Not very good. Small menu and it’s like eating in a morgue, place was empty at lunchtime. Overpriced and just not worthwhile, too bad. (EDIT: After reading some other reviews here I agree — this place is a front for something.) (EDIT2: Drove by today and the signage has changed, saw inside as I drove by and it looks like the«foreign currency exchange» motif has been changed, now an open kitchen. So long Nick, you stank.)

They Suck! Suck! Suck! I had THEE worst friggin fried twinkie known to man… they literally just dropped the twinkie in a vat of hot oil or bacon grease, cooked it for maybe 30 seconds,… took twinkie out without draining it… drizzled some nestle’s syrup on it and had the nerve to hand it to me for purchase… I’ve tasted better mud pies from a 1st grader! The food sucked too, needless to say… Doesn’t even matter what we had… and was way overpriced! French fries were $ 5…$%#@!&… Won’t be back there… unless, of course, I need to parking space to go to KFC.

I really wish I would of read the reviews on this place before I ate here. Walked in the place, and it’s totally empty. Should of been a sign but didn’t catch it this time. Price for a pastrami and fries $ 10.50. Should of caught that one too but NOPE. Price for bottled water $ 2.00 because they don’t give free tap water. Again I missed it. Taste of the food wasn’t too bad. I really liked the season fries. The guy who served us said they cheddar season the fries themselves. Ok reason for 1 star. BUT here we are and we’re both not feeling too good. =( **note to self — stop and read the signs damn it ! =)

After a long morning of garage sale shopping, we were starving, sweaty and pretty much ready to eat anything advertised as edible. Fortunately for Nick’s(and unfortunately for us), we were at Laurel Canyon & Victory and my fiancé immediately spotted«hot wings» sign, so there we went. I ordered a veggie burger with their«special recipe». I think I must have the same exact«special recipe» — a Gardenburger right out of the box(trust me, I can tell the diff between a Boca burger and Gardenburger). I could’ve easily just gone home and popped one on the grill and saved $ 9 or $ 10. But alas, we were cranky and hungry, so I took what I could get. It also didn’t come with some of the toppings it claimed to include on the menu. Nick’s also lost a star for not having tap water… Restaurants should always have the option of free water served in a glass, and this place did not. I don’t believe in having to pay for bottled water because it’s wasteful and annoying to pay for something that should be considered free to customers. Can’t speak for the hot wings since I didn’t order any, but my fiancé tells me they’re just average. I hate leaving 1-star reviews, but I hope it will at least help this business in improving their food quality and menu.

You’ll find better wings in your grocery’s freezer section. Stepping in, I’m pretty sure this place is a front.

Had a hankering for some wings and this was the first place I saw. I decided to give it a try with a buddy of mine since I owed him lunch. We go in at around lunch time and the place is empty. I don’t ever like that, there’s usually a reason for that. We would soon find out why. I size up the offerings. I go for the 24 piece deal which gets you 6 extra wings, so 30 wings total. My half is mild hot while my friend gets his mild. We order our drinks, we get cans, meh not a fan of cans, but whatever we have a seat. Our order comes our pretty fast which was cool but the baskets the wings were in did not even look like they each had 15 wings in them each. The wings were tiny, ridiculously tiny, they must have gotten these from anorexic-midget chickens. The sauce was good, the service quick, and the people friendly. Nick, save yourself and ditch the tiny wings.

So glad I ignored the previous review and took a chance, I was really craving some hot wings and wanted something local … they DO have a variety of sandwiches not to mention kebab plates and such but I too went for the wings =)) We had the mild chicken wings, onion rings and pastrami sandwich… were also informed that they make their own wing sauce, their own batter for the onion rings AND smoke/season the pastrami themselves. Very impressing !! This place was great !!! The food was delicious, the indoor area was clean and air conditioned … 5STARS !! {oh and the wings size were just like any other wing place I have been to, actually a bit meatier at Nick’s} Summary= Food was delicious, Price was right & Service was great! We will definitely be returning. *****

when you pull into the tiny parking lot shared with a KFC, there is a sign that clearly states that nicks has the best wings in LA… LIES! The prices weren’t all that bad, typical of your average wing joint. Nicks also serves a variety of grilled items, but I came for the wings. The cashier was friendly and informed me that they make their own wing sauce. When he told me it would only take 8 minutes for my wings I was skeptical because most wing places take about 15 minutes for fresh wings. Well I got my answer when we opened the container to eat. These are not chicken wings, these are the wings of premature baby quails. They were ridiculously small. I think it is the smallest wing that I have ever seen. Everyone who sampled the wings agreed that the sauce was tasty but the size was just sad. One would have to order the 750 wing pack(and yes they offer that on the menu) to be satisfied.
