.

I just moved to North Andover and have been dying to get my nails done since it’s been forever. It seemed like the Unilocal reviews were pretty good so I decided to give it a go this past week.
Overall, I’d say they the quality of work was good for the price (I got a full set of acrylics with white tips and at the salon I used to go to they were pricier). I do wish that the ladies there were more personable and professional, and maybe it was because they were wrapping things up… but it was only 5:30 p.m. and no one else was in the place… so I felt like I was sort of rushed towards the end of things. The woman also said about 5 words to me, and I do appreciate at least a little small talk because it makes the time go faster and seems like they’re actually going out of their way to make you have a good experience, but oh well I guess. I maaaay try somewhere else to check out the atmosphere, but it wasn’t a terrible experience.

Great acrylics were done for my friend, but my shellac job was done so poorly and uneven. She kept trying to redo it and would keep messing up… A basic shellac shouldn’t take 1 ½ hours…

I’ve been to salons in Andover, Chelsmford, Lowell and North Andover and nothing comes close to Platinum Nails.
This salon put the most effort in their work and their quality is unsurpassed!
They have always accomdated me — either during the weekday or weekend; morning or night.
Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. They introduce themselves to their customers and make everyone feel very comfortable.
The salon is very clean and is kept up nicely. Tools are always disenfected and everything is organized.
The ladies all do a great job. They give extra attention to their work and it shows. I get a gel manicure and lasts 3 weeks without any chipping!
Pedicures are the best — Mai is so sweet and really takes her time.
I highly recommened Platinum Nails!

I’ve been to a lot of nail shops and let me tell you, this is REALLY as good as it gets. So clean you could eat off the floors. Highly competent nail artists. Nice atmosphere. I’ve only had the best of service. They’ve worked me in when I was having a weirdly busy time and they’re always so kind. They’re all excellent.

I stopped here as I was in town for a wedding. I thought it would be a great place based on the reviews on Unilocal.Needless to say I was disappointed with the service.
First off, I called the morning of to make an appointment. I showed up at the time they told me to and was made to wait 15 minutes then another 20 in the pedicure chair, total of 35 minute wait time!
After 35 minutes the lady rushed me through a pedicure and did a half-​ass job at it to boot. Not sure if it’s because she realized I was from out of town, but it shouldn’t matter. I’m a paying customer and should be treated like everyone else. If the treatment I got is par for the course — stay away!
Totally not a typical pedicure experience, and for $ 25, not worth it.

I had been there a few years ago when it was under different management. I went today for a pedi and mani. Originally I was going to get gel tips but they were VERY honest with me about how similar the gel tips were to the acrylic. Where I didn’t want that again (drill and all) they worked with me on my wants, needs, etc.
Kayla booked my next appointment for me while I was there. I really look forward to going back in a few weeks for my next mani.
I’d recommend them. The salon was open, clean & airy. They had very good customer service and they have great hours for the working Mom.

I had never had a manicure before — always did my own. But now that I have a newborn and wash my hands 1000 times a day, I thought I would check out the OPI Axxium gel manicure that I have heard rave reviews about. (They last 2+ wks no wear or chips!)
I called at 10:30 and asked for an 11:30 appointment — which was fine. I got there at few minutes early and was seated right away. The staff were all VERY friendly, sweet, and talkative.
Kayla did a fantastic job on my nails. (Which is a lot coming from me
because I am super picky.)
I will definitely be going back here in 2+ weeks for a new gel manicure when this one is due for a touch up.
