J.E.T. Studios

I needed a room to host a 3-​hour lecture teaching 7 members of my meetup group (North Hollywood Filmmaker Group) about DSLR cameras. It’s super easy to book the J.E.T. rooms. Simply email them with the time you want it and they send you an invoice via email. As soon as you pay BAM! It’s booked. No need for proof of insurance. I rented the Chaplin Studio which is the smallest room. It cost $ 45 to rent plus a refundable security deposit of $ 25. 7 people was a tight squeeze, especially because I brought a projector and had to scoot people along the wall to make room. I booked the room from noon-​3pm and it got very hot inside. It wasn’t till my 3 hours had ended that I realized there was an A/​C controller next to the light switch on the wall so I never got to test if the A/​C actually works. I almost wasn’t able to get into the room I rented because it was locked when I arrived! I told them via email this was my first time renting their space and they failed to mention I needed the room key. Fortunately another group renting the space was kind enough to tell me the keys were in a box next to the door. If the group hadn’t told me, I never would have found the key. J.E.T. Studios is the best place I have found in North Hollywood thus far to rent space for events. Libraries cost you $ 250 for 4 hours minimum and you have to have insurance.

What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon by attending A «Moment» In Life — An Evenings of One Acts at J.E.T. Studios in the amazing 60 seat Jet Theatre! i was thoroughly engaged from laughing to crying! Well done to all who made these ‘One Acts’ a truly memorable experience!

Always nice to support these small community theaters.
We were instructed at the front to enter thru their back door. The back door does not have eye level signage so we were walking around the alley looking for the entrance. Plus the doors are painted the same color as the walls so it blends right in. We ended up being late for the show as we couldn’t find the back door!
Would have been nice if the guy at the front door either let us come in that way or met us (or instructed someone to open & meet us) at the back door.
Because it’s a small theater, if you run late, you enter right on to the stage making it rude & embarrassing.
Parking is limited street parking. Takes awhile to find a spot. Some parking available across the street for $ 7.
TIP: If you’re renting this space and using the back door as your entrance, put a large brightly colored sign on the back door noting the entrance.

J.E.T. is a fantastic location for rehearsals/​auditions, classes, and performances. With several rooms, a theatre, a lovely lobby/​bar area, it has everything a performance could need. Judith runs the place professionally and is wonderfully pleasant and easy to work with.
If you need a place, consider J.E.T., I had a hassle-​free time running rehearsals there and I recommend it as an option to all my theatre friends.

Great Price /​Great Facility!
I HIGHLY recommend to rent this space if you are a start up producer in LA.
Because:
1. The rent is affordable. If you do your marketing right, you can break even.
2. Less hassle on set and tech. Use what they got.
3. Ask Judith any questions. She believes her clients success is everyone’s success.
I produced two shows here — with NO HEADACHE.
One thing I recommend is — make sure to inform your audience where to park on the performance nights.

What the hell with this place? My friend just moved here from the mid-​west and I suggested she check this place out for acting classes. Good GOD no! What the HELL is wrong with actors, and or owners of acting studios? Everyone in this place was so damn ignorant. There is an area inside like a small café and we walked in. I had no clue where to go with her, so I asked does anyone know where we should go? No one answered and everyone looked at us like we had two heads. OKAYYYYYYYYYYY? They we see a lady and I ask her is she works there. She says I OWN THE PLACE in a very nasty tone. I am like ok, where do we go to find out about the acting class she wants to take? The lady then ignores us, so we leave.
Not coming back here for sure. I don’t care how highly it was recommended.

Want a clean, well organized location to conduct an audition? JET studios is the place. With rates that start as low as $ 15 an hour, I found Judith Taranto’s business to be absolutely conducive to the budget-​minded as well as hospitable for staging a casting session central to wherever talent may live in Los Angeles. With air conditioning that WORKS and powder rooms for both genders, we will be back.

This place is AWESOME. Clean, large, and very accommodating to your needs.
I came here for an art show last Fall, and it was so fun! Red carpet, photographers, dancers, live art, amazing paintings, spoken word shows, short film screenings, a talented DJ, and snacks galore. They need to have more events like this!
After the show, we rented a space here to do casting. This place is so clean and nice, and the rooms are spacious and perfect for film and dance rehearsals. There is also a pretty awesome screening room with projection, as well as a wet bar in the back. There is even a nice little changing room in the back.
Nice addition to NoHo Arts District.

This is a new theatre complex in NoHo. We’ve rented two of their five studio/​theatre spaces for workshops. Clean, open, quiet (yes for a multi-​space venue!), nice vibe. Prices are good and it’s right in the heart of the NoHo Arts District. It can be used for any type of event and is great for classes.
