The ambiance is bare bones yet cohesively cute. They only serve Blue Bell, but that’s not a bad thing(Blue Bell ice cream is HELLATASTY and regional treat) and they have a massive flavor selection. There were around 12 different scrumptious flavors to choose from, some of which were pretty unique. I got a small cup of the Black Walnut flavor and it was AMAZING. Just a touch of amaretto and a generous smattering of blackened walnuts. If you want Blue Bell ice cream and you want to stay in North Myrtle, this is the place to go.

Was a perfect pick me up on a warm morning with our kids. The owner opened early just to let us get some ice cream we were craving. He was a gentleman, polite and the ice cream was delicious. Clean, simple and just right. The trip made us all happy.

This cool little place(pun intended) is just a short walk from the beach. It has plenty of ice cream flavors to choose from and offers some shaded outdoor seating around back. I got the Butter Crunch on a cone. The single scoop is actually two small scoops. The Butter Crunch is a Butterfingers based ice cream. Tasty! And for your entertainment, they have a talking parrot that hangs out there.

A small place on Main Street that gives you two scoops of Blue Bell ice cream for around $ 2.70, Sugar Shack on Main is a pretty good deal! Unfortunately for them, their scoops are much smaller than the ones served across the street at Dairy King and the service is just okay. The ice cream was good, but since value is pretty important to me, I’ll probably go across the street for my sweet tooth fix instead.

This ice cream parlor was typical for what you’d expect from an ice cream shop. Outdoor seating, indoor bar of ice cream flavors. I got milkshakes when I went, and while the strong, sweet milkshakes are very delicious, the lighter flavors(peach), were a bit too delicate for making a good milkshake. The service was not bad and the sweet milkshake was absolutely delicious.

We love to walk to the Sugar Shack from our hotel & get their yummy Blue Bell ice cream. I love the chocolate with peanut butter. The Sugar Shack is very small & you can’t sit inside, but we have sat at the tables that they have out along the street. I wouldn’t go to Myrtle Beach without stopping by the Sugar Shack!

The Sugar Shack is one of the better ice cream parlors in North Myrtle Beach, if not the best. It’s tiny with no room to sit inside, but there are picnic tables right outside facing Main St. Inside, there are tons of flavors to choose from. They serve Blue Bell brand ice cream, which many consider to be the best in the country — I won’t disagree. I usually go for mint chocolate chip, or the sublime pralines and cream, but my husband enjoys the rotational/seasonal flavors, like Candy Jar and Happy Tracks(or the neon-colored Krazy Kookie Dough, which is terrifying to me, but appeals to him and to very young children). Prices might be a bit more than nearby rivals, but the added expense is well worth it.
