We ate here recently for breakfast and the service was ok, waitress was friendly and they have those new table side devices to order food, play games and pay your bill. The down fall is they charge for the table side app games which is absolutely ridiculous. Also, the food was horrible. It was cold, bland and not appealing at all. We couldn’t even finish the food it was just gross. We only ate here because all the other fine breakfast joints in town were packed due to school vacation week. I do not recommend eating here.

I’ve been coming to this friendly’s since I was a little girl and man has it changed… The service is impeccably slow … We sat 20 minutes without getting a drink… Friendlys is always good for the comfort food and delicious ice cream, but man do they need to teach the staff how to wait on people in an efficient and timely manner and to be friendly.

We always stop at the North Conway Friendly’s. Never again, we got there at lunch time. They were not busy, so we decided to order lunch rather then breakfast this time. I went for the turkey dinner. Husband wanted meatloaf. Oh, by the way only 1 serving of mashed potato left. Husband changes to a burger. So the potatoes were deffiantly the end of the pot. Corn had an old taste, waitress will tell them it is not cook, Wait I did not say that. It almost was a musty taste. Oh, don’t order clam chowder, no clams. All the waitress kept saying was can not wait for tomorrows truck. Well what about the dinner crowd??? I guess there is no need to worry, I’m not going, every again

Even though they seemed to have a big menu, nothing on it appealed to me. The staff seemed pleasant though. I ended up having the grilled cheese & tomato soup, it was nothing to rave about in my opinion.

I’m not usually one to rave about a chain restaurant, but this Friendly’s food could have come from any locally owned place. The portions were alot bigger then your typical chain and the quality was excellent. I called in a take out order and it only took around 15 minutes. The location is great and they also have a separate counter up front to grab your take-out or get ice cream so that’s convenient. The prices were very reasonable which I like also. My boyfriend got the clam boat, it was loaded with delicious fried clams and lots of fries. I got the buffalo finger basket that was also very good and had just the right amount of spice. The menu has great options no matter what your in the mood for. I didn’t expect to enjoy a Friendly’s as much as I did.

Simple little diner. Clean and efficient. Service was cordial and timely. Not my cup of tea but the kids love it. They all eat the chicken tenders with a side, drink and ice cream. I’m happy when they’re happy! Will return because I can always find a simple sandwich that works. They treat the kids well and I really appreciate that.

Last time I went to this friendly’s, I was disappointed. I will say we were seated promptly, and our waitress was very kind. I was very excited about that because in the past we’ve had terrible waitresses, and also there were only maybe two waitresses for 6pm to 7pm, which is tricky(especially on a Friday!). Our waitress took our drinks right away and also put in our appetizer, waffle fries with cheese without bacon, and it was out within a respectable time. Unfortunately, our appetizer came loaded with bacon. We sent it back and our waitress apologized and had it remade and sent out soon after(we could tell it wasn’t the same plate or food with bacon just pulled off). Soon after receiving the correct order, our waitress took our dinner order. I ordered a meal with no bacon or barbecue, just a sandwich with chicken and cheese. Soon enough, our food was out and my meal had bacon and barbecue, so we sent it back and our waitress apologized again. Waiting extra time wasn’t a problem. Though, in maybe two minutes my meal was back and it was clear they had just pulled the bacon off of it, because apparently I sent it back to just have that done, as if I couldn’t pull bacon off myself. The waitress who brought it out was different and was very rude about the fact that we didn’t take what she gave us. She denied that the cook had just pulled the bacon off even though it was clear based on the plate and everything, which was upsetting. After an unpleasant argument with her, my correct order was out again but this time it was fresh and not just a rearranged plate with bacon pulled off. We ate and our waitress who had served us the majority of the time apologized again and took our check as soon as we had paid it. Another guest in our party of three ended up forgetting his wallet at the table: our waitress was very kind and ran out to us to give us his wallet! Overall, our normal waitress was very kind but one waitress was not and the cook supported it. It truly is disgusting when a business cannot even show mutual respect to the customers and also expect $ 15 a plate. On other occasions we have had the same experience with rude employees and horrible service overall. I would absolutely NOT recommend this friendly’s unless you order exactly what is on the menu, don’t complain, get the right waitress, and don’t usually care about the time it takes just to deliver food. Most times we try to avoid the restaurant because of these issues. Thank you so much to the few kind staff who really care about doing the best job they can!

We have been going to Friendly’s in North Conway for 9 years. The last time we were home the service was terrible. There were a lot of people but they did not seem to be getting anything done. People had to run down the waitresses to get their checks. We only saw two people that we have seen before. They traded in a highly professional staff for an incompetent staff.

I love friendlys but I will never return to this one again. It was so unorganized and there were so many employees yet tha time I entered and tha time I left there was 2 tables with food all over it and cups n dishes that still wasn’t cleaned off… There was no music playing either. And I order chicken fingers it came in like 2 seconds and it was hard and tasted old. Never again.

Friendly’s is one of the best places for breakfast in Maine and New Hampshire. But their big claim to fame is ice cream. Back when I was a kid they had a huge ice cream sundae called«The Kitchen Sink». It was one of those huge challenge things where if you ate it with in a time limit you got it for free or something. They stopped that some years ago but they still have a lot of ice cream!

I know this seems to sound odd, but out of all the restaurants to eat breakfast in this area. Friendly’s was the best. They allowed me to have egg whites,. even though it wasn’t on the menu. The waitress was pleasant and the service was quick.

The bar is set pretty low with Friendly’s so there isn’t really too much to say. Breakfast ends promptly at 11am so if you show up at 11:03 be prepared to order from the regular menu. The service was a little spotty at best, but ultimately the food was fine and exactly what you’d expect.

What can you say about breakfast at friendly’s. It’s kind of like finding and old place that you know what you are getting. Much better than eating a fast food breakfast. I’ll go again.
