Located in the one traffic light town of North Branch, this tiny café is a staple for the local farming community. A simple establishment that lacks frills but more than makes up for it with hospitality and portions to fill the largest farmer’s appetite. I came in for a late breakfast with my parent’s and enjoyed a wonderful western omelette with a side of home style wheat bread. Green peppers, onions, cheese and enough ham that I was concerned about the local swine population. Not fancy, just good. To Recap: The Good: the people, not just the staff but the patrons as well, it feels like one big family. The food, large portions, down-home goodness and simple personified in the best possible way. The Bad: the café is tiny, three tables and some stools around bar. The place is not meant for large groups. The Band This Restaurant Most Resembles: Sam & Dave, some American soul for the heartland.
