North Branch Bar & Grill

Loved this place before the expansion. Beautiful job on that! I hope it draws in new customers as unfortunately the place we loved as a great motorcycle destination is gone. The prime rib used to be outstanding… the service used to be outstanding. No longer. We were there on Saturday, January 30, 2016 arriving about 5:30. Place was pretty packed but we did get seated right away. All the wait staff we were used to seeing were apparently gone (in all fairness maybe they weren’t working that night… but I don’t think so). The young waitress we had was very friendly and took our drink order within about 5 minutes of us being seated. It took almost 30 minutes to get our drinks and the explanation she gave us was that «THE (only one) bartender had to deal with a large carryout order». When the couple we were meeting arrived we ordered almost immediately. It took approximately another 30 — 40 minutes to get our food. I of course ordered the prime rib (as rare as I could get it the way I always have in the past). When the food was delivered, my prime rib was at least medium to medium well. The wonderful red skinned potatoes with the garlic butter were cold and very little evidence of the garlic butter that they used to «swim» in. Very disappointing. I am not one to complain, especially to the waitress when the poor performance on the food is no fault of hers. I hope that this is just an example of growing pains and not indicative of the way it will always be. We may come back at a later date when the weather changes and we’re on the bikes to see if things have gone back to «normal». But I don’t know… what was a quaint bar and grill that treated you like family when you walked in has become a «mini-​Fridays». Like I said, I hope they’re making money… it just may not be coming from us from now on…

Great prime rib dinners on the weekend– 16 oz and cheap– plus two sides! We order to go because they are often very busy inside

This is my favorite place to go for lunch when I’m in my hometown. They have a little bit everything. I have had great burgers here. I always come back to the «B&G». The service is always attentive and the food is always served hot. My favorite for bar food.
