Trazos Art Academy

My friend and I did a BYOB painting class here & I was a little skeptical at first. It wasn’t a fancy place and there was a lot of art on the walls. My first thought was «oh god they’re going to tell us paint whatever you want» and that’s not what I was looking for — I expected more of a paint by numbers and was a little dismayed when I got a blank canvas!
Felipe was our instructor and he made me feel totally at ease. He had a great personality and awesome sense of humor. He was totally accommodating of my ADD (The class can be a little slow at times) and encouraged me to get really creative with my artwork.
We had such a fantastic time! I would totally recommend this to anyone who is just looking for something fun to do or someone who needs a good stress reliever. I personally am a fan of coloring to relieve my stress but this is definitely a much better and more fun option in my opinion, especially because there’s alcohol involved!
I will be coming back for sure! Thanks Felipe for being amazing!!! (I saw some of his personal artwork that he had on his phone and he is quite the phenomenal painter, not just some random dude they hired to teach the class).

First time doing a painting BYOB and it was definitely a lot of fun. Our party was a little late, because the GPS had led us in the wrong direction, but they were very generous and waited for us. I had also brought some moscato, but silly me, I forgot the cups and bottle opener. however, they were very prepared and had a wine opener and cups. Thank you!
I bought a Groupon for 4 people and it was definitely worth it, because the price per person was $ 45. Melissa was our instructor and she was very sweet.
Just a couple of suggestions to make the experience a little better. There were a lot of people and only one instructor and one helper so it can definitely get a little crazy, which is understandable. I would recommend maybe setting up all the paint colors ahead of time, to save some time, because throughout the class they kept going around filling our paint. As for the painting part, it would have helped if we went through each part step by step and the instructor would show us how to do it. For us left brainers, we need a more methodical way of learning to do new things. I know we’re trying to tap into that creative side and we can add a couple of touches in the painting later, but a more step by step instruction definitely would have put me a little more at ease. I felt a little lost at certain points.
Other than that great atmosphere, great music and nice group of people.

We had such a wonderful time at this painting class. Felipe was a great teacher and so much fun to work with. The class was great for a date or for a group of friends! Such better painting choices than the generic ones out there (and better end result). It’s good for all levels of experience. The end product is wonderful and the night was so much fun. Great music while painting. Bring food and drinks and enjoy! Thanks Felipe for a great painting class experience.

I recently celebrated my birthday here. The owners were so accommodating, organizing my party was a breeze. The space was cozy, the music was perfect. We all had such an amazing time that everyone plans returning for another class. Felipe, our instructor, was nothing more than stellar. This is hands down a must for anyone looking to create wonderful memories and beautiful art.

Had an awesome time at the BYOB painting class on a Friday! The instructor Felipe was super cool, helpful and funny. The music selection was perfect and painting was so much fun. I will definitely be returning to paint some flowers! Oh and Yes and I brought my own bottle of wine and thankfully they had a bottle opener ready! Felipe even refilled our cups as we painted… it was really so much fun :)

I consider the classes, etc are amazing! A nice enviroment, great team plus the result of the kid’s work is unbelievable!
