I’m a business owner for over 25 years and I’ve been dealing with Set in Stone for about the last 7. Angela, the owner, is hands-on in every transaction, does beautiful work and always supplies me with top of the range granite for my specialty granite table tops. Her prices are reasonable for the outstanding product that she provides. AND, she’s a women in a mostly man’s land; I like to support that. I’ve tried other manufacturers for my product, and in quality, they don’t even come close. Highly recommended if you want the right product the first time around.

Great service and great work — I have used other granite companies and set in stone is by far the best.

We used Set In Stone and they were the most professional, prompt, personal, and efficient vendor that I’ve almost ever used. The owner(Angela) is a person of her word. When they measured at our home, they told us that the stone would be installed in two weeks. Well, they were one day less than two weeks. I was amazed. Their prices were very competitive too. Don’t look any further, you won’t be disappointed. This should be your stone fabricator. I guarantee you’ll be happy!!! Corinne & Gene D.

Set in Stone is the best! Angela and her team did the countertops in my café and now she is about to do my new home kitchen. I wouldn’t think of going to anyone else. Nightly recommended!

After having worked with another granite fabricator and installer, who shall remain nameless, I was very pleased to be introduced to Angela Woods by my contractor. Angela is warm and straightforward as well as cognizant of the team mentality involved in working with others in the construction field. Backtracking, though, the first step is to choose an appropriate slab at one of the yards within the immediate stone zone in North Hollywood. The choice of the stone can be the most difficult step. For me, no hesitation with the choice, much to the amazement of my contractor. The kitchen was already painted, and I had a vision of how the counters would be viewed from the different angles within the house. Also, when choosing the slab, I could see how I wanted it cut for the backsplash and the counters. With a background in textiles and an affinity for stone, I thought that the process was a lot of fun. Truly, it is magical to discover the right stone slab, knowing without measurement that it would reduce well for the space while emphasizing the specific swirls within the stone matrix that would create movement within the backsplash. Certainly, others may have a different approach— choose the stone, then choose the décor. Whatever works. It’s a matter of informing Angela which stone yard has the chosen slab. Meanwhile, Jesus(Angela’s assistant) travels to the work site for accurate measurements. In the master bathroom, the granite used was a remnant from another one of my projects. In this case, while at the house Jesus measured that space also. The granite slab was transported to Set in Stone by my contractors. Then a morning trip by my husband and myself to meet with Jesus to confirm the cuts of the 2 different slabs. For me, this is a very important step in the process. Jesus, with a smile on his face, approved of how I interpreted the stone. Sidenote here: we made an appointment through Angela to see Jesus first thing in the morning, enabling all of us to move on with our respective schedules. Angelenos know full well that with traffic conditions in the area of North Hollywood that it is necessary to allow more than enough time to make appointments. I could have requested the remnants from the 2 slabs. Remnants from jobs are sold in the small area in front of Angela’s yard. So, anyone seeking a smaller piece of stone can check out Set in Stone. In the end, the counters and backsplashes in the kitchen and master bath are harmonic with the entire atmosphere of the house. Above all, it is always a pleasure to work with skilled people, no matter what the trade or profession.
