Bob Evans Restaurants

We have ordered To Go from Bob Evans several times and this was the first dinner order from this location. The wildfire chicken had sauce on it and tasted like day old fried tires. The chicken was served on the side and not cut up on top of the salad as usual so we had to do it ourselves. We will not be ordering from here again.

Food was good, service was poor. Our server, Sarah, took almost 10 minutes to even acknowledge us and say she would be with us in a minute. She was not friendly nor efficient. We had to grab another server, Jason, to get us refills and our check. Jason, kudos to you for your great attitude taking over a table that was not yours. You saved the visit for us.

Unfortunately for us the service was horrendous. We waited well over an hour for our food. Arrived at the door at 10:30 am and got out of there at 12:30. I’m not kidding. The worst part was no one seemed to care that we had to wait that long for our food. My suggestion is to «move on» unless you have tons of time to kill.

Terrible service. This place has gone down hill since their remodeling. Some Wizard that apparently doesn’t know anything about Customer Service designed the new system for taking care of their most important commodity. (People). I doubt the food has gotten better either. This is not my first choice anymore. If you want decent service, keep looking.

Great food and people! Never dissatisfied when I come here with family and friends. They always make me feel at home.

We got here at 5 PM on a Friday night and it was not too busy yet. We were seated promptly but then sat at the table for five full minutes with no one coming to take a drink order. We caught one of the other servers and told her that we’d been sitting there and she went and got somebody that took our order. I ordered the broasted chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans. My husband ordered the smokehouse burger with a side of macaroni and cheese and coleslaw. My husband said that the smokehouse burger was average a little overdone but okay. My broasted chicken had a good flavor and was very juicy and tender but the outside was a little over cooked and was kind of hard and burned flavored. We noticed there were many new people working there which could have contributed to the slow service and the food not being as good as in the past.

Ordered the new broasted chicken
. skin dry and tuff does not look anything like the picture. The dark is 2dried up legs and a small thigh. The potato’s fast like instant. Would never order this again. Service was just as bad as the food.

Good for a quick bite to eat the food is good and the prices are good $ I payed 8.51 for a egg breakfast with oatmeal and a coffee. Their staff is nice but there always in a rush. The place is also nice and clean.

The service is extremely reliable; if only it was reliably good.
The food isn’t bad, though, but not necessarily worth the wait and having to nag the servers for their time.

Our household is still doing a low-​carb diet and my wife opted to order the half-​sandwich and a salad special, but just not eat the bread. The picture in the menu was beautiful! Thick layers of turkey and a slice of bacon… Looked like plenty of food for a light lunch, even without the bread.
Well, when it arrived… it looked NOTHING like the picture. There was the equivalent of one-​half-​slice of turkey lunch meat and a small slice of bacon topped with some lettuce and small slice of tomato. For $ 7.99 it was just ridiculous.
On the bright side, we returned it and asked them to take it off the bill and just bill us for the salad, which they did. My wife talked to the manager afterwards and she acknowledged that while the portions are weighed out precisely they do not look anything like the pictures in the menu. The manager was also gracious enough to comp the bill, which we really appreciated.
She also said that a better bet for our low-​carb needs would have been to order the turkey dinner and get extra turkey instead of the sides and/​or sub a vegetable. It would have been nice if the waitress had made that suggestion when we ordered, or at least brought us a menu to review other options. My congratulations to the manager for taking care of the situation as best she could.
Bob Evan’s needs to stop putting deceptive photos in their menus. What was represented there in no way resembled what we received. Wait staff also need to be better trained in this era of gluten allergies (which we thankfully don’t have) and special diets.

Good service. The waitress was very tired– she mentioned «I’m trying to keep myself awake». I believe it was the manager that came to say hello to my son before and after he was eating. He’s 14 months old. So that was nice of her. The fruit tray had thawed out strawberries. Which, I was a little disappointed but all was well. Just skipped over the berries and ate the rest.
I would go again.

Awful. Beware service. Worst service I have had in Canton. Y: MMV. I would go down the streeet to Samanthas. Its the dsame price and better service and food.

The food is ALWAYS good and always looks like what you see in the menu.

Great food, great service. Everyone seemed as they worked great as a team. I miss this restaurant in chicago.

Our family has dined at this location at least a dozen times in the last two years, different days, different hours and never had a bad meal. The food (or décor) is not flashy but well cooked, tasty, served hot and quickly and the staff has always been top notch. In all the years I have eaten at Bob Evans in several states I have only once had a less than satisfactory meal. I have bought and sold their stock several times because they are, except for their venture into Mexican food a couple years back, very successful.

Bob’s is Bob’s you can trust it especially when traveling

Bob Evans, I’ve worked there and still eat from the restaurant! The North Canton location, back in the 90’s was billed as the busiest Bob Evans in Ohio. They got this reputation by delivering consistent service, great food, and having good people working for them. The masses in the Belden Village area can’t do much better for the price than a meal at this Bob Evans.
Remember however, Tips at Bob Evans that are left on the credit card don’t go to your server directly, only when they get their paycheck. So, leave the cash, and they’ll be happier :).

I grew up on Bob Evans. I cannot think of a more charming breakfast place. This place gets so busy on Saturday and Sunday and at last count I counted 20+ servers. It runs like a well-​oiled machine! I like to go on a Sunday morning and sit at the counter with a magazine or the paper. There is one server there named Laura who is THE BEST server. She is so nice and gives the best service. She knows everyone who sits down at the counter, too. I’ve always been a big fan of Bob Evans biscuits and pancakes. The biscuits have a golden/​slightly salty top on them that tastes great with honey, the pancakes are fluffy. Good stuff. A good ‘ol down-​home breakfast on a Sunday or any day of the week!
