Agree with the other reviewer Unilocal describes it best — meh, I’ve experienced better. It definitely has that run down, greasy look and the food matched the décor. There are much better thai places that you can find. As a complete side note, parking is ridiculous here — it’s like watching games of tetris as cars move around the parking lot

It was a bad day for lunch. I headed out with the usual optimism that I would luck, intuit, gravitate, or «what have you» into another promising gem of an eatery. But damn me, the radar was getting blocked and I was forced to use my car’s GPS. This area of N. Hollywood is so devoid of eateries even the GPS couldn’t come up with anything. Then something happened, I found«Skafs» the Lebanese joint I’ve been trying to find forever. I pull into the lot where five cars were all playing«You move first». After 10 minutes I was forced to make menacing and aggressive jabs with my car to scare the other cars out of the way so that I could move on. Finally escaping the lot, I did about a mile circle around and found the Bangkok café. –Directly across the street from«Skafs»! The little stripmall housing Bangkok is run down and ratty. There’s a smoke shop there and a Kebob place I so wish I had gone to instead. But BC had an A on the door and it looked like it might be cute. Wow, this place is a true dive, and I mean that in a bad way. The place is just larger than a bread box with a little clay kiva fireplace standing in the center with some flowers on it. There are a few framed pictures of white orchid close ups hanging on an orange wall. If you do the film directors framing picture thing with your hands and block out everything else, this place isn’t too bad. I sat down at a sticky table covered by an old pad and a sticky kind of leathery place mat. The very cheery and nice waitress handed me a glass of ice water that tasted horrible. It had this weird toxic metallic taste. I was actually worried. I ordered the Prik King with chicken. She brought me the warm up salad and I went to grab my fork. It had some yellow greasy residue on it like it had only been half washed. I quickly switched my place setting with one from another table. The dressing on the salad was a non traditional peanut dressing with a shot of mustard. Unusual but actually quite good. Then the Prik King arrived. It was served in a small white crock. The green beans weren’t cooked enough and were quite chewy. The sauce resembled teriyaki and the chicken was overcooked. I asked for the check immediately, scarfed my food and split. I’ll just chalk this one up to experience. At least I know where Skafs is now. Hahaha.
