Salon Two Nine

I just had my hair highlighted by Allison — she is truly a color master! I have ash blond hair and I really like my highlights to be cool-​toned (not yellow/​gold) and Allison can achieve this color better than anyone I’ve ever gone too — that includes great salons in Chicago. You cannot go wrong with Allison.

From the receptionist to the staff, everyone has been great. Everyone is always so positive! Great service, and great results! I love the fact that you can get a haircut and tan at the same place. I’m setting my girls up with a summer salon day when school gets out.

A little gem in North Aurora! I’m a new customer and I’ve only been to Salon Two Nine three times but I have always walked out of there happy! The customer service is up to par and the salon itself is clean and well managed. The online booking is extremely helpful. Casey is my preffered stylist and she always does amazing work without being arrogant. I’ve been to a lot of salons and I think that Salon Two Nine is a small business that always does it right! Their prices reflect that without overcharging for services.

So I got a mani-​pedi from here and O.M.G. Wait sorry, not used to reviewing salons, let me try again.
I went to Two Nine looking to get roughed up, massage style. Found a killer deal for two 60 minute massages for $ 72, are you kidding me? Brittany gave a great Swedish massage and had excellent pressure. She was great about asking what felt good and didn’t and the experience left me relaxed and wobbling like a bowl of Jello.
I am not sure I would know a 5-​star salon if it bit me in my recently massage behind, but for what its worth I felt comfortable here as the only guy in the building.

I am ghostly pale. Even in the middle of summer, I am just a pale person.
Occasionally, I’ll indulge in a spray tan when I am going somewhere special. I’ve been to this salon twice for the «Fantasy Tan» and both times my technician was Jennica. She has been great!
Before this, I have tried the booths at the tanning salon with the machine that sprays you. Even on the lowest tan setting, I look orange and streaked.
The first time I went to Salon Two Nine was right before my wedding and Jennica did an excellent, thorough job making sure I was just tan enough to have a glow without looking overdone. She gave great directions on how to make the tan last & not streak too. I absolutely loved it. The second experience more recently was just as good as the first. She is very personable while still be professional.
The other girl at the front counter came across as snobby, but was still very courteous. The salon was clean and well maintained. I’ll definitely be back!
The tans are 3 for $ 99. I’ll happily pay more to get a nice, even tan with colors mixed specifically for me.

Decent place. Cute stylists. But I sadly don’t recommend color there. $ 145 for highlights and a toner. Pretty average outcome. I really wish I would have liked it more.

I went here to get an emergency manicure. I have never been here before and was looking for a reasonably priced mani. I got a normal mani for 25 $ and was fairly pleased with the outcome. It didn’t last long, but it was good for a while. I got them done by Christina who was not very talkitive. But I am glad they were there and the ability to schedule appts online is VERY helpful!
