Last weekend we stopped in at this Macy’s so that my wife could look for a dress for an upcoming baptism. When we entered the store we were disappointed by the selection as well as organization of the store. On top of the mess, the store was dirty and the escalator was broken. It seems like every Macy’s we have been to is hurting and this one is no different. The only redeeming factor about this location was the fact that the staff was polite and helped us find the departments we were looking for. In the end, we ended up walking out empty handed with the mutual understanding that we probably wouldn’t shop here in the future.

One thing about this place… the entrance concrete aprons are littered with old gum. Please, have some pride in your establishment and have someone scrape it up and pressure wash the aprons. Spiffy is always better.

I’m surprised this Macy’s has such a low review! I’m from California, and I’ve been looking for a dress I fell in love with today. I called my local Macy’s with no success. I called the one in Queens, New York and was treated with so much disrespect. I would have made a big deal about it but I called Sara at the Juniors department at this Macy’s in Dartmouth. This experience completely made up for it! Sara was so genuine and sweet. And she was prompt and polite. She informed me that she was going to look for it and got back to me, not leaving me on hold for 30 minutes like my local store did :(she found my size and even went back out to look for a larger size for me in case the one I requested didn’t fit. I truly appreciate her sincerity and helpfulness. She turned a very disappointing experience into a happy and successful one. And I feel that even if she didn’t find a dress for me, she still would have redeemed it because of how she treated me. Thank you so much Sara!!!

Horrible shopping experience. Being from out of state and up here for a special event I found I was treated with disrespect and flatly ignored by certain departments. It was so bad that I filed formal complaints with the makeup departments and with Macy’s. This experience was so bad, I didn’t event want to go to the event afterward. I will never shop here or at any other Macy’s again.

Everything I have ever had that was purchased at Macy’s has had buttons falling off of it in the first week. All done with that nonsense! Also, the prices are crazy expensive for stuff that falls apart. And what is with the fact that you can never find a register? ALSO, the last NINETYDOLLAR pleather jacket that I had gotten there(I didn’t buy it, my mother did) had stuff in the pocket which I thought were extra buttons. They weren’t, they were packaging for rings that someone had cut the back off the ring and stuck it in the pocket of a jacket so they could steal them. Ugh. P. s., stuff kept falling out of my jacket pockets. I hate the clothes here. I would on the other hand buy appliances here, which is why they get two stars.

Went there during friends and family sale to buy a Tag Heuer watch(not a cheap watch). Found out that my watch was not covered under this sale but it was still $ 400 dollar cheaper then from tag heuer site. Decide to buy anyways and put $ 2k plus on debit card but couldn’t put on Macy’s card because could only use one card. So that was cancelled but my bank hadn’t put it through so I had insufficent funds. ANyways after going through a bunch of bull they end up giving me the %25 percent off and end up saving close to 600 dollars. I would take the hour wait any day! They saw that they had messed up and made it right. I am glad that things got messed up because it saved me some serious dough. This store is great! Staff was very friendly and helpful
