Service is always a little slow here, because they are 1) the best in town and 2) they are always packed. Great drink menu. Really comprehensive and a lot of variety. They went a unique with the food choices. Mostly high quality sandwiches with French fries. I’ve been here a couple of times and been pleased by the food, but a tad disappointed in the service. Not enough to keep me away though. Usually stop in as tourist after a hike at Snoqualmie.

So this place is absolutely adored by locals and many out of towners but it’s never really stuck with me. One of the big reasons is that it is always busy, especially on weekends. It’s a bit of a tourist trap if you ask me. The décor is rustic and cool, they have decent stuff for the kids and overall it’s a pretty decent place. The bar area is spacious, the restaurant are is a bit cramped. They do have decent food. I’ve eaten here at least 6 – 7 times in the past year and 80% of the time the food is great. Here’s some good stuff from the menu I’ve had: The Woodman Salad — highly recommend it Scottish Hunter’s stew pie — also very good Any of the burgers Steak — it was cooked well but maybe a tad bit too seasoned(depends on what you like) Here’s some stuff that could use improvements: Beef Stroganoff– completely bland and tasteless Buffalo chicken strips — they were ok, but it was pretty much processed pre-frozen chicken strips doused in Frank’s Red Hot. When I first moved here I thought this was pretty much the only decent sit down restaurant in the area but have since discovered other places just as good and possibly better. If you’re here on a week day, the Grill is a great option. On a weekend, skip it and find a different place.

Nice lodge style interior, comfortable atmosphere. They have really good homemade chips here! The brioche bread was a nice touch with the sandwiches and everything hit the spot. Extensive beer menu for those looking for good selection. A nice find after a long day of skiing. Will definitely be back.

This place… the food is just awesome. Service is great. Nice bar selection great atmosphere. Their onion rings are so worth the hour drive, plus the railroad museum is right on the way so I usually make it a ½ day. This is def one of my favorite places to eat or meet for coffee. And they have pretty good coffee!

On the way back from tubing, we chose this place based on the Unilocal reviews, unfortunately it was a pretty disappointing experience. We showed up around 2pm on a Sunday and were told it would be «20−30 min» wait for our group of 4(two adults and 2 kids). 30 minutes later we checked on how close we were only to be told that there were«3 other groups of 4 ahead of us» — huh? Another 15 minutes and this time something about«we are just waiting on the table». After a total of 60+ minutes we were seated. As we had forever to wait, we had grabbed the menu and were ready to order the minute we were seated. Which our waitress was kind enough to take. 40 minutes later our burger, salad, and two kids meals arrived. so painful. and hour and 40 minutes from the time we walked in to the time we started to eat! thank god the kids somehow didn’t implode. The kids meals were not worth the money — $ 5 for one tiny slider and some fries? Our burger was ok, while the beet salad with chicken was really good, but $ 14.99 is much more like a price you’d expect in Seattle then in N. Bend. Overall, the place desperately needs a hostess who can get creative on seating(ie. a group of 6 was seated before us even though they arrived after us — which happens, but not when one uses two 4 person tables to do it!). And some help with operations, especially as one would assume it’s not the first time the place got hit by a sunday afternoon rush of people coming off the mountain. We won’t be back, but at least our waitress Courtney was very good, which was frankly the only reason we left her a 20% tip — we’ve both been servers and it sucks when someone takes it out on you when you do a great job but other things in the place were so so at best.

My co-workers and I ate here last night after a staff retreat in the mountains. We were all so impressed with the quality of service, food, and ambiance at this cozy small town restaurant! We enjoyed a warm table by the fire. Their burgers and salads are amazing — especially the salmon quinoa salad! For fun we gave the fried pickles a try — and they were surprisingly amazing! So good. Much better than anything we expected to find in the North Bend area. Definitely going back next time I hike in the area.

