Below average food, veggies were cold and hard and I kept biting into undercook rice bits.

Owner had the nerve to call my mother to ask me to remove or change my review on Unilocal. That is ridiculous, if you know who I am you should have been calling me to appologize. How dare you! If I could rate 0 stars, I would!!! I am a mother myself, you don’t call my mother, she has nothing to do with this! If anything you should be even more ashamed of yourself, but I can tell shame is not in your vocabulary. You did what you did being«family/family friends» and having had my parents business for your resturant. I am my own person and I will NOT be giving you any business and I will tell anyone and everyone the truth on my own experiences. I don’t exaggerate, I don’t lie. You run your business how you do, and work on improving your service for the next sucker you get business from, and improve that! You can no longer fix what you have done in the past! Don’t call my family for me, I am not a child… neither are you. Grow up and run your business like a man. If I ever have to come to a party at your reaturant, I will leave another review on that experience, until than, deal with what I’ve gone through so far. I’m sorry you had a crappy day that day, but I promise you, my day was worse!

Walked in the other day, it was a Thursday around 1pm. The place was quiet but my wife and I decided to give it a chance. The décor is unique, colorful and fun(if you’re the type that doesn’t take these things too seriously, it’s quite enjoyable). The service is great, Mike is polite, friendly, and attentive. I’m not gonna sit here and pretend to be a Greek food connoisseur, because I’m not. But, the food was good, I ordered the chicken souvlaki, it was really good. My wife ordered the salmon, she loved it. The portions are just right and the prices are reasonable. I live close by so I’ll definitely be back.

I’m not going to lie… It was a little awkward/sketchy. We were the only ones there and there was only one guy working FOH. Christmas music was playing… The guy said we could order gyros but what we got was meat on a plate with some pita bread on the side. It was still pretty good though. Atmosphere could’ve been better. Maybe we just went at the wrong time…

Great atmosphere inside. It’s hidden away and you could just drive by it without knowing you just missed some great Greek food. I’ve eating here many times. Only reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 is because sometimes the saganaki is amazing l, other times it’s not the right cheese. Great place to go and take a date or eat alone.

Great service and good choices on food for a first time coming here. On Sundays they have live music Performers which is awesome. The customers are even very friendly to my surprise because when ever you go somewhere customers never bother to talk to the table across from them.

Came here on a week day at 7:30pm and the location was closed. Very bummed that it was listed as open online and it wasn’t

We had a big party of about 12 people which was mixed with toddlers. They were very accommodating and service was fantastic. Loved their lemon soup. The food was good and prices great.

We came here on a weeknight we were the only people in the place. That was a little concerning. It started out pretty good with the appetizer sampler plate. But it quickly fell apart when I order the lamb chops and they over cook the heck out of them. let’s just say I won’t be coming back here again.

Wow. I this place was so worth it. Reasonably priced, amazing food, excellent customer service, and a Greek feel to the place. I’ve been wanting to come here for since time but they usually open later in the evening. I went on a Friday night and we were the only ones in the restaurant other than the owner and his wife who was watching TV. As soon as we came in we were treated very hospitable; they lowered the TV volume, dimmed the lights, and turned on the water fountain. These were subtle gestures but it really spoke volumes about them wanting to give their customers a good experience. I would definitely go back in the near future. Not sure where all the customers were on the evening. Not even sure how the place stays opened since every time I drive by no one is there. Either way I’m glad I found my new spot!

I had a Living Social coupon to try this place out. On Unilocal,it says the restaurant opens at 5:30 pm. We get there, it’s closed. We call and they open the restaurant for us, they said that it doesn’t open until 6pm for dinner. Some people like to eat a little earlier, like me. The cook wasn’t there yet. The décor is perfectly Greek tacky… I love it! It reminds me of Greek town in Detroit. The appetizer plate was good. The pita bread was delicious. The feta cheese they use was creamy and delicious. I really liked their hummus and grape leaves. We ordered the moussaka which came with a salad. The tomatoes on the salad were SO good. I really enjoyed the dressing but I suggest you ask for it on the side. A little overdressed. The moussaka was very good. Meaty and yummy. The red wine was better than average for the price. If you don’t like the smell of cigarette smoke, sit further in the back. They use the front patio as a smoking room and it drifts in the restaurant. It seems to be constant. Overall food was good and homey. Décor was fun.

