My sister and I dined here on Nov 2nd2015 for her birthday. It was fantastic! The service was excellent, the food was divine. We had the bacon candy(yum), chicken marsala with gnocchi(best ever), walleye, risotto and mushrooms. It was worth every cent! We will be back!

This place is located in a strip mall. When your GPS announces that you have arrived turn into the shopping center by Giant Eagle and then drive the length of the strip to find 91 around the end corner. This location makes the patio quieter, as while it is adjacent to the parking lot the only cars coming back here are those for 91. You notice an attention to detail as soon as you go to open the doors, the handles of which are a big«91.» The 91 theme is continued inside with the numbers acting as curtain pull backs and being drizzled with sweet balsamic vinegar into the oil served with the bread. Service was fast, but we did arrive exactly at 5pm which is when 91 opens on a Saturday. By the time we left the place was full(with homecoming high schoolers mostly), but our waiter remained cheerful and attentive throughout. Once our waiter discovered it was our first time at 91 he offered us lots of information on the dishes, describing their presentation and telling us his favorites. He was very personable and welcoming. The menu isn’t massive, but there is quite a diverse selection of specialties from pizza to pastas and seafood options. By the menu it is sort of hard to get a feel for what the place’s true identity is, but that didn’t influence the food in any negative way. I ordered the Cedar Plank Salmon and my guest had a burger. We split a side of Brussel sprouts. The salmon was sweet, but not overwhelmingly. It was coated lightly in a brown sugar rub and tossed with toasted almonds and served with a side of pesto rice pilaf. The burger, Greg’s Bar Burger, came cooked to the requested temperature and was served on a grilled pretzel bun. The Brussel sprouts were delicious and appeared to be served with some nuts and Craisins as well. You can make a Unilocal reservation for this restaurant! I recommend you do.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary there and we were pleasantly surprised. I made reservations online and arrived a few minutes early. The entire staff was wonderful. We were greeted warmly and quickly by the hostess staff and our waiter. The food was amazing!!! I almost want to keep this place to myself. We will absolutely be returning.

We had a great time with excellent service. Our waitress was very attentive and explained the specials very well. The only diappointment was their menu has changed and the Edamame is no longer offered! Our family loves this appetizer! The rest of the food was excellent and we had a great experience.

Really good. Awesome menu. I need to find a reason to travel back here at least ten more times so I can try more items in the menu.

We ate at the north canton location. Our waitress was either new or lazy. Our drinks were empty for a while, when we finally got the drinks they were wrong and the last drink I requested she forgot about until we were leaving. She asked if I wanted to hurry up and drink it. Ummm no. I don’t. The food was really good. And the dessert was excellent. This might be petty. The pâtissière was drinking from a McDonald’s cup and one of the cooks was doing the same. Just made it feel cheap. Upon leaving usually the hostess or other workers would say bye. Two hostess and waiter not doing anything or conversing just stared us down and said nothing. We usually eat at the Jackson location and have had a pleasant experience.

Love the food, but tired of the cramped, boisterous atmosphere and inconsistent service I love 91’s food, I always have. I’ve been dragging my husband here for years. He’s never really cared for the food(he’s more of a bland, meat and potatoes guy), but he goes because he knows I love it. What I don’t love is how cramped and loud the dining area is; not to mention the inconsistent service. My husband and I managed to get a babysitter for Saturday, to enjoy a night out. We made a reservation at 91, and once arrived we were sat at a tiny table; with a group of 6 seated a foot away on one side and a group of 4 on the other. Seeing a couple, I’m not sure why they wouldn’t have sat us at a quieter booth. Instead we sat yelling at each other the whole time, trying to hear each other over conversations between the groups on either side of us. In addition, I didn’t really understand our waitress. While I could see the restaurant was busy, she didn’t seem to have a problem checking on the tables on either side of us. Sticking her rear-end in my face, as she bent to refill their drinks numerous times, while our glasses sat empty. I think we may have sat about 15 minutes after we finished our food waiting for her to return. She finally returned with our check and boxes for us to box our own food. All in all the evening wasn’t terrible, until we returned home and my husband noticed he had grease all over the back of his pants. He said he thought he saw something on the chair when the hostess sat us, but he didn’t want make a big deal and sat anyways. Unacceptable! How do you not whip down a seat?! Shame on you 91 :( So at this point my husband will get his wish, after years of going with me, despite his preference. I now unfortunately have to agree with him. We will not be back.

91 is a staple of great food and great atmosphere. I have tried most things on the menu and haven’t had a bad meal yet. One of the best apps are the blue cheese and balsamic chips — a must try. I am more of a fan of their dishes than their pizzas. The risotto is to die for especially when blackened scallops are added. The wine and drink menu good, a great variety of martinis, wine list is average in size. The only negative thing I have come across is the servers. If perhaps you do not order alcoholic drinks the server doesn’t pay as close attention to you, and my experience last night there were moment when our male server was just rude. This however will not stop me from returning, I just wish the server wouldn’t judge us if we do not order drinks or dessert. The atmosphere is great and different from the Canton 91. It is more hip, with a patio, and open kitchen where you can actually see the burning wood oven.

The Best BBQ Chicken pizza that I’ve found! And the bread plate with balsamic glaze and olive oil, I can’t get enough of. The cherry goat cheese medallion salad is delicious, too. We normally split a full size salad and a pizza and there is plenty.

