This place is beyond disgusting… The meat is full of fat & inedible. The staff is rude & the place looks dirty. Only good thing about this place is that it has an old card machine so my newer debit card couldn’t be charged… After having them talk shit to me for. It carrying cash they finally let me just leave without paying for the overpriced disgusting food

Wanted good Mexican food — this was fine. I had the chili relleno burrito. It was huge! And good. I’ll go back again.

This is the epitome of a neighborhood establishment! I grew up coming to this restaurant when the owner used to be the head cook. I always felt that her cooking was excellent and authentic. The atmosphere is unpretentious but clean and family-friendly. The owners and wait staff are extremely attentive and are open to honest feedback, since they are about a year-old, under the new ownership. They are obviously working hard to meet the needs of the community and only give them four stars because no restaurant is perfect, but my favorite dish is the Shrimp Cocktail, which comes with generous portions of shrimp and avocado. I also love their homemade corn tortillas and their red salsa. I also highly recommend their catering service. I have found it to be reliable, easy and just as delicious as eating at the restaurant.

Not good. Carne asada was chewy and tested like it had been microwaved. In fact we could even hear the microwave in the kitchen. Salsa was spicy and good. Service was friendly.

This place was absolutely horrible! I only gave them one star, because I thought the waitresses did at least try. Even though they didn’t speak a word of English! When I asked for something, they brought me everything, but what I asked for. So again, they tried! I had the steak picado w/rice only & flour tortillas. The meat was so tough & hard to swallow, the spices tasted old, and the rice was cold. Never again! So disappointed!

Hand made corn tortillas, scratch made salsas and sauces, nicely seasoned carnitas, and awesome micheladas. It’s a little family owned neighborhood joint that could use some better tables and décor, but their food is really good and tastes like mom’s in the kitchen. Cinnamon flavored coffee in the AM is a nice touch.

Took 10 minutes for our menus another 20 for someone to actually come up to us. I got a torta and it was so dry I hardly swallowed it and the bread was old! There was someome who came in after us and right away they served him and even his food arrived before ours! Over all I would NEVEREVER go back here again.

The best chili rellenos in town! Not too much batter like many restaurants o, who like to make them appear larger. My kid loves the bean and cheese burritos here.

Food is good. 4 stars for slow service. Menudo is good and coffee taste like de la olla. Good pricing

Not«authentic mexican» in my opinion — but I am spoiled by real down home cooking living in Santa Ana. Which is why I was having withdrawls on my weekend getaway. I Unilocaled near the location we were in at the time and this location popped up. I read home made tortillas and was sold ! Well that was all they have going for them oh and the chips and salsa ! I ordered 2 carne asada tacos and when they came I was horrified to see tomato chunks on my taco !! REALLY?! I hate tomato! Chips and salsa were perfect, but they do not maketh a meal ! Everything is better with an ice cold modelo ! :)

Great small Mexican restaurant! I had the pastor/asada tacos, and both get a solid rating. I actually did not find the place dirty, and when my waitress saw some waterspots on my fork she got me a new one before I could even say anything. Two tacos, chips and salsa, jarritos for $ 6.70? Yes please. Great lunch spot

It’s hard to find a place that has a quesadilla that measures up to Taco Azteca in Glendale. With Azteca as my baseline, their quesadilla was much smaller, the same price, and the meat was a little dry and bland. It did come with a side of chips and a waitress pouring water, which was nice. The salsa wasn’t as flavorful as Azteca’s and quite wattery. I wasn’t super impressed with this place, sorry.

Small and dingy, but with totally authentic, fresh and delicious food. Try the ribs in salsa roja, or any of the combinations. Fresh homemade tortillas and roasted pepper salsa. This is why L.A. is the greatest city in America for Mexican food… little places like this that make it authentic and cheap.

Found it here on Unilocal. The place is pretty good! they have beer so thats a plus. I had the Menudo which was OK. and the tostadas de ceviche which were pretty good! They put on the soccer matches so its a good place to have some seafood and or appetizers with your beer and your FUTBOL

This place is my go to for a quick breakfast burrito. The food is really fresh and has an authentic Mexican flavor. Their salsa is flavorful and roasted for an extra kick. The chicken burrito is just right. The chile rellenos are done right with a whole stuffed chile. I was pleasantly surprised by the shrimp tacos too. They are by far the best deal on the menu. The fish taco was disappointing. Very dry and flavorless. Good portions, friendly service. Somewhat of a hole in the wall but bright and clean.

We came here because we had a $ 25 off coupon from . We ordered ceviche de camarones, molcajete mixto, and fajitas mixtas, with two glass bottle Coca Colas. The meal was huge and delicious. An amazing value with the coupon. There were two TVs, both playing the Copa de Oro, which we enjoyed. Other than that, the inside is very basic, and feels like a quick joint rather than a sit-down restaurant. The location is hole-in-the-wall, we almost missed it.

Wow, hands down best tacos, quesadillas, tortilla chips I’ve ever had. The steak(Carne Asada) is really good none of that rubbery endless chewing stuffness you get with regular taco places. My fiancé said something really smart about taco stands and their popularity: «most taco stands are really popular only because they’re open really late, quality is secondary because most of their customers are drunk at 2am and not the most reliable source of reviews». Couldn’t agree more. I think this place has such few reviews because it’s not open late. Regardless I’d highly recommend everyone to make a lunch time trip over to this gem for some fresh made tortillas and the best tacos in town.