I’ve been craving for some really good Greek food for a while. I was driving around the North Hollywood area, and was directed here by Unilocal. The 4-star review seemed promising. The place wasn’t hard to find with the Waze navigation app. But parking was a challenge. I searched for a lot in the back, but there was none. It was a Monday evening, and found street parking right out front. As I got to the restaurant, a man was sitting at the seat closest to the front door, just chain-smoking. I was greeted at the front door by a very friendly man, that said we could sit anywhere. The place was empty, I mean we were the only ones there. So we picked a seat towards the back. The décor was like leftover Christmas decorations that have been hung there for over 5 years. There was a scent of old spilled red wine somewhere in the restaurant, and I just couldn’t get over the sour smell. There was complimentary bread, it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good. I ordered the moussaka. This was very good. Very meaty, and flavorful. Since it didn’t take that much time from when I ordered to when I received my food, I’m concerned that my meal may have just been reheated in the microwave.

I saw this place while I was in the area a couple times and made a note to visit. I was hoping to find a new Greek place but I think it needs a lot of work and it might also just be a bad location in addition but it wasn’t a fantastic experience in fact there were many parts to me that were just really odd… As you get to the restaurant parking is going to be a challenge. I also found it odd that someone from this place was watering the trees in the middle divider, it was odd that it turned out to be the cook. I found parking out front and after entering I found out that people can park in some of the surrounding businesses like the dental office next door. If this place ever got busy it would be a terrible situation but maybe they would hire someone to park the cars but no one was in the place. I didn’t like that a friend of the owner or family member was out front right by the entrance smoking, so you have to walk through that to go inside and then during dinner you get drafts of the smoke which wasn’t pleasant while trying to eat. There was absolutely no one other than the friend, the owner(?) and the cook and a lady who appeared later there the whole time. I have to say the gentleman that did the waiter service was very nice and pleasant to interact with but he seriously needs to do something about this place or its just a matter of time before they’re going to have to close. Maybe because I went on a Monday that’s a slow day but then close that day if they don’t have the business to support it but I think even if it was another day it might have had an extra patron or two but it needs work. The interior is sort of nice, I like what they tried to do but I think that since they’ve opened slowly its been in decline as the business has. For example, in the pictures posted on Unilocal the sign outside had a lit cloth looking like a flame. Either it was off or it was broken. Inside the lights on the wall to the left only 1⁄8 of the strand is working/blinking. The lights in the middle were all functioning. I didn’t look at the pond but they turned it on after we sat down(I guess they weren’t expecting a crowd). I also didn’t like that right in the entrance to the immediate right there was a ton of chairs piled up and I don’t know why. They seemed like they were just piled there, like 30 – 40 of them. The Food was only ok. They bring some bred but it was hard like it was stale, I only had a couple bites and ditched it, not even adding a lot of butter helped. The salad wasn’t great either and was done in reverse. The tomato first, the lettuce and topped with mozzarella cheese and an olive on top. If I guessed I would say it came out of a bag and the mozzarella seems… odd instead of feta. I think they could improve this, if it is indeed bagged, buy a head of lettuce and cut that, chunk the tomato and add chucked cucumber, salt and pepper. Replace the cheese and get a good oil/vinegar dressing for it and add a couple olives specifically finding the type used in greek cuisine(not just any olive). I ordered the Beef Souvlaki(kabob). This was mixed. The potatoes were too dry and could have been nice if they weren’t so. They tried too hard with the rice, they use an ice cream dish to mold the rice, that isn’t necessary, I would rather they just scooped it on the plate and keep it fluffy. Also, it seemed over cooked it was on the soggy side. The veggies looked like they are frozen from a bag and were a little mushy. Unfortunately there were a couple of hairs in the veggies which sort of grossed my out but someone I know who owns a restaurant says it happens so when I get the occasional one I look past but with the cook watering the plants out front and just the whole vibe I got from the place, I ditched the veggies and the rice. Since I tried it first I did eat the kabob because out of all the things I order this was done perfectly… which is odd and makes me wonder why if that was good why was the rest not… odd. I got to try the Moussaka and I have mixed feeling on it. I can’t say it was bad, it wasn’t but with my experience overall I just couldn’t shake the feeling it was microwaved. The desert I can’t comment on because I’ve never had it and have nothing really to compare it with. there were parts of it I liked and parts I didn’t. It looked really nice, I liked the filling. I want to say it had an amaretto or some sort of almond liqueur but it was a little rich for me. Outside of the kabob’s this was my second best thing, I’ll have to try it somewhere else to better comment on it for comparison. At the end I hope they can do something to improve the place, I wanted it to be better than it was. If it turned around I’d revisit, if it were as empty as my visit and the food the same there wasn’t enough there to have me come back.

