A Bit of the West

with a lot
of the
west
It’s hard to give five stars to such a tiny place. I’ve seen bathrooms bigger than this store. But the coolness factor goes right off the chart.
A Bit of the West is located right on the water in the middle of Wickford. Great location. The inside of the store is filled with items form the south west. Most were made on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico by Native Americans. Incredibly cool wind chimes and silver and turquoise jewelery. Rings, bracelets and necklaces that even my brutish eyes could appreciate. Shirts and sweats with south western motifs. Such absolutely fantastic and unique gifts and crafts that you seldom see out here. I didn’t even mind my wife spending tons of money in this store.
What make this place even better is the woman working there. She was soooo nice and friendly. Didn’t seem to care if we bought something or not. When I told here I use to live in New Mexico we got into a long discussion about old times.
Sure the place is tiny but is so full of life, fun and originality that it deserves more than five stars.