A great place for a special night out with a loved one or family. It is pricey but you get what you pay for. A very eclectic menu. I’ve been there at least two dozen times and have never left unsatisfied. Tip: Make reservations for New Year’s Eve!

91 North Canton is a very comfortable, local restaurant with an upscale feel while being approachable for anyone. You can have an elegant meal, including wine, coffee & desert or take part in the simple, lighter fare. In a county carpet bombed with chain restaurants, it really is a breath of fresh air.

Ahi Tuna appetizer was great but everything after that was downhill. Wine was a good pour and pretty cheap for $ 6 – 6.5 a glass but skip the pinot noir(kinda watery). Dining companion loved the goat cheese salad, but my salad special that night, the strawberry salad, sucked. While lots of spinach, there were quite a few rotting pieces. No argula was included as described. The couple of strawberry pieces included were not ripe and mushy. Not that hard to find ripe strawberries in this country regardless of the time of year(I buy them year round with no problem). The almond brittle was interesting choice of topping. So for it being the special that night and $ 8, it completely sucked. We split the drunken shrimp pasta entrée and it was pretty gross. Tasted like the cheapest bottle of vodka sauce at the grocery store. Lacked any flavor and creativity. Seriously, might be the only bad pasta I’ve ever experienced at a restaurant. If I’m ever back, we’ll stick to appetizers and a pizza. Service was fine. Super loud.

Unfortunately, the Seafood Cannelloni lacked seafood although the taste was quite good. Five tiny shrimp, two bits of lobster and a couple of tiny bay scallops. We mentioned it and were told they were surprised as there is usually plenty of seafood in the dish. They compensated by not charging for the molten chocolate cake dessert. The Greg’s Bar Burger was a mess to eat but quite good for a restaurant burger. The beef patty, they say, is hand formed. I believe it since it was not overly compacted so it was not a hockey puck like most restaurants serve. That’s what makes it a mess, but much better flavor and texture as a result. I prefer a mess to a hockey puck! The waiter(Nathan) was particularly nice. I would have given one more star had there been more seafood in the dish. Worth another visit for sure.

A classy alternative to Olive Garden. Nice place to take the wife for a date, or to celebrate a birthday.

Difficult decision — should it be a «2» or a «3?» Well, we won’t be going back — so I guess that makes it a «2!» We are always«in» for new places/experiences — and this is one we won’t repeat. On a recent Thursday evening the place was full — with a short wait. Not enough staff — we wanted a l-o-n-g time for service. Then when our server found us, he promptly got lost. It was one of those«we better order everything right now as who knows when we’ll see our waiter again!» sorta experiences. The olive oil on the table was thin, tasteless, and we wondered if it was mixed with corn oil. Not a hint of olive oil in the taste. Our dinners were the same. Some good tastes in there, but overall, definitely a «miss.» The place was really noisy and the tables were reasonably close together. I’d break it down: Service: 1.5−2 Food quality: 2 – 3 Ambiance: 3 Value: 2.5 For one who wants a mediocre(at best) experience, I’d recommend Applebee’s, Red Lobster, etc. But, we don’t eat at those places — so we were disappointed. We’ll let the«locals» have this joint!

Overrated. 91 uses quality ingredients, but it somehow does not translate to kaleidoscopic flavors. I was bummed to learn that almost all of their sauces contain chicken stock. Since when does a red marinara sauce need chicken stock??? As a vegetarian, I don’t eat the flesh, stocks, or reductions of animals. For years I had eaten their pizzas and their mushroom pastas not having any idea that they were not vegetarian friendly. It was only when I one time attempted to order the Thai pasta that I was told that most of their sauces are made with chicken(ordering a white pizza would circumvent this problem). That discovery, however, further restricted my already limited options on the menu. To be clear, this review is not prejudiced because 91 is not so vegetarian friendly. I thought it lacked flavor even when I was eating their chicken-stocked sauces completely unaware. To be sure, I was always confused about the popularity of this place. It’s not that good. It’s fresh. It has a nice cosmopolitan vibe(for North Canton). But the flavor isn’t great. They have a nice(albeit small) bar, however.

This is our favorite restaurant in North Canton. The food and service are great and the prices are not bad. For starters, we have tried the Blue Cheese & Balsamic Chips and the Bacon, Cheddar chips. We usually asked them to do the Potato Combo(half and half) as I like the Blue Cheese/balsamic and my husband likes the Bacon/Cheddar. They are fantastic. We also used to have the wasabi green beans(delicious!!!) but they do not have them anymore. For New Year’s eve we had their seafood bisque which was very good. It was on a special menu so they do not have it regularly. Their balsamic reduction that they serve with olive oil for the bread is very good as well. For entrees, you cannot miss the seafood cannelloni… absolutely delicious. The smoked gouda risotto & blackened scallops is great. The scallops are cooked perfectly. The spicy(not spicy at all) alaskan coho salmon & ravioli served with pesto sauce & artichokes is very good. My husband tried the other night the Wild Mushroom Strip(mushrooms sauteed in garlic butter, blue cheese & balsamic reduction on top of the steak with vegetables an potatoes) and it was excellent. They also have a children’s menu. Our son’s favorite is the wood fire(of course) cheese pizza. Simple and delicious.
