Golftec North Bethesda

I have taken lessons over many years with very little success. I finally found Golftec North Bethesda and it has been tremendously helpful in not only my basic swing but in all aspects of the game. Seeing your flaws on camera, in slow motion, compared with proper technique, etc. is the only way to learn how to play the game and correct those flaws (of which I had many). Being able to work on my game year round is also beneficial. I would encourage anyone wanting to improve and take their game to the next level to give them a call.

Moved to DC 6 months, been playing golf for 8 years. Although I went to multiple clinics, lessons, 4 day camps etc…, my game kind of stalled in the high 80s for the past 6 years. Worse than that, my understanding of swing dynamics is pretty much where it was 8 years ago.
Friend from Dallas told me to check out Golftec (he joined one in Dallas). In essence Golftec facility tapes your every swing and a coach plays it back for you with feedback. Very high tech. I like having a scientific approach to my golf game and really need some one to break down my swing, and show me different parts to truly appreciate what I am doing and what I should be doing. Having every swing being taped from different angles with constant feedback makes my learning process a lot easier. Spent about 3 sessions realizing my take away was a root cause of my problems (really great seeing the problem on digital video in super slow mode).
I am on lesson # 6 and my swing has changed more in last 3 month than in the previous 8 years. My set up stopped changing after every swing, I now see and feel different parts of my swing. Currently working on my transition /​more efficient hip turn.
I had to take a little hiatus while Mark Tanner (the owner/​coach) was opening up his new store in North Bethesda. Although it is a much longer drive for me from DC that his previous location, he is the best coach I ever had and he is able to explain to me information in different ways of what is going on with my swing, until I get it. Being able to see it is great but having someone relate it to you in the way that it gets across is just amazing.
This combination of technology and top notch personal coaching makes this a great learning experience. I hope more people get into this style of teaching so they can take their game to the next level.
