Sushi is good but the customer service is terrible. I placed an order for pickup and had to cancel. I called to let them know and they hung up on me.

This is probably the worst place ever. I went with a group of my friends. The sushi was freeeeezing and so hard to chew!!! It smelled so bad. Everything was horrible. The staff where so unprofessional. The teriyaki chicken was just chicken strips with bad soy sauce. Worst experience

A group of friends and I come here on regular basis, and we are delighted by the freshness of the sushi/sashimi. We recommend the Love Boat for Three. It’s a good opportunity to try sashimi selections you haven’t tried before, and you also get to pick out some rolls. Without fail we have been impressed by the quality of the sashimi. The old standbys, tuna, salmon, white tuna, and yellowtail, are melt-in-your-mouth good. The white tuna is like butter in the best possible way. The salmon’s flavor and texture is either injected with crack cocaine or is the freshest salmon you can get, barring catching a spawning salmon with your mouth. Speaking as one of the less adventurous of our group, I can also say the other less-well-known sashimi selections are super tasty. Can’t go wrong with most of the rolls, though we tend to avoid stuff with wasabi… American Dream is a keeper and is great for those unaccustomed to eating sushi. It’s sweet and unintimidating. We have also consistently enjoyed the Sea Breeze, which has a nice citrus-y flavor(Sunshine roll is similar but a little sweeter with the mango), and, really, we have enjoyed every roll we’ve gotten(though we personally aren’t all that into the soy paper or cucumber wraps.) Tiger roll’s also excellent. I love Red Devil. The special Fire Crunch roll is also great– it’s got this interesting smokey flavor to it. We’d also recommend the Fusion part of the menu. Ninja Pizza is great. Can’t go wrong with anything Carpaccio.

This was my first time at Ninja Sushi, and although I can’t speak to waitstaff/service as I ordered take out, the gentleman that took my order was very friendly and knowledgable! He assured me that they could make my rolls without crunch(I look at crunch as filler, totally unnecessary). Let’s cut to the chase– this sushi was damn good. Super fresh, tons of variety, interesting combinations, and delicious sauces. Their rolls are a great value, in my opinion. They are PACKED with fish, almost in excess! I also got a clear soup(very flavorful) and some FREE edamame just for entering in my email. Everything was delicious! My favorite roll of the night: The Butterfly roll. Jalepeno, yellowtail, spicy white tuna, and the sweetness of mango and a yuzu miso sauce to balance it out. Save me a seat, Ninja… I’ll be back!

Ninja Sushi has an extensive menu with a nice amount of different sushi rolls to choose from. The ambiance and interior is pretty nice too for his small footprint and location, as it is randomly located in a residential area. Some of my favorite rolls that I have had here were the ones that contained salmon and tuna. A few of these include the Mango Mingo(spicy white tuna with tempura, avocado, and cucumber inside, topped with mango and mango-type sauce), Volcano(a slightly seared roll with tuna, salmon, and kani with special sauce) and Million Dollar(lobster tempura inside topped with tuna, salmon, yellowtail, avocado, caviar, and scallions). Overall, I will say that even though they are my favorite rolls, the taste does not blow me out of the water. I have also had the sashimi platter by itself, and the fish by itself just tastes okay. They give you a good amount and sometimes generous slices, but it was not overly impressed by the taste. I would not mind coming back here for another try, maybe I just unlucky and did not have the best fish they could offer that night.

My go-to spot for sushi delivery. They’re fast & the food is better than average. I’ve tried a couple things that were on the menu. The spicy seaweed is one of my favorite appetizers at any japanese sushi restaurant. This place made is really delicious with the crunch and a lot of kani mixed into it. They don’t over do it with the spicy mayo, which i can appreciate. The dinosaur egg was also very tasty. It’s a ginormous ball of avocado with raw sashimi. Pretty heavy so I wouldn’t eat this on the regular. We also tried a couple of their recommended special rolls. We tried the spiciest roll there(forgot what it was called) but if you can’t handle spicy food very well, don’t even bother trying it. I love spicy food but my bf and I thought we were eating legit FIRE. We had to take all the jalepeno peppers off and it was still pretty hot. I would most recommend the sushi pizza and the fried tempura ice cream. They make it so good here!

