Absolutely delicious! Pleasantly surprised. Fresh vegetarian(Ital) food. I also tried one of the patties as a first time customer, curry seasoned crust and spicy veggies inside. Totally loved it! I will be going back more often

Very tasty guilt free food, you can tell they put their heart and soul into their dishes because it was THEBEST vegan plate I’ve ever had, not to mention we were greeted with such love and knowledge about what eating bad can do to you, definitely coming back here!!!

Good vegetarian /vegan food takes some getting used to in our salt and pepper driven world. Yes vegetarian food can be bland, but this is not the case at Konata’s. I can’t help but eat every bite of their well valued«meal special». Their Veggie patties are filled with flavor and NOT a hint of salt.(unlike some other nearby establishments that will remain nameless) What had originally brought me to try Konata’s was that they have(as far as I am aware) never received a health code violation. This is quite rare, chain restaurants I’ve worked in regularly receive violations. Konata’s is amazing simple Ital food. Give them a try!

Konata’s not only has delicious, fresh, guilt-free vegan food, but they are also run by wonderful people. My friend I stopped in at 6:20PM on a Saturday night(they close at 7.) We ordered two meals and when they came out, we discovered that their credit card machine was down and walked down to the ATM in the gas station on the corner to get some cash. To our dismay, I couldn’t get my pin number to work and couldn’t withdraw the money. We went back to the restaurant and let them know that we couldn’t get cash. The older man(who I assume is the owner) without hesitation exclaimed«Hey, you pay us next time you come back, my brother» and gave us each a fist bump. We were so grateful for his kindness. THESTORYGOESON. We took our food to go and told them how much we appreciated it, and that we would come back soon to repay them. We were sitting and eating in the car, when we hear a knock on the window… It’s the owner, with two apple juices and a water in hand. He says to us, «Just thought you might get thirsty and want some apple juice… and some water to wash that down.» We couldn’t contain our smiles and gratitude and we told him we would be back very soon, and we will. What a pleasant experience to see the good and kind side of humans. This place is full of good vybes and great food!

Konata’s is the best vegan food ever. It is so fresh and a fresh meal is cooked daily with delicious veggies, beans, grains, legumes, and spices. There are amazing spicy yatties, soft and moist cakes/breads, warm soup, and fresh juices. Everything is homemade. There are also herbal tonics for sale which I have recently started drinking daily and have so much more energy. The son is so nice, helpful, and friendly and his father is the cook. The restaurant is small but packed with pages of information about the health benefits of different foods. The walls are decorated with different spiritual and historical figures. I love coming to Konatas.

Ital is vital. Highest quality flavors. Run don’t walk! This hits the nail on the head for me. Jamaican restaurants are a dime a dozen in Miami but Konatas stands out among them. My parents saw me eating my plate today and they wanted to try some. The portion is hefty so I had enough for them to try some and they loved it. My dad wants me to take him soon.

There is not anything else that I can add to what has already been said. Konata’s definitely delivers a delicious complete vegetarian meal that is well balanced and delicious! I’m an no where near vegetarian or vegan, but every single moment that I have an opportunity to go in a grab a meal, I am definitely there. What I enjoy the most is that in one meal, there is so many different textures and tastes that go through your palate with every meal that is served. They serve up some of the most delicious meals anyone can have without the meat. Trust me, with the textures and the protein sources, Konata’s provides you with a perfect balance that is just plain ol’ good and you are not missing anything… But to go and try a vegetarian meal for yourself. This place is definitely a hidden gem, unless you know or have heard about it, you would not make your way there. If you like Jamaican patties, make sure you get yourself one of Konata’s yatty. This is a vegetarian patty that they have a regular or wheat crust, filled with a variety of legumes and veggies that have great curry seasoning and have a slight kick to it that is both enjoyable and delicious at the same time.

After weeks of eyeing this place on Unilocal,I decided to give it a try. The gentlemen behind the counter were sweet and service was very fast! Nice ambiance in the place also. Now for the food, I ordered the daily meal for $ 11.77. This was my first time having a vegetarian meal. It was surprisingly tasty and the flavors really complimented each other. Everything was new to me, but nothing was unsavory or u satisfying. I was given a free veggie patty for being a first time customer. I found it to be a little spicy for my liking. The pine ginger juice has a kick, it leaves a real burn in your throat. I’d say it was about 80% ginger and 20% pineapple because the ginger really overwhelmed. But somehow it worked with the flavors of the meal. I would definitely recommend to anyone who has been thinking about trying this place. I took a star because it seemed a little pricey for the meal and juice, my total was just under $ 20.

Superextraordinarily amazing service. The gentleman behind is extremely helpful and patient. He is willing to explain the«pureness» of his dishes. Everything is either vegetarian or vegan. The dishes are superb. The yatti is perfectly crunchy and spicy(for me). The juices are«WOW.» The ginger pineapple is great for your throat. The berry passion fruit is slightly tangy, very good. The soursop is creamy and delicious. The Irish moss is sweet. The guava mango is PERFECT. The tomato almond cake is my favorite. NO, it does NOT taste like tomato. NOTATALL!!! It is GREAT!!!

I should start this review off with mentioning that I’m not vegan or vegetarian, I just enjoy good food. Konata’s serves up good food, the fact that it’s vegan is nice but don’t let that stop you from going. If anything it should show everyone that eating healthy doesn’t mean you have to give up eating tasty food or spend a small fortune; this place is very affordable and very tasty. And don’t let the location scare you either, the place is clean and the guy behind the counter is very nice.

