This is my go-to nail salon in Palm Beach. All of the nail technicians are great(friendly, efficient and skilled at what they’re doing) but Cindy is my girl! She does an amazing job with my crazy cuticles and gives the best leg massages ever(of note — this is included with their standard pedicure). I’ve been to Susan and Henry before, too — they are also fantastic. If you’re in need of a good mani/pedi — this is your place!

Best leg massage with a pedicure !! My friend told me about this place… she said its OPI heaven… they have literally every OPI color ever made ! Hard to find, its nestled between Bonefish & Steinmart in the courtyard of the shopping center.

First of all, it took this place 45 minutes to get me seated for a pedicure when I had an appointment and they were letting other people back before me while I continued to wait. Second of all, the workers barely understand English and they barely let my feet soak and she did my polish so fast that she messed up and missed some spots. Pedicures in general are not cheap and should take time. She blew through all of my toes so fast. In my opinion I did not enjoy my visit.

While visiting West Palm Beach, we asked our hotel for a recommendation for a good mani/pedi and our concierge didn’t miss a beat and booked us for services at Christine’s Salon. Tucked back in the corner of a strip mall(you can’t see the salon from the parking lot) was this spacious salon. The front room when we walked in was beautifully decorated, had plenty of space, was everything I was expecting based on the recommendation. We picked our colors and were led to the back pedicure area. I almost walked out. The chairs were old and the leather was peeling off them, they had these weird looking pillows on half of them — will explain later — and while they worked hard to create a rainforest type vibe, the cloth flowers they had hung from the ceiling and walls were so dusty it made me twitch. I took one look at my mom and knew I needed to shut up and sit down, we were here to relax. Upon sitting in my chair I discovered it was broken and the lumbar roller massage bar was stuck at the bottom — hence the small weird pillows. My chair could go back and forth, but I couldn’t sit up more so I was leaning back at an uncomfortable angle for the pedicure. My pedicure lady never even greeted me before diving in. We were not off to a great start. I know you’re thinking… why did she give them 3 stars? They sound terrible! Well, the pedicure is where they redeem themselves. My salon in Virginia does a hot stone pedicure, where they rub your legs with the hot stones for about 2 minutes, then wrap them under your feet to sit. At Christine’s they literally spent 15 minutes massaging my legs with these hot stones. It was absolutely fantastic, worth every dusty flower and odd sitting position. So much so that we decided to do the hot stone manicures afterwards. I don’t know if I’ll get back to the Palm Beach area again, but I’d go back here for the hot stone manicure and pedicure in a minute. It was an amazing experience and extremely reasonably priced. My advice to the salon… clean those flowers and upgrade your chairs!

In late late March it was my Birthday celebration and I had already turned 30 the previous year, so I wanted something a little more low key this year. Something a little more ‘girlie’ than last year’s rock concert, Lakers Game and Bahamas cruise. I went on another cruise but locally I wanted a Spa day accompanied by a light dinner & drive in movie. Spent the sunny day floating in the pool and my Mom and Sister and her daughter came out with me to get Mani’s and Pedi’s. I did not even change or dry my hair. With no make up on, We just hopped up and went. I knew Christines was in the plaza just up the road, next to massage envy. We all arrived and they had room for us all. Little Tater even got a pedicure, and Becky & my mom got manicures. Most salons like this really don’t focus on the massage. This place DID. Big time. OH, it was HEAVEN in the Pedicure area. Light Spa music with Birds chirping, played in the background, while I caught up on my gossip magazines. Kate is marrying William? Ohhh turn to page 4! Fighting Dancing with the Stars cocaine Battle? Ohhhhh page 8! How to look 13 years old when you’re 52? Ohhh secrets on page 20! It was very Relaxing and fun. Here’s some photos below. Note the no make-up, hair all over the place blonde on the left is moi.
