I’m working two doors down at the doctors office and I came in here for lunch being told that they have some great food. I have been to over 25 restaurants/stands/markets in the LA, oc and Oxnard areas eating shwarma and pita wraps but i have come to realize that this is one of the best chicken pita wraps I have ever had… and it was the size of a chipotle burrito!!! When I walked in I saw a lady hand making the kube(ground and spiced beef breaded and fried) and I decided to give those a shot and the were amazing with yogurt sauce! 2 kube and 1 chicken pita wrap= ~$ 11. My new favorite lunch spot

Ever had a craving for Mediterranean food, but never could find a great place to eat at and leave with a happy tummy? Well, Top Falafel satisfied my cravings and more. This little hole in the wall restaurant, that is family owned, cooked and prepared by them, makes the best food ever. A group of friends and I decided to try this place out in person. We have always had their food when they would cater at events and their servings and flavorings was top notch. So why not try and test it out in person. And OHMYGOD! It was AMAZING! Let me get into detail now. As we walk in, the place was small, but the smell of the food that was cooking right off the grill(which you can see cooking right in front of you) just took over my senses. I ordered a CHICKENFALAFELWRAP that came with fries and I was blown. The taste, the crunch of each bite from the veggies, to the chicken, to the falafel, to all the other amazing stuff they put in it… Just blew my mind. ITWASFRESHOFFTHEGRILLANDITWASREFRESHING. And it’s not only the taste. They STUFFED my wrap. I couldn’t even finish it because It filled me up. And the total was just about 10 dollars. Seriously. Love this place! I would definitely come back. Next time, Ima get their plates!!! THANKYOUTOPFALAFEL! I recommend, I recommend, I recommend. Amen.

This review is not only MYVERYFIRST review, but is also very long overdue !!(That rhymed. HAHA!) I have been eating here for ~3 years now. Religiously. I crave their food and actually eat it at least once a week. I repeat, ATLEAST once a week. This is a ma’ and pa’ restaurant. The vibe, food, and atmosphere are all uniquely family-oriented. They take great pride in the fact that they make almost everything from scratch. On top of all that, they are consistently amazing. Their portions are more than what you would normally get on typical plate from a similar restaurant. Where do I even begin when it comes to the flavor?! Their plates are always so savory and refreshing. I am surprised at how low the prices are considering the quality of food that I put in my mouth. The gyro wraps, chicken plates(or wraps!), kubeh, grape leaves, babba ganoosh, hummus, and tabouleh are my favorite ! Their rice is also very unique tasting(shout out!) I mean, when I think«middle eastern food,» I think«Top Falafel» — They will never disappoint your hungry tummies !! Now I’m going to eat my leftover falafels with that awesome tahini sauce.

I’ve been to the movie theater next door to this establishment but I have never eaten at Top Falafel until last weekend. The Gyro was the best I’ve ever had and I’m 58 years old so I’ve eaten a lot of Gyros. Everything here is home made– –nothing from cans. I’ll be back!

Really enjoyed this Lebanese Restaurant for lunch. I ordered the Falafel plate and 1 each to taste of their Kibbeh & stuffed Grape Leaf, both were wonderful. Their Falafel are nice size with a nice crunch and softness inside. I remember as a kid, my Lebanese friend describing Kibbeh to me as mini fried footballs stuffed with ground beef & pine nuts. Their food tasted just as good as I remember that Lebanese friends families cooking. I’ll definitely return again!

Amazing! My friend and I went here to get a bit after we saw a movie at the theatre next door. We ordered the veggie plate, which was about $ 14 I want to stay, but it had soo much food in it! It came with 5 different items plus pitas. We dined in, so the owner also gave us extras for free and came and gave us more pita! All of that combined was enough to fill both of us up, plus extra to take home! The staff was super nice and it was all very delicious and I would totally come here again!!!

This place is amazing. I’ve been to Top Falafel four times now in the past few weeks, and have tried almost everything on the menu. It was all great. The chicken and steak are juicy, the hummus is outstanding, and the prices are more than reasonable. It appears to be a family business, and they are all very nice and friendly. I definitely recommend this great little spot behind Cinemark Theater!

I came here for lunch with a friend of mine who recommended I try this place. Since this place is called top falafel I felt it necessary to try their falafel of course. So I decided to get the falafel wrap and a side of fries. Came to about $ 10. The falafel wrap was delicious. If you’ve had falafel before then you know it’s very easy to screw it up. It becomes dry and hard to chew, resulting in a very unpleasant experience. But they get their falafel right. It isn’t dry and I had no issues eating it. That had to pass, because if it didn’t then I wouldn’t see why they call themselves top falafel! The freshness of the vegetables was also great. You can taste the tomato and lettuce being as fresh as can be, and that’s really important. The only gripe I have is about the pita bread… If it was more toasty I’m sure it would have provided a lot more flavor. The bread is average. Everything inside it is top notch. The fries… They were good, a lot of seasoning and their ranch is delicious. I wish they could have been a little crispier but I’m not very picky so I enjoyed them anyway. But the fries are nothing extraordinary, just good home made French fries. I give the entire meal a 7.5÷10. Flavors were very good, but being Lebanese myself, I’ve tried falafel from many places. This restaurant makes a very respectable falafel wrap, but I’ve certainly had much better. That’s not to take away anything from this place. Because I’ll most likely be back again should my falafel cravings surface again.

This is a small mom and pop middle eastern fast food. I wanted to grab something to eat before I went to the movie theater and this was very convenience. This is very small place with three tables in the inside and few tables on the patio outside. They offer simple menu with your favorite middle eastern food. The man(owner) was all alone and he had few customers to take care of their orders, still I was not ignored and he happily took my order. I ordered falafel sandwich and I watched him making the falafe balls fresh, then dropping them in the fryer. I like that falafel being made fresh and not heated in the microwave. While waiting I asked him if I can switch the channel on the TV to watch the football game. He handed me the remote and asked me to go ahead and change it to whatever I like. Ten minutes later, I got my sandwich and it was huge enough to feed two people. It was fresh, hot and very tasty. I hope next time I can try their beef and chicken shawerma. Some customers ordered that and it looked good as well.

Woooow this place has the most amazing gyro wrap you will ever try in your life-time. Truly a hole-in-the-wall mom and pap shop with some amazing food. I came here with a friend of mine a few years ago because he told me it was his favorite place as a child and we were around the area. After that day, I hadn’t had it until 3 years after, which was last week. I walked in and the owner and his wife were going over paper-work and stuff like they were at their home. I loved the vibes. Ordered one gyro wrap, which was huge! Next time I’m gonna eat two because it’s too good.