Always loved this but about a month ago I ordered the lunch sushi special to go. I was sitting watching a movie and ate a piece of what I thought was tuna/scallion. It was actually tuna/jalapeño. The roll was packed with tons of raw jalapeño. My eyes and nose was running and my mouth burned for hours. I called to let them know of the mistake and there was a huge pause and they said«We’ll make it again» and hung up. Oooookay. I drive back there and when I walked in the hostess refused to look at or speak to me. She just looked to the right of me. She then turned around, picked up a small bag and handed it to me, still not looking at me. She never said a word. Come home and write the owner to let them know of my experience. No response. I haven’t been back since then and do not plan to ever go again. I just wanted to give people the heads up that this place is great… unless you experience a problem and then they act as if you’re the rude one for actually letting them know.

Wow. What a joke his place is. Honestly don’t know how they stay in business. They don’t even deserve the one star. Hostess was rude as hell. Was here for Sunday brunch that starts at 1pm. At 1:15pm they were still setting up the restaurant. They made us feel like they were doing us a favor by allowing us to dine at their restaurant. Heat was turned up way too high on top of that. I dine out a lot and don’t post a lot of reviews unless it’s exceptionally good or exceptionally bad. I made a point to review this place. If you want a crappy experience, rude service and overall general shitty attitude, hit this place up. We didn’t even wait for our drinks and bailed on this place. Don’t need the BS. I wouldn’t recommend this place even if I hated you.

This place did not offer anything special. I tried their Dinosaur egg based off of a picture posted on here because it looked intriguing but it could be executed way better. It was not what I expected to be. The description mentions crunchy but it was super soggy and not a lot of lobster meat at all. I found myself eating mostly soggy tempura flakes, avocado, with the chef special sauce. It’s light on the spiciness which is very good. I also ordered a kani salad and a spicy seaweed salad. That spicy seaweed salad was high on the spice, couldn’t even finish it. I am not into spicy food but I normally can and a spicy seaweed salad. The kani salad was delicious. The cucumber to crab meat ratio was off as 1:3(cucumber crab) but it was creamy and crunchy. Have to mention the fact that this location is by houses was a little weird. Looks like the building might have been an old local bar. Inside is super nice though, well lit and nice and clean looking. Not sure if I would return yet but should, need to try their sushi.

Wait here is expected but when you make reservation your table should be ready on time. Feels like they sat everyone else and forgot to accomodate our reservation for 4 people. The teryaki chicken below par and came out luke warm, what happened? It used to be delicious. The rolls were good. The sushimi wasnt bad, although the salmon cut looked butchered, not what you expect from Sushi chefs. The service was unorganized, not just our table but i saw a 6 person party walk out after no-one attended them for 15 min. There was a young guy running the front of the house, taking orders, handling reservations, bringing out orders, asking how our food was. I didnt see him. Maybe if he is back, the restaurant can turn around. If not, this place is in trouble.

Went for lunch the other day. Food was good, fast service. One thing I didn’t like was the portion. I honestly feel it wasn’t big enough for almost 11 dollars.

Updated review 3÷14÷16: I decided to order one more time, and this time I phoned the restaurant right after placing my order to remind them to include my free roll. The man that answered(I think it was the owner) was VERY accommodating & told me they are working on the issue because they do not see those promotional notes come through on their end. Now THAT is good customer service. I received my order and got my free roll. Everything was delicious. I will continue ordering from here. Old review: We’ve been ordering Delivery from here and I must say we LOVE the sushi. The service? Not so much. It’s like impossible to apply the promotions for delivery orders through there online ordering process. Why even bother having them then? Also, after setting up an account, I was putting through(another) $ 60+ delivery order, and I was prompted at checkout to choose either a free spicy tuna roll or a free Cali roll, because I was spending so much. So I thought, cool! We have been spending so much money there that this would be a nice perk. I selected the option for a free tuna roll, and it put in a note in the notes before I submitted my order. Mind you, this is on THEIR site. So we get the order and find that our free roll was missing. Right away I called the restaurant and this woman did not care at ALL about the roll not being there and tried to tell me they don’t read the notes? Ok then why do you even offer a promotion that entices people to spend more of you won’t honor it??? That’s so dishonest to me and just bad business. What made it worse is that she really didn’t care at all — that turned me off the most. If she had said sorry, etc maybe it would have been better. So for the bad customer service/not fulfilling your promises/not reading the options you put on YOUR website for your customers, I am leaving this review.