The food is great. Some of the best gyros I have had in the valley. I heard they use baby lambs. The bar is also a nice touché. Always great to have some ouzo on my lunch break. Also, I heard the owner speaks Greek. ;) If you know what I mean… hehe. Just ask her. ;)

sigh Ok. I’m Greek. Family’s Greek. Mom and Dad — both Greek. All the way back… Greek. So… I was reeeallllly hoping this place was gonna work out and be worth it. I sooooo badly wanted it to be good. So badly I did. I brought my wife, my daughter — — on a Friday night. Prime time, right? Hoping. Really hoping that despite the reviews, it was gonna be worth our time. sigh inhale /exhale. so sad. this place is so very sad. sad, sad, sad. I so wanted to go back into the kitchen, push aside the one cook they had — who was also the busboy, prep cook, restaurant cleaner, etc, etc — and teach him how to cook. I’m gonna start crying. This place is like, five minutes from shutting its doors and going out of business. So sad. The owner was out on a family emergency. He has his wife, Ava, running the entire restaurant by herself. She barely speaks English. Armenian couple. Anyway, her and the poor Mexican dude in the kitchen — running the show. Firstly, they were both scared the whole time. Scared to serve food, scared to walk around, scared to make contact, scared. But we remained positive… and forged ahead. Ava — was soooooo sweet. Nicest, sweetest, most attentive and kindest lady you’ll ever meet in your life. Just as accommodating and nice as they come. Will give you the world. Oh my, I could just hug her. So sweet. Holding the world of this restaurant on her shoulders. ugh. The décor and atmosphere is decorated by those who think they are creating a «Greek» atmosphere. And honestly, you know, it was cool. Fountain in the back, with a weird pond, plastic boats, etc. On the wall — an actual rotating windmill. No really, it was rotating. Sparkly lights and the gaudiest stuffed swordfish above the bouzouki stage. The whole place was GREEKGREEKGREEKGREEEEEEEEEK décor. It honestly could have worked… IF the food… would have been… worth eating. Oh god, it was painful. Painful, painful, painful. Feta cheese and olives to start. The olives were weird. Sour, oversalted, more«Arabic» olives. The cheese was hard, flavorless, no cream or character. Pita bread was hot. Probably microwaved. My wife had a champagne split. I ordered a chilled shot of Jäger, to start. I know, I know… this is odd, but that’s what I wanted. Turns out, I had to go behind the bar and practically make the drink myself. She didn’t know what it was. She brought me a club soda with something brown in it… I don’t know. There was a nice gentlemen there who helped things along… I ended up getting an entire tumbler of chilled Jäger. That’s fine. Cool. Got my buzz going. tzatziki was ok. We ordered the grilled octopus. They didn’t have it. The Avgolemono soup… meh. Wow. Bad. Watery, no thought. My wife ordered the«Athenian Chicken.» Good god, what a catastrophe. Old rice, frozen veggies and two tubes of spinach stuffed chicken filets that were as old as Zeus himself. I ordered the«leg of lamb» — surely they can do this I thought. Holy Christ. Pre-frozen shreds of pan fried — Mexican style — lamb that I ate out of respect honestly, just to get through the embarrassment of it all. So sad. So. Very. Sad. Then… Ava spilled my daughters glass of lemonade into my lap. Ok, its cool. Moving on. She brought us baklava — gratis. It was drowning in honey and butter. My famished 6 year old devoured it because her plain spaghetti could barely be eaten. We kept smiling, eating what we could and crossed the finish line with the check. I shook Ava’s hand and thanked her. So sweet. And exiting the place on Friday night at almost 8:30, no one else showed up. Not a single person. Completely empty No one. No. One. The restaurant is on its last leg. Pulling food from its back freezer. So sad. My tears are falling. Hands down, some of the most terrible food I’ve ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever eaten in my whole life. It’s like watching an animal who needs to die, needs to be euthanized, but the owner won’t do it. What they need to do… fire the kitchen staff, change ownership, overhaul the menu and do a big promotional campaign to get this place back on its feet. Alas. If not — let this place die. Send it to restaurant heaven. It’s time. Horrible. horrible. Horrible. And sad I grabbed a toothpick on the way out, loaded on Jagermeister. May the Greek Gods save this place. An immortal being will be the only thing that could methinks.
