Perfect Nails and Spa

So, I called numerous times on a Saturday between noon-​3pm figuring I’d set up an appt for Sunday but no answer… After calling each number from the websites about 8 times I had my boyfriend stop by on his way home from work at 3pm (they state their hours are until 5pm), and they were closed…
Finally, I texted Kim via the number given on the voicemail machine and set up and appt for Sunday with no problem. I had a great deluxe pedicure and fill-​in manicure… :) however it was odd that we were the only two in the salon as she said she works alone on Sunday’s… The only complaint that I have is about the hours, if a business clearly gives hours stated on its website, voicemail, and business sign out front, they should abide by said hours… Otherwise, change your hours to «by appt only» for certain days if need be. But other than that, it was a great experience!!! :)

I am always happy with the service I get at Beauty by the Bay. I love having a great view while being pampered.

If you have long hair and care about it don’t go here! I arrived early for my appointment and the owner asked why I did not come earlier… she had somewhere to go. It was explained that the person who made my appointment was told that I have very long hair. The situation went from bad to worse when my hair was highlighted. She combed it in the bowl and then had it so knotted that it took over 2 hours for me to get the knots out. She was helping but she was literally ripping the hair out of my head and I had to stop her before I was bald! I had to take several advil because of the pain. Then she told me that she would not finish and when I left I said I will see you later she told me not to come back she did not want to take care of my hair. This is the worst experience I have ever had and it cost me over $ 300 to fix the mess she made. I cannot believe an owner of any business would treat a customer like that… if you don’t like what your doing get out of the business! I will never go back and have told all my friends about this horrible business.

I always have a great experience at Beauty By The Bay! Everyone is nice and makes you feel welcome. I love the pedicure chairs and shampoo chairs — the massages they give are wonderful! I have been a customer for over a year and am always pleased with the services (haircut, hair color, manicure, pedicure) I have had done. The prices are reasonable also. I am glad I tried them and always look forward to returning!

I went to beauty by the bay because I have had good experiences with the place before but I haven’t been there since my stylist went elsewhere. I will NOT be returning. The stylist I had was very good BUT in the whole three hours it took to foil, cut, and style my hair not once did she smile. I work in retail and customer service so everyday I have to talk to people and even when I’m having a bad day my customers always get a smile and pleasant conversation. The rest of the girls in the place seemed equally disinterested in customers. One actually walked from the front, past me, all the way to the back of the salon without even looking up from her cell phone. My stylist looked at the clock so many times I apologized for having such thick hair.
All in all the color was good, cut was decent, prices are reasonable, but I did not feel welcome there at all. I don’t need anyone’s life story but a few pleasantries and a smile would be nice. The entire salon needs an attitude adjustment.

What a great place! Everyone is super nice and accommodating; and the salon is elegant and beautiful. Just had a pedi and brow wax this time with Tina (who is wonderful) but look forward to many more luxurious and relaxing experiences!!!