The lunch specials are a STEAL at less than $ 10 for a 3 roll lunch special. I haven’t found any other place this cheap that also comes with both a soup and salad. The dressing that comes with the salad is really really good. You can taste the ginger and it’s kind of on the chunky side, which I enjoyed. I got the spicy tuna, spicy yellowtail, and shrimp tempura rolls. All were great, but I especially liked the spicy yellowtail because it had scallions in it. They add crunchy bits to the spicy rolls, which I personally love. I also got a seaweed salad which was a good portion and also very cheap. Overall, delicious and inexpensive sushi. Even though this place was a little hard to find, I am definitely going back!!!

Never in my life have I been called a racist after disputing a delivery order with the owner of a restaurant(who was at fault), let alone a fellow Asian lol. Here’s the low down of why I will never be ordering from Ninja Sushi again. disappointing since they do have good quality food. I guess that’s what the one star I’m forced to give will be for. First off, my fiancé and I have ordered from here several times. A few years back, there was an incident where the driver was almost 2 hours late with our food. I put in a complaint and wrote a review on Grubhub at the time, and back then the owner made right by the situation and called us to give us a discount on our next order. That being said, we continued to order from them without incident until tonight. We placed an order with an expected delivery time between 7:30pm-7:40pm. The driver called us saying he was close by at 8pm, but when we tried to give him instructions to make his life easier(we live in a downtown area and given the snowy weather, we understand that it’s not ideal out there), we realized he didn’t understand English very well. Our instructions were for him to pull up to our lobby and drop off the delivery with our doorman so he didn’t have to find parking or wait. He hung up on us. We let a few minutes pass and called our doorman who had yet to receive anything. We called the driver again, but he couldn’t communicate where he was. So another few minutes pass by, I call a third time and he hangs up on me. You can understand my frustration at this point, but it only gets worse from here. I call the restaurant to figure out what’s going on. The owner begins to apologize, but tells me his driver didn’t hang up on me. How would he know that information, given he had to ask me for my address shortly after to know what’s going on. Following his apology he gives several excuses that they are foreigners and«I» should understand given my last name is Asian. I tell him that I understand that, but it’s not good customer service to be sending someone who doesn’t speak English to deliver food and that it’s already, at this point, almost an hour overdue. I told him I understand the weather is bad, and we were only trying to make things easier on the driver, but at this point it is ridiculous to argue. I asked for a refund and said by the time the food gets here it’ll be cold. He sneered back«you ordered sushi» — when in fact I also ordered soup. It was preposterous, as if I was speaking to someone that needed to blame their mistakes on me. He would apologize but then pretty much say something to follow it up that negated it! THEN he brings up how«you did this to me before» — referring to the first time I’ve left a complaint. And I said, yes and you made right by the situation, hence the reason we still order from you –granted this was a couple years ago and I couldn’t believe he remembered! He started saying«I gave you free food then» as if he did us a favor for correcting his own establishment’s mistake. I repeatedly said it was bad customer service and that he was wasting my time arguing with me about this, that I was disappointed because I enjoyed their food, but that I wouldn’t be ordering from them again. He said I was wasting his time, but that he «couldn’t hang up» because then I would write about it. obviously he cared about what I would say(maybe then he shouldn’t of called me a racist –I’ll get to that later). He made it a point to say«I am apologizing, and we will never deliver to your address again.» I told him that would be his loss since we live in a high rise building with over 120 units. He kept saying they are foreigners and that I should understand, that he’s personally delivered to us before and that I should know who he is. Like I should take that as him going out of his way for him to run his own business? He never introduced himself as the owner, nor went out of his way other than the one time he made right by his driver’s mistake! Anyway… I told him I was going to write a review and apparently all he could say at this point was«you’re a racist! you’re a racist!» — I couldn’t believe the owner was calling me a racist because I made a valid point that he shouldn’t be sending people that can’t speak English out for deliveries! Trust me, I’ve ordered from here before and they’ve had English-speaking drivers. It was ridiculous. after he tried to get me to relate to him, and then proceed to call me a racist? What a terrible way to treat your customer. Oh yea, he said he couldn’t believe that there were bad customers out there like me. I’m sorry but had i done anything wrong? People are entitled to write reviews to provide feedback to other diners and for the betterment of businesses! Well. obviously we weren’t dealing with someone that was receptive to their clientele and are now left hungry… we will never be ordering from here again that’s for sure. Definitely not what I expected tonight!

