Just had a great experience with these guys. Patient, helpful, kind, hard-working and efficient — They took an ancient Mac and converted it into a new, smooth, fast machine in one day! There was some data lost in the transfer(no fault of theirs), but they felt bad, so gave me a huge discount. I can’t recommend them highly enough — absolutely great experience.

This is the first review of this business and it gives me great pleasure due to the quality of service. Here’s some background information to digest. .. my daughter’s iPhone 6 had a cracked screen and I offered to repair it. No, I didn’t go into this project blind, but discovered a cracked touch screen as well. It did not make sense to put it together with two cracked screens. My daughter was very concerned because recent images of a Disney World trip were irreplaceable. Yes, the iPhone should have been backed up, but her iCloud account was full. I could have provided her with other options, but I did not. Called a local Apple certified repair center, 25 miles away. Brought the iPhone to the business, but the techs were out on a site visit. Ultimately, they refused to touch the iPhone and to simplify matter(or perhaps not), I bought a new item to the tune of $ 800.00, an iPhone 6s, 64GB. Live and learn is the adage! Encountered a «Catch 22» situation because my iMac would recognize the iPhone, but there’s a two way trust procedure. Since no image appeared on the iPhone screen, I was unable to complete the trust process and, therefore, I was denied access to all the data. My son-in-law mentioned a local business, The iGuys Tech Shop. Consequently, I made contact via the web site. One of the partners, Bill, made a phone call within a very reasonable time frame. Although the business was technically close, Bill was available and discussed the options with me. The shop has the capability of taking critical parts from damaged equipment and installing them in their working equipment. For example, my damaged iPhone could be connected to a working screen for testing. I brought the necessary damaged parts into the business today at 10AM and received a phone call about two hours later. Good news! Logic board was not damaged and data could be retrieved. Bill gave me viable options of a full repair of the iPhone for very short money. Because of my daughter’s psyche regarding the Disney images, I asked Bill to specifically transfer the images to a thumb drive and to repair the iPhone. Yes, this costs a bit more money, but NOT an outlandish fee by any sense of the imagination. Furthermore, this elective procedure provides peace of mind that the photos will be readily available and stored off of the iPhone. As I write, the iPhone is being repaired and reassembled. There is a strong likelihood that it will be ready before the end of the day. I cannot be more thrilled, because the iPhone will be sold on eBay and I’ll be able to mitigate some out-of-pocket expenses. Brian and Bill have found a particularly niche in the North Conway area, particularly considering the closest Apple store is in Portland, ME, more than an hour drive. Even the Lakes Region shop is 25 miles one way. I am a tough consumer and it is difficult to receive high accolades from me unless all aspects of the business are exceptional. I consider The iGuys Tech Shop exceptional! Why? 1. Someone responded to my web inquiry within a very short time. 2. A return phone call was answered even when the business was technically closed. 3. I was able to bring the iPhone into the business on the next business day. 4. I could deliver the iPhone is components rather than fully assembled. 5. I was apprised of the diagnosis within hours of delivery. 6. I was presented with numerous repair options. 7. Total repair time was minimal and complete. 8. Bill and Brian displayed honesty and genuine concern. I invite any other potential users to contact Bill or Brian at The iGuys Tech Shop and I can virtually guarantee no disappointment!