Another hidden gem… As I was in the Miami area and lunch hour was nearing, I decided to try Konata’s. «First timer?» The pleasant young man at the counter inquired. That it was. He proceeded to explain to me what the meal of the day was which included a pasta salad, a quinoa/brown rice mix, cucumber salad, chick peas and Vegan meat. I couldn’t believe how much goodness came in this combo. Divine! It all tasted so fresh. Everything seemed to complement each other so well and the spices weren’t too overpowering. Also tried the vegan patty. Nice crunch to the crust. Sip(soup) is also available which I haven’t tried yet and a ginger drink which I plan to try as well the next time around. The restaurant itself is a small casual spot with a few stools for those who decide to eat in, plenty of parking and very friendly service. Planning a return real soon.

Wow… this place is a gem. I’m into my second week of going vegan and I’d been looking around for tasty, flavorful food. The gentlemen were friendly and actually encouraged me to keep going with it and when you go in you will see booklets on super foods and the benefits they have on your body. Pretty much they have their daily meal so no options but it was so good it was okay. I had like this wild grain kind of mix, with corn cake, plantain, lentils, and a side salad. I even got one of their patties which I believe had beans and a mixed vegetable blend. So satisfied and it was so delicious. I ate every bite. I’ll be back.

Had a really nice experience here today. I walked in, not feeling well and wanting to eat something healthy for lunch. I placed my order and then sat at a counter waiting. My head was hurting pretty bad and I assume I must’ve either been squinting my eyes from the pain or holding my head. The owner came from the back and asked if I was ok. First off, THATNEVERHAPPENS! People are rarely ever concerned for others so immediately, I felt good because, not only did he ask but he came out of the kitchen to ask. I told him I wasn’t feeling well and had a headache. He asked me to hold on a second. Then he went to the back and came out with a cup of something for me to sip. He told me to sip slowly before I ate my meal. I went back to my office and did just that. I sipped slowly on this delicious concoction(which may have been a spicy broth from a very delicious soup). It is now 1:11pm and I’m feeling nice. A lot better than this morning. BUTMAN!!! WHAT A NICEGUY! This is the stuff that Unilocal dreams are made of! I’m gonna rave about this all day because as a native Miami-an, I have to tell you, customer service like this ain’t common! I’ve already sent several friends and family members to this spot and I’m going to make sure to give plenty shouts to this place every chance I get. The food is really really good but the customer service just gave me a newfound respect!

First time here but it will definitely not be my last. The food was amazingly delicious. Too much rice but that’s just me, I’m not into rice like that, the«meatballs» were so good and I really liked the plantains. The ginger pine juice is perfection. I also got a yattie. A bit to spicy for me but very delicious. The place itself is spotless. The guy behind the counter was nice and friendly enough and the service was quick. I love that they use eco friendly food containers. I’m so glad there is an option for tasty healthier food in the opa locka area.

I decided to go here a few times before giving my final review. I LOVETHISPLACE! It is a bit of a drive for me but if I can make it there I will. The area is not the best and the place is a small joint. Not much for sitting inside but it is clean and they are friendly. I have many different variations of the food there and It does not disappoint. It is fresh, yummy and you feel you are getting good quality food. I love how the mix quinoa and rice together. I wish it was closer to me but I’m glad either way I found a great vegan joint.

Hole in the wall but one of my favorite vegan spots in Miami. You order by the plate so it’s pretty much a special of the day platter and the patties they have are great too. Definitely recommend this place for anyone who doesn’t like processed foods!

Vegan and tastey. Had to see it to believe it but I’m happy to say the reports are true:) Almost on the corner of NW7th Avnue and 135th Street, this place is conveniently located close to I-95. Pros: It’s vegan and tastes GOOD. Shocking. I’m a meat-eater and have never come across a place in Miami that can do veggies right and this place does it. It’s $ 10 a meal. It’s clean! I felt comfortable eating in and each customer that came in the front door greeted me. Also, the service was friendly and helpful. Parking is free and is right next to the place. They take credit cards:) Con: Not the best looking neighborhood. Had no issues with the locals but just gotta throw that in. The place is small so don’t plan special events or groups for a visit. The outside décor could use a little modern twist in terms of lighting and signage. Unique Factor: You eat what they cook! There’s a meal of the day($ 10) so no choosing for you! it’s Jamaican and you’ll hear the accent dropped in conversation and the walls are decorated with Jamaican themed pictures. Did I mention it’s vegan, again a great niche. This place attracts a lot of hipsters:)

I love how delicious, wholesome and healthy my meal is, and at a very reasonable price! $ 10 gets you a lot of food, but it was so yummy I finished the whole thing. There was some salad, some avocado slices, some quinoa stew, lentil stew, green bananas with some more quinoa. Most veg restaurants will give you half that much for the same price! There is only one offering per day, so if you are the type with various dietary restrictions, you may want to think twice. Place is not big, but definitely not crammy. You can comfortably sit at the counter and enjoy your food. They even have a large TV — which happened to be showing some lions devouring their decided non-vegetarian lunch on Nat Geo the day I went… Konata’s is on 441 not far from I-95, so an easy detour even if you are not in the neighborhood — which chances are, you aren’t. It’s a stand-alone building with its own lot.
