The coffee is always fresh, just like the bagels. This place is retry good but the service is a little lacking.

I’m guessing because this is on the western side of 287 people are judging these bagels against what is available locally. In my opinion these bagels are average at best. I have never seen an everything bagel with seeds on only one side. LMAO. How cheap can you be ??

The food is delicious, however it’s frustrating when you’re ordering off the menu and the girls that work there don’t understand anything you’re saying. I’ve walked out of there more times than not with a messed up order. I understand if they don’t speak perfect English but they should at least know what’s on the menu.

Worth the extra 5 minutes on to my commute. The cinnamon raisin bagel is out of this world. I’m used to having great bagels and this continues to hit the spot. The staff is always friendly and quick.

Food is great. Language barrier is frustrating and a $ 10 min on Amex at breakfast. No thanks. There are better bagel joints on 22.

The bagels here are absolutely fresh. They’re served warm with a variety of options to go with them(i.e. lots of cream cheese choices, eggs etc.). One of my favorite bagels is the French toast! The service is generally pretty good, though I’ve had a poor experience once. The lines are usually pretty long on the weekends, so make sure you’re prepared to wait. Also, money wise — great deal for fresh breakfast. They also have frozen bagels you can buy!

So, I came here for the first time the other weekend to get some bagel sandwiches. It’s in a standard NJ strip mall just like many other NJ bagel places. This place is usually packed which is good and bad. Good because it typically is a good sign for the food and bad because you may be waiting for a while. I walked in and the place was packed. In my opinion, they don’t have the most efficient ordering system. You get in line and don’t order until you get to the cash register which is kind of strange, so you have to wait a while to place your order. Once you place it, though, the person begins making it immediately. That may have been tough to follow, but if you go, you’ll see what I’m talking about. Anyways, I ordered 2 turkey sandwiches on a bagel with cheddar cheese(one for me and one for my wife). I was very excited to see that they had jalapeño everything bagels. I love jalapenos and I love everything bagels so I was excited to give it a try. I had never seen this type of bagel before. I’m not sure if it was a special bagel or if it’s something they have regularly. After placing the order, the girl who take my order came back and told me they didn’t have cheddar cheese. I’m not sure if that meant they were out of it or don’t carry it. If they don’t carry it, she should have told me that when I ordered. I did think it took way too long for two bagel sandwiches to be made as people who had ordered well after me were in and out while I was still waiting. That’s my main knock on this place. But…most importantly, the sandwiches were very good. The turkey was great and I was really impressed with the jalapeño everything bagel. I’m not sure if they use Boar’s Head but it was definitely a higher quality turkey than most places. I thought the prices were pretty reasonable and on par with other bagel shops. Overall, I was definitely impressed. I will definitely head back and I will even update my review if they can get me in and out quicker. The parking lot is busy but it’s still pretty easy to find a spot. I would imagine this has to be one of the better bagel places in the area.

Bagel rating only since that is all I buy here: the best in this area. Have the right chew which makes/breaks a bagel. I have been buying from them since they first opened.

The bagels are fantastic! Unfortunately, the service is so bad it takes 45 minutes to get a plain bagel.

Very good bagels. Some of the best in NJ. They also make these larger flat bagels that I think are called Bialis that are awesome but very expensive so I don’t usually buy them.

Arrived and waited in line for bit on a Sunday morning. It was pretty crowded but that wasn’t a bad sign! You get to watch the bagels baking right in front of you, so you know which ones are the most fresh. I ordered a frenchtoast, everything whole wheat, and a mini plain(because they were fresh!). All of them were good. I’m giving 4 stars because I have had better bagels before and these bagels were less than what I had expected but still good. I would love to go back and try a sandwich next time.

New Jersey bagel places are a dime a dozen. None stand out so much that I’d write a review– with the exception being bagels 4 U. The employees are always happy and while English is definitely a second language. The freshly made bagels and selection of take-away cream cheeses is to die for.

Great fresh made bagels. If your lucky you may catch them making a fresh batch. I also love their cream cheeses and sandwiches. I believe this is a chain but a great one at that.

Considering that bagels west of Hoboken have a historical bad rap, this place is really a gem. The appear to be both boiled and baked on premise, and anyone in-the-know will tell you, that matters. The lox was ok, the spreads were ok, and the service is speedy and efficient. It has the general ambience of a waiting room at a Jiffy Lube, but for take-out, its above average.

Really, really good bagels. They are a great texture and really satisfy that bagel craving. I also loved the cream cheese(I had scallion) and it was possible for me to taste it very well because there was about ½ a cup of it on my bagel. Not complaining… I’d rather have too much than too little. The service was fast, if not a little terse, and there was a bit of a language barrier. That was annoying, but nothing I can’t suck up and deal with. The best thing is that they sell their bagels frozen at 6 for $ 1.50. AWESOME. The place is super clean and there are tables available to eat in.

I have been going to bagels 4 u for a very very long time… I remember going to their warren location probably for 15 years. The one thing about bagels 4 u, yes they make their own bagels so its a huge plus. Their bagels are ok to blah, none of their bagels wow me. I am used to nyc bagels but on place in nj is hands down the best. It puts bagels 4 u to shame with the quality and craftsmanship of their bagels. Yes I did say craftsmanship, if you don’t like it I dont care b/c its a craft to make a good bagel. O’Bagel in stirling is the best bagel in nj, what is funny is that people that were bagel freaks from ny that tried obagel at work, wanted Obagel over anything else. Try them out! Ok back to bagels 4 u, the staff has always been meaning well but its nice if one person speaks good english so they don’t screw up the order. I don’t like to say that about them b/c the people are nice but one time they got my sandwich order wrong 3 times. Usually we place bets on who gets the f’d up sandwich/order. Its sad but true. As for their sandwiches, I never liked them that much, they are ok. IF you are in this area and want a bagel stop in here at the right time for fresh bagels, but if you know you will be near stirling, wait and get your bagels there.

Your not going to find much of a fresher and selection of bagels anywhere in the area. They make the bagels on premises and what a selection. All sort of different flavored bagel like raspberry, french toast etc. Along with it are various flavored cream cheeses as well. They have a hot grill and an extenstive list of breakfast and lunch sandwiches. There is plenty of tables to sit inside and parking in the lot is ample. You can’t ask for much more.
