Very tasty pupusas. The best I tried in the valley!!! You will not be dissapointed!!! I always place my order in advance and they are ready when I get there!!!

I thought this place was good, until I found a piece of Scrub Sponge on one of my pupusas! The scrub Sponge even had little METALLIC pieces in it! It was disgusting! I wish I would of taken a picture of it but I was so disgusted I had to throw it away immediately.(Wish I regret) I’m never going back makes me wonder how unsanitary this place is !

Best pupusas in the valley. Except, too many men inside the restaurant. Other than that, it’s exquisite.

This is the only place I can eat pupusas that are actually good and freshly made !! The ensalada has great flavor. They do take a bit too long but mostly because they are making the food right after you order it which is way better than getting day old food just heated up… highly recommend

The stars went down bad, not because of the food but because of the service. There’s good service, there’s bad service, and then there’s SHITTYASSSERVICE. Can you guess which one this got, thus why the stars went down. In my last review I said the service is hit or miss, it all depends. Today was a very big miss. Let’s begin : Ever since David Bowie died, I’ve found myself making questionable decisions. I know Sunday nights are busy nights at this establishment but I wanted a pupusa, so I decided to come here with my grandma. We’re greeted when we walked in, given menus etc. 15 minutes pass, waitress never returned. In my head *ok it’s a little full*, she comes back takes our order. More people come in, she takes their orders right away. 20 minutes, YES20, she comes back and asks«oh what did you order to drink ?», BITCHWHAT ?! Ok no time to confront I give her my drink order again. We get our drinks. 30MINUTES pass, YES30MINUTES. She served the food to the people who came much later than us, leaving our table and a couple of others who came earlier unattended. She arrives with our Yucca plate but no pupusas. Well that was our order cos she never came back with the pupusas. My grandma sees that one of the waitresses who usually attends us well on past occasions and calls her over. She tells her we won’t want the rest of our order and that the service has been horrible. She apologized and went back to the kitchen. The dumb idiot waitress we had shows back at our table with the check and was like«sorry I gave the rest of your order to the wrong table.» I rolled my eyes at the bitch. My grandma ordered a pupusa revuelta de arroz, I highly fucking doubt someone else ordered that pupusa. Horrible listening skills, terrible organization. On nights like these you need to have a better team working, only one(the woman who helped remedy the situation who had helped us before) knew what she was doing. The other two are bumbling idiots, who would go into the kitchen together, take forever(cos they’re probably in there gossiping) and get orders wrong. These two women are tan skin, both have poorly dyed hair, one is short and the other tall with a mole on one side of her face. As long as those dumb asses work there, this place is going to have horrid service. Like my previous review mentioned, unless you’re a single, gross, drunk man or a party of 8, you won’t be attended. HEEDMYWORD ! TL;DR? : SHITTYASSSERVICEFROMTWODUMBASSESWHOCAN’T GETORDERSRIGHT, IDKWTFTHEYDOWITHTHEORDERSLIPS ! P. S. To make my dining experience worse, there was a group of annoying older women at the table next to me. One of them would not stop staring at me, even when I made eye contact with her, she would not stop staring. Then when my yucca arrived, her and her group were making comments of my food, wouldn’t stop staring until I put it in my mouth(OMFG, I’M SERIOUS) and then when my grandma complained to the waitress about the order, they were staring and got closer to listen in. I know management can’t do much about that, BUTSHITLIKETHATMAKESTHEDININGEXPERIENCEWORST, HORRIBLECLIENTELETONIGHTTOO !

I enjoyed the pupusas de loroco very much, and their curtido is also very good.

Horrible service waited over 45 mins. Even though we had 2 kids hungry and loud they still took a very long time. Walked up to the counter and asked the estimated time left… and they said they had many phone orders so that delayed the customers in the restaurant. The food was ok. had better. Won’t go back. Half of star. or less dirty. too

My husband and I have been to this place a couple of times and boy they are not consistent with their food. There were times that our pollo encebollado was really savory and then there were the extremely salty and yucky ones. The pupusas here are average and again inconsistent with the tomato sauce. I am Filipina and have eaten food all over the world and have had Salvadorean foord from my friends Salvi mothers and there is a big difference. I will recommend this place but hope you guys get the good times. As for my visit today, I ordered atole de elote and I liked it a lot. I do wish they take the corn out of the cob for the customers for it was hard to do it!

Really good authentic food, but the service on the weekends isn’t the best. I’ve been here a few times already, but each experience has me more and more disappointed. Me and my girlfriend LOVE pupusas, which would be the only reason we kept giving this place a second chance. The food is great, but if you have 2 hours to kill just to wait and eat then i would suggest this place is fitting. If you want great service, with friendly staff I would suggest you go to another place.

They have really good Salvadoran food! I had the yucca with chicicharron and the chicicharron was very tender and crispy it wasn’t dry. My boyfriend had the pupusas with queso and frijoles and they were delicious and finally I ordered the tamale with chipilin I never had one and it was very good!

Meh. Expensise and slow service. I walked out as soon as I realised it had been minutes since I had walked in and no one had paid any attention to me. I’m sure the food may be good I’m told it was but the service is lacking and the place itself is not as attracting neither. I prefer to go down to Izalco in burbank, better service and I love their pupusas.

This place is terrific and an excellent find in an off-the-beaten-path location not known for culinary proliferation. The pupusas are as great as advertised. The beef soup was well-made with fresh ingredients and a tasty and non-greasy broth, which was both satisfying and healthy. Others in our party enjoyed the chicken asada plate and a plate that looked like machaca con huevos… Which my friend said was fantastic. All the menu items seemed fresh, well-prepared, flavorful and visually appealing. Icing on the cake was the friendly service and really nice owner who greeted and checked-in on us. Flor de Izote is one of those great, small establishments that make Unilocal seem so genius. We will definitely be back for more.

My wife is very picky about her pupusas. Many factors go into her giving an approval, much less a recommendation. Once tasting the food from here, she called three of her closes friends. This is now our go-to place for pupusas and should be yours too.

Hands down the best pupuseria in NoHo, if not the whole valley. They were delicios and the ratio of masa and ingredients was perfect. They are a bit pricy but you definetly taste the quality ingredients. I had to rebuelta and the queso con ayote and I was surprised when I liked the cheese one much better. I would suggest sticking to the queso con ayote or queso con loroco, both taste fantastic. Te platanos were also perfectly ripe and cooked to delicious perfection. The beans and cream that came with them also tasted authentic. I will definitely be back. One thing I was not so pleased with was the horchata, it just felt like if it was lacking something I’m not sure what though. Other than that my meal was perfect. Next time I want to try the carne asada or the yuca frita or the sopa de pata! Yummy :)

I didnt think the food was as good as the reviews claim its been. I have experienced better. But maybe I just got unlucky the time that I went. The food was too greasy and the service was not great. Maybe I will give it another shot. 01/26/2015 ok So I went to try this spot out again and I Think this place is ok now. I think they may have a new owner, because it looked cleaner and well put together for what it is. The curtido is sliced very thin and it taste very good. the Servers attended me well. The horchata was the best here. glad I gave this spot anothe shot.

I have been searching for a good pupuseria for a long time. This place serves the beat pupusas in town(excluding home made). Every bite has some filling. I never bit into one and got a mouthful of maza. Jamaica was deliciously sweet and the Platanos yum! I got so full off of one Pupusa and cortido. I’ll be back very soon