An awesome local bar and grill with big portions of tasty food and lovely ambiance. We sat near the fire place and looked out to Mt Si and the local quaint train station. We tried the homemade chips with the yummy caramelized onion dip and the portion was big enough for 4 at least. I enjoyed the gluten free perfectly spicy buffalo wings accompanied by carrots celery and ranch dressing. The $ 6 kids sliders and salad was a very generous portion and my daughter loved it all. They have a great selection of local beers and ciders on tap. I would highly recommend this to anyone passing through and especially any foreigner coming to Washington state for the first time as a perfect example of true americana pub for bar and grill food in a lovely environment with mostly American music as a perfect example of why I love the northwest!

This place has a great menu with a lot of variation. I like the small plates section especially the Blackened Thai Chicken Tacos. The server we had was really good as well, they didn’t have the beer I order but she substituted another one and knew all of the technical aspects of each beer so that the substation was very close. It’s not very often you come across a restaurant that is so well run.

I’ve lived in North Bend for 16 years and enjoy going out for dinner at some of the local restaurants. North Bend Bar and Grill is one I like to go to for lunch and occasionally dinner. The food had been«ok», large portions, but nothing really special until now. My wife and I went there last Tuesday for dinner and the food was amazing. We started with the mussels in a beautiful Thai broth. It came with a large piece of flat bread for dipping. If you’ve been to Tom Douglas’s Ettas, and had the seafood stew, it’s a similar broth to the one they use with the stew. Delicious! For the main course we had the beef short ribs. Again, they were amazing! They were served on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes with some mixed vegetables on the side. The service was prompt but relaxed. All in all a great experience. We will definitely be going back soon. Now we really have a fine dinning restaurant in little old North Bend

Ok. I must have hit breakfast on a bad day. Been there since for breakfast, it’s great. I love their food any time of day. Best place in north bend, hands down.

First off I had high hopes for this place as I saw the food coming out, it looked amazing. Unfortunately the food was subpar at best. A major disappointment for 4 hungry patrons. The burger tasted like a frozen patty, the fish tacos tasted like fish from a can, the fries were not that great even though their menu says«best in town» I would had given this place a 1 star, but the staff was AMAZING. So friendly, helpful, and accommodating.

Best place to go… after a hike. NBBG gives you really generous portions for the value you’re paying for. It’s really close to all the general hikes in the area(Rattle Snakes, Mt Si… etc). If you’re hungry after your hike or just want a huge place to eat this is the spot. There’s a lot of parking spots and the servers are pretty nice and friendly.

I should start off by saying that this is probably the best food you’re going to get all the way in North Bend, and if I was able to give half stars it would definitely be 3.5. I had the roasted pork salsa verde dish, served with obrian potatoes, eggs over medium, two warmed tortillas and a side of French toast. In terms of value, it’s actually a great deal as portion sizes are huuuuge. My main dish ended up being a little bit too salty and the sauce was far too liquidy. Flavors were actually pretty good, and the pork was nice and fall apart tender. The waitress was raving about their French toast and all their homemade bread so I was really excited for it, but unfortunately, was pretty let down. While the bread was decent, it didn’t seem to soak in the batter long enough to get that nice custardy texture you expect from French toast, it was really more like eggs and bread to be honest. The syrup was nice and light, and they added a nice touch by warming up the syrup; which I can definitely appreciate. All in all, for what you pay, it’s not the worse way you could spend your money. If you’re all the way out here, and keep your expectations in line, you’d be in for a little bit of a treat.

Tired after a long hike in the woods or up at the summit? Make sure to stop here on the way home! They offer an extensive menu including gluten free and vegetarian options. There are also about 20 taps, including ciders and wine that rotate regularly. If you feel overwhelmed by the menu or unsure of your choice, just ask and the staff will work with you. Quick tip: It is popular so try to call in a seat reservation or come with parties 21+ so you can sit in the bar.