First time here and won’t be coming back anytime soon. The only reason I give the place 2 stars is because the fish was pretty fresh. Otherwise, this would’ve been a 1 star review. There is a 1 free appetizer w/over $ 30 purchase promotion in Unilocal app. So I asked the server what are the appetizer options. Her face changed and brushed me off by responding you have to use the app. I was thinking if you don’t want to give free food then don’t offer the promotion. The bill came, we were charged for $ 1.50/cup green tea. The very common and diluted green tea that most Japanese restaurant offers for free of charge. It wasn’t a tea bag or tea pot served, not sure if that’s reasonable. Wonder if they charge for iced(tab) water? The overall dining experience was ok, fish was good quality, service can definitely improve somewhat.

I ordered the Salmon Supreme($ 22.95). This came with a salad and soup. All of the items were very fresh. The 2 pieces of salmon sushi was a little plain. The 3 pieces of salmon sashimi was very good and the rice was not too hard or soft. Both of the rolls were solid especially the Philly Roll. There was not an overwhelming taste of cream cheese, which I was afraid of. It had a great balance of salmon, cream cheese, and cucumber. I also tasted the Ahi Tuna, which was an appetizer. The tuna was cooked a little too much I thought, but still solid. The teriyaki sauce that was on the side was a nice complement, but I preferred soy sauce with wasabi.

I saw the good reviews on this place, so decided to order takeout. I ordered the dinosaur egg because that looked different, the spicy seaweed salad and the One Night stand roll. It was a lot of food, and I couldn’t finish it all in one night. When you purchase over $ 25 of food, you get a free tuna roll, so I had that too. I would recommend not«saving» sushi as leftovers for the next day. The food becomes weird and definitely less fresh(obv). But when I did initially eat it, I thought the dinosaur egg was tasty. It was sweet in the sauce that came at the bottom of it. Fusion style?(Guess that’s the first time I had it.) There was little chunks of lobster mixed in with spicy brown rice-noodly things. I thought my roll was very delectable but had too much spicy sauce on top for my taste. The spicy seaweed salad I downed. The tuna roll was dry and not very good. I think I could have a better experience if I try some different things. I do recommend trying to dinosaur egg though!

Closes at 3, so if you happen to come in at 2:30, be prepared to be rushed through your meal. To start, we went with the pizza appetizer. This had tomatoes, onions, avocados, tuna, and salmon, on a crispy pancake, drizzled with some kind of sweet sauce. The sauce on the pizza was a little too sweet for my taste. And there was a lot on there. You almost couldn’t even taste the fish. Then again, there wasn’t even that much fish on there to begin with. I would not recommend ordering this. For my entrée, I ordered the sushi deluxe, which comes with 9 pieces chef of sushi, and a tuna roll. Some of the fish tasted the same as each other so I couldn’t really tell them apart. But other than that, it was pretty good overall. It tasted fresh enough. I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to come back here. I’m sure I could find a better sushi place in the area.

The pros will out weigh the cons at this off the beaten path sushi joint. Let me start by stating this is a 3.5 star place based on the quality of the raw fish. If it weren’t for those thick chunks of raw goodness cut perfectly and obviously fresh they may slide down a notch. I destroy Sashimi almost exclusively adding additional ala carte items such as my favorite Uni. Well guess what? They don’t offer sea urchin, boo. The miso soup lacks flavor. The menu is kinda basic without the overly unusual. There are several lunch options including soup and salad. Decent variety. Priced fair, $ 13 for 3 rolls. Bento box’s with both sushi and sashimi or combined. The green tea is nice, but a bit too light. The portions seem a bit more controlled than what I’ve become accustomed too from standard competition. I few unique items missing combined with the small dining room with less than 20 chairs. They take a few hits for size & limited menu. At the end of the day you come here for raw fish and that box is checked. I enjoyed the few meals we shared here. Clean. BYOB bonus! Yes, we’ll be back.
