I rarely order delivery but when I do it’s for convenience; ood food, fast and effortless, right? Not here. I ordered on grub hub. I had requested a side of peanut sauce. A normal request that has never been a problem before; they just include a tiny plastic container of peanut sauce. With this place though… Ugh– 30 minutes after placing my order, I get a voicemail saying the peanut sauce would be 4.00 extra and they will not continue the order until they hear back from me. I call them back and I’m laughing because…$ 4 for a few tablespoons of peanut sauce??? The lady that picked up the phone was nice but obviously embarrassed and immediately started consulting another woman– manager? Owner? Whoever she was, she was so incredibly rude, I was stunned– she went on and on as though she couldn’t believe I even requested such a thing… And now it is 50 minutes after I placed the order– I could have had it already! I told her if it had been on the menu as extra, and if she had any inclination of good customer service, I would not have blinked at paying an addl fee, even if it was absurd. Instead I told her to cancel the order and look for my Unilocal review. Unbelievable. I will never never never ever order from here again– I don’t want their rude and greedy energy around my food!

Very disappointed! After seeing all the great reviews decided to give it a try. Had it deliver to work. Got here within 30 mins that I placed the order. Not bad. I ordered Tom yum soup and lunch special. Everything was lacking flavor, even rice was overcooked and smushy and the soup was bland. I didnt even finish it anything. I won’t be ordering from here again

I got orange chicken dinner speical and I was disappointed. The orange chicken was overcooked and crunchy while the sauce was very thick and too sweet. The brown rice and spring roll was good. I came here because other reviews were so good, but I was disappointed.

So disappointed, The chow mein was mushy and the orange chicken was way too sweet. It was drenched in sauce and it took almost 45 minutes to get to our table.

Ordered delivery. BBQ ribs and BBQ chicken. The ribs were rock hard and the sauce did not help. The chicken was really dry. I won’t be ordering from this place again.

Ordered for the first time on grub hub. The food was OK but I ordered 2 Thai iced tea and only received 1. I called the restaurant and they sent the driver back with another one which was nice but a little late I wanted it with my food and both of them were mostly ice. Won’t be ordering from here again

Its been over a decade since I’ve had real spicy Thai food. Every Thai food place I’ve visited has non spiced food and they give you packets of hot sauce and chili powder. Not this place. This place is the real deal. I have an uncle who is Thai and this is the closest thing I have had to home cooked Thai food. Make no mistake, these guys are not shy when it comes to spice. The food was scorching spicy, but the flavor was incredible. Fantastic hidden Thai food gem in the Valley!

The food is really good, however the portions all of a sudden have gotten tiny. I don’t think I’ll be ordering from here anymore. This really bums me out because this place is a block from my house and has been a solid go to when in the mood for Thai. I guess I’ll have to find a new place now…

One of my favorite Thai restaurants in LA& it’s my first time here & won’t be my last. Food was absolutely amazing, I got the yellow curry chicken spicy & it has the best flavors. I’m extremely impressed! Friendly staff makes you feel like you’re at home! Come come! You won’t regret it!

Very cute and homey place. The food was great. I got the lunch special pad Thai for 7.99 and it was a good amount. I couldn’t even finish it. Very good coming back for sure

Pretty good! I got the Pad See Ew? If that’s how you spell it. I got it to go. Walked in and there wasn’t a soul there. But the lady was super sweet and the food tasted good, so for me. that’s enough to come back. Or just order takeout again

this place is really good. i was in the valley and unfamiliar with this area. my friend and i decide to Unilocal thai food in the area. this location came up(within 1mile from us). we decided to give it a shot. everything was reasonably priced and the quality of the food was great. 3 plates for 2 people came out to around $ 32 bucks with the tip. we would go here again if we winded up in the area.

Since my last review of Thai Gourmet, it has gone under new management. Since they sold the place we have been back about 3 times just to give it a try in hopes that our dear«Thai Gourmet» would taste the way it used to… it doesn’t. I am sad to say that this is good-bye. Even the peanut sauce for my satay doesn’t taste the same :(It breaks my heart as they really were the best Thai Food i had ever had in the Valley. If anyone knows where the previous owners went, LETMEKNOW!!! The wife/cook was sweet as pie and knew us and our order, her husband the same.

I’ve been watching a lot of Spartacus recently, please forgive: Ah yes, Thai Gourmet. A friendly little place on the corner of a street none has entirely been able to pronounce correctly. I was recommended this restaurant by a former roommate, a rat and scoundrel, and so did not partake to this establishment until recent needs for Pad See Ew brought me the 6min walk from my home. Now. I have had better Thai, but that’s not what Unilocal has stood for when it comes to a review. A restaurant is to be rated on several things, or at least five if we’re to take into account the stars Unilocal offers. Service, cleanliness, the quality of food, delivery standards and then that extra something that makes you come back again and again. And Thai Gourmet hits those little squares above this review each time. They are helpful, honest but most of all this restaurant is ‘nice’ to be in with respectable prices for food that I have found excellent despite the décor and being in a roadside mall. Too often have pricier, more beautiful establishments obtained that oh so rare 5th star for ‘wowing’ patrons with mustachioed waiters and some kind of bacon infused cocktail, blinding the eateries poor excuse of dining with such flare– no no, my 5 stars recommend why one wants to dine on Thai food and Thai Gourmet does no little or more than deliver(free) to my happily awaiting maw.

Thai Gourmet is delicious Thai food prepared with love and care. I live across the street and love the price and consistently solid quality of the food. We have ordered orange chicken, pad Thai — so good, pad see ew, tom kha soup, egg rolls, chicken lo mein, prig king pork — it all tastes so good! I recommend this food to friends visiting from Chicago and LA locals alike and they rave about it. The reason I’m writing this Unilocal is because tonight we decided to try the calamari tonight and it was SODAMNGOOD. Perfection. I’ve been ordering from here for over two years and they still surprise me. Yes it’s small and a hole in the wall and I love that.