Went here on a friend’s recommendation. Upon pulling into the parking lot, I was a little worried because this place looks like a chain. It’s like too cookie cutter looking. But, I was soooo wrong. To start off, my «refresca» cocktail was totally yummy and delish. Quinn’s beer was beer. Can’t get that wrong. Quinn ordered their rueben on homemade rye. That sandwich was out of this world. I had bites. I can vouch that it was amazing. It didn’t have sauerkraut, but instead a sort of purple cabbage salad on it? Still good, but Quinn’s a big sauerkraut guy. There wasn’t much on the menu that was gluten free, so I ordered a salad. I was bummed because I don’t always want to order a salad, ya know? Nevertheless, this salad was bombtastic. I got their take on a cobb, which came with huge chunks of bacon(pork belly?), turkey, avocado, egg, tomatoes, and I subbed goat cheese for bleu cheese. The toppings were very, VERY generous. And the dressing was the best. I’m seriously raving on and on about a salad! I told Quinn that this was the best salad I’ve ever had. I want it again. It didn’t even feel like I was eating a salad because the toppings were so intense. Not sure how healthy my salad choice was, but who can complain? Next time we’re in North Bend, we’re eating here.

North Bend Bar & Grill is a fairly large restaurant/bar that undoubtedly is a favorite among folks coming back from skiing the slopes or hiking the nearby trails. Even at 5:30 this place was pretty packed. You’ll find pretty typical bar foods such as burgers, sandwiches, etc., but I will say go for those dinner menu options. The chicken fried steak looked awesome and made me regret ordering a burger. Regardless the burger itself was very good and loaded to the gills with the acoutrements. The only thing I wish was different was the burger bun itself because it was far too soft to handle how large the burger was. Their fries are pretty decent, clearly made from fresh potatoes and when they’re fresh, nice and crispy. Despite the large crowds here service was pretty fast and finally the food is moderately priced.

Huge portions of lousy food. The beer was good, the service adequate. I just can’t get over how bad the ruben sandwich was. I will give them credit for having good toasted bread but after that it was greasy, flavorless, and full of grey, overcooked corned beef which tasted like some I-90 chunks of retread from a semi. The chicken strips weren’t as bad, but likewise not worth buying again. Do yourself a favor and buy a bag of chips and a twenty-two at QFC and save your appetite and money for when you get home.

Food is mediocre, service even worse. Was looking for a breakfast spot and ended up arriving 10min too late and was stuck with lunch. First off, I had to walk over to the bar to get our servers attention and let him know we were ready to order. My double cheeseburger was possibly a step above McDonald’s. French fries as well were mediocre. The poor service is definitely its downfall. We had to ask for everything: napkins/silverware, refills, and our check. Skip this place if I were you.

My friends and I stopped in at NBBG after a weekend of camping and hiking for some much-needed R&R, and this place definitely delivered a restorative breakfast. I had the ugly scramble with sourdough and the O’Brien potatoes, which despite being a four-egg scramble filled me up like a six-egg scramble. The scramble was really hearty and chock full of ham, mushrooms, and all kinds of other good stuff. Their ham is super tasty, by the way. I’m a big fan of their sourdough toast, and the O’Brien potatoes were well-seasoned and generally good even though they were a bit overdone. My friends enjoyed their Monterey scrambles and had only good things to say about the coffee. Service was friendly albeit a bit absent(I found myself facing an empty water glass a couple of times), and overall it was a really pleasant experience. The dining room is really good looking, too. All things considered, I’ll definitely bring my exhausted and disheveled post-camping self back again.

We were visiting North Bend for a weekend concert festival and this place looked like it could be good. It sure was packed and there was a 30 minute wait to get a seat. They have a great selection of beer including two different IPAs, one of my favorites and one of my wife’s favorites, which we sampled while waiting for our table. When we got to our seat a little ahead of their time quote we discovered they have a comprehensive menu with choices to fit most any tastes. I ordered the fish and chips, which were tasty but a little dry. The fries were billed in the menu as some of the best anywhere, which set my expectations high. The fries were ok, but didn’t quite deliver on the menu’s promise. Perhaps it was because it was a little later in the evening by the time we we seated and eating? Fries tasted like they may have been sitting for a little while. Overall not too bad, this is more of a nitpick. Service was good. The waitress was reasonably attentive and my beer was only empty for a short time before being asked if I wanted a refill(like she had to ask :) Considering this is one of the only choices in town, we’ll certainly be back the next time we visit North Bend.
