Visited the night after Christmas. The room was the perfect temperature when we got in. So often hotels turn off the heat when there is no one there. New furniture, paint and carpet. Sheets as white as can be. Fluffy pillows. A quick breakfast in the lobby. I would visit this chain again based on my experience.

I grew up in North Branch, and my son and I are back to visit for Christmas. We thought we’d try the AmericInn, and I am(very!) pleasantly surprised! It looks like they have all new carpeting throughout, updated furniture, etc. Nothing in our room, or the common areas is raggedy… much nicer than the Holiday Inn Express we stayed at the other night on the way! The staff is just plain awesome… friendly, helpful. We had some friends come to play in the pool, and while they charge a little bit for it, it’s a pittance to get some swimming in when it’s 26 degrees outside! The pool is good sized, and they have a changing/restroom area for outside guests. They also have a good-sized hot tub. All-in-all, this is my new go-to place to stay when we’re in town.

Completely decent place to stay. Sort of modern lodge feel, with wood«product» surfaces rather than real wood. The staff are outstanding, from the competent front desk people to the helpful and pleasant cleaning people. Rooms are pretty much your standard hotel room, though with dirty floors — my husband’s white socks are black on the bottom just from walking around in our room. Aside from that, other things seem clean and functional. Dig the in-room microwave and fridge. Here’s something that must change: the creepy slogan for Americinn Lodge(a chain around these parts). «Welcome to the end of your day.» This is so morbid to me. It’s all over the place and it kinda freaks me out. There’s a decent pool, hot tub and sauna(all indoor as it gets awfully cold around here in the winters I’m told). Continental breakfast is fine — your standard cereal, waffles, hard boiled eggs and so forth. There’s a pleasant snack hour in the evening with a fireplace lounge area. Oh and the highspeed internet allowed my husband to work during the days here, and me to Unilocal in the evenings(important!). Dirty socks not-withstanding, it’s a good place to stay. I’d stay here again.
