Great place to go for a drink and some really fine food. The pork sliders are awesome and the beer is also cold to wash them down with. The bar staff is great and friendly and always in a good mood and that is what I like. Good place to chat with friends and the staff there. The Prime Rid is awesome and can’t wait for Friday nights when they have it. So stop in and have a drink and a bite to eat, you won’t go wrong here. And I must say some pretty faces behind the bar make the place what it is. Pool table and dart boards in the backroom. Good place to hold an event. Good Prices on the Drinks. See you there.

1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes! Im knitting a god damn quilt over here waiting for the two bartenders to get off the cooler, stop flirting and ask me if i want a drink!!! Not to mention there is a total of 10 people in here! Gesssssh

Honestly my review is more in the 2.5 — 3 range. When it first opened service was great. Friendly staff. Owner came up to us bought a round. Real nice gesture. Went a few weeks ago with a group after a local men’s softball game. They arrived before me and were sitting at the bar drinking and ordering food. As u sat down next to the group the bartender played «let’s pretend I don’t see you at the bar». This went on for 10 minutes. Felt like years! At one point the guy next to ordered food and a beer. Was I asked… Nope. Finally I said out loud. «what does a guy have to do to get a beer in this place». Finally she said sorry I didn’t see you there?!? Wtf Anyways maybe it was just this bartender but it was like pulling teeth to get drinks from her. What I noticed is if you are a friend or a regular you get A+ service. I mean one guy walked in 10 minutes after me and before sitting down has his first beer before I did! And then she goes and has a 10 minute conversation/​cig break.
tip: not everyone wants to listen to Irish music…

I love this place. It has a rustic feel to it with the fireplace and long wooden table in the middle of one room. There’s more than one tv above the bar. If you don’t want to look at the tv above the bar, you can turn around and watch the big tv on the wall of the other side of the room. Staff is very friendly. Bartender that night was talking to me and the other people at the table. I had no idea he was the bartender until he went behind the bar to get me a drink! There is another good sized room on the other side of the bar with a pool table and more seating options. There is a music machine where you can choose whatever song you want. The only reason I gave it four stars is because the potato skins that I ordered were cold. However, they were excellent.
So, I’ve been here a couple of other times since my first time and it’s awesome. The prices are pricey for food if you go after happy hour, but drinks seem to be reasonably priced. The mixed drinks are served in a large glass it mine cost me $ 7.50. Of course, it may depend on the drink. I had fried zucchini there and it was soo good. Flavorful and hot. I still give the place four stars because the bartenders were not very attentive one night. It was a Saturday night and it was busy, but that should not matter. Also, the prices are a little high for some of the food after happy hour.

We are so lucky to have such a great pub right down the street. Add to that great food and awesome bartenders and you have a winning combination. I hope they stay around for a long time!

The fish & chips are to write home about ! The staff is warm & friendly, a one of a kind neighborhood pub ! Great wings and who doesn’t love a warm Pretzel. I’ll keep coming back for sure ;)

happy hour bargain priced nibbles include pulled pork sliders, loaded with rich meat in vinegar style sauce, and Irish nachos done with homemade potato chips. Specials of the day were a mere $ 7, for bangers and mash and more.
Lovely friendly local bar with fireplace. Non pretentious décor, nice staff, like the backbone of working class America, and I loved it.

Laidback atmosphere complimented by awesome food and great prices. Staff is friendly and attentive. I highly recommend to visit as your local pub. Come try for yourself.

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! Fantastic local bar. The happy hour drink specials are great although I think their prices are great even off happy hour. The food is always good. Burgers are amazing, the wraps (especially the buffalo chicken wrap) are terrific. They also have some great Irish dishes that are very good. The atmosphere is relaxed, very comfortable and spacious — its even better when the fireplace is going. The bartender, owners, and other patrons are all very friendly. I can’t say enough good things about this place. I’ve told family and friends all about it and will continue to do so! Highly recommended!

Great place to go for a drink with friends or to eat dinner. Food is delicious and all fresh made. Was very happy with the service and friendly regulars. Definitely give it five stars and recommend it to all my friends.

When searching for a bar in North Haven, with happy hour specials, not many desirable options came up. My friend and I decided on Steel Horse Saloon (unaware that it had closed in October). We showed up at it’s location and realized it was replaced with E.J. Nevins. So naturally, we wanted to try it out. It’s a good size place. There’s a dining room with a bar and game room with seating and a pool table. Plenty of parking — it’s in a small plaza with a few other businesses.
We ordered $ 4 house wines (part of the Happy Hour seen in the photo posted). They also have some craft beers on tap. It was a great first experience. The bartender and other customers were friendly. I would go back again for another Happy Hour and to try the food.
