Very poor service. Order is often incorrect even though the receipt is correct. This generally occurs after 6p.

Decent food, bad service. Employees act like your bothering them by being their and ordering.

My husband went here on his lunch break Friday 8−21−15 and will never return. Besides it talking 20min for someone to take his order it then took another 10−15min for the food to come out (2 hotdogs & a cherry slushe). When the car hop brought the food my husband gave him his debit card. After another several minutes the car hop came out saying the cc machine wasn’t working and wanted to know if he had cash on him. My husband said he did not so the car hop got an attitude saying he’ll try swiping the card again. My husband then said never mind take the food back I’ve got to go back to work. The car hop took the food and when walking away from my husband vehicle proceeded to say f**k you. When my husband asked him what did you just say but carhop replied with f**k this. When my husband asked to speak to his manager the car hop skated away and said f**k you. My husband then pulled his vehicle to the front got out spoke to the manager. While speaking with manager the car hop sat down and proceeded to take his skates off becoming very confrontational with my husband. The manager’s response was I will take care of my employees and proceeded to do nothing. The following morning the «owner» called my husband trying to sort out what happened and that too was a joke. Needless to say the service there from the carhops up to management is a joke. The fact that a carhop was swearing and trying to fight a customer is beyond unprofessional. So like mentioned in a previous review DO NOT come here if you want to feel welcomed!

Very pleased with my experience at this sonic. We came here on cravings for shakes since we already had bad experiences at Cookout. Very friendly staff. Good food compared to cookout and sonics in utah. Now its my wife’s go-​to shake stop.

Wow, they don’t want customers here. Don’t come if you want to feel welcomed. The staff is very rude. In fact one lady would not take my order! She exlamed” I can’t hear you, so I can’t take your order”. I said «so you don’t want my money?». And there was no reply. I moved my car to the drive thru and the lady there wasn’t ruse but wasn’t nice either. My food was very old and bitter tasting. Not to mention I wanted nearly 15 minutes. Yeah, just don’t come here.

This Sonics is a hit or miss. They participate in all the national deals like .99 cent large drinks before 10am and happy hour from 2 – 4. Drinks and desserts are good but food is usual subpar. Also service is very slow, especially in the drive-​thru so you might as well park. It could be a while. For more consistency and faster service, try the Sonics a few minutes away in Goose Creek.

I didn’t tip the car hop in the drive through line and was treated like crap every time I came back once they had me wait 40 min and gave the people ahead of me food first i orderd one cheese coney

½ price shakes after 8pm!
Had the ice cream float with diet coke, didn’t taste good after I got into the ice cream
that was actually in the soda. maybe should have picked root beer? or maybe it’s the
hit and miss soda quality of sodas from machines.
will try a milk-​shake next time or a sundae

Craved a milkshake late (10:30pm) one night, and Sonic was a short drive away.
Lord have mercy, but they have a plethora of shakes, floats, and similar things making decisions complicated, but in a good way!
I got a peanutbutter milkshake and it was excellent! Quite a change from a simple chocolate or vanilla shake. And there were even more exotic shakes to be had.
I’ve also eaten here. The burgers are good, but can be lukewarm when you get them. I’ve had a footlong hotdog too, which was tasty. All in all, decent, but not the greatest I’ve had.
The shakes will bring me back, the food only when it’s the closest and I’m starving.
Service can be slow.

Great service here, I’ve been going for the past five years and they’ve never messed up an order or let me down. Good good quick, and close proximity to nearby businesses and a university mean its a good place to find food between class and late at night.

Exactly what I demand from Sonic. Awesome desserts delivered on wheels.

I have been here on more than one occasion and every time the experience is less than desirable… they almost always put too much ice in their drinks (about ¾ ice, ¼ tasty drink).

Sonic is sonic is sonic.
Why review a Sonic. The food is better now that they are pushing the freshness window and of course fun fun drinks as long as you have them in moderation.
The roller skating waiter was fun, energetic, engaged and totally awesome. He just made the two minutes of waiting fun and I felt it was worth a shout out.
Kudos to the hiring at the North Charleston Sonic.
