The Miami New Times reported recently about a story involving Kent Security of Miami and the Kensington Golf and Country Club community of Naples, FL. An employee found wooden paddles with the names of employees and threats of them, and also found a «Wall of Shame,» in the main gatehouse. The Wall of Shame was meant to shame the guards for errors they allegedly made during their assignment. According to this article, the only people who were punished were those complaining about the abuses in the gatehouse. The work environment of this gatehouse has been described as a «dark netherworld,» because the suburban residents had no idea of what was going on inside the gatehouse. According to the article, the CEO Gil Neuman’s response was that the paddles were«a tasteless joke.» Needless to say, many employees and former employees of Kent Security found those comments to be very inappropriate.
