They were 15 minutes late to open the store. When the clerk (owner, maybe?) finally arrived, she walked in without acknowledging the customer standing at the door awaiting her arrival. I walked through the store and felt invisible. When I asked about upholstery pricing, I received a curt, rather rude response. If a potential consumer with every intention of buying is a hassle, guess what? You lost a customer.

Fabric stores are not exactly on my list of go to places, but if your looking for fabric then you will end up at this store. The ambiance feels a little enclosed but hey its full of rolls of fabric. Location is on a main highway. So if you’re feeling project runway, park on the driveway and and look around at this place.

After suffering at a nearby fabric store too often, my eye finally wandered over to this one right across the street; what a gift! The staff could not have been nicer and they did stunning work upholstering two heirloom pieces– acknowledging the sentimentality of the job and working patiently with me to choose the right fabric, trim, and style.

Glen Ridge, NJ
Fabric Collection has a very good selection of upholstery fabric. They have much of the store arranged by color family, which makes it really easy to browse. The fabrics themselves are all up-​to-​date, but they don’t have anything really trendy, like ikats or anything like that.
The staff was very nice, and really helpful. I’m putting together some cushions, and they helped me pick out the right trims to make it all work out great. The best part? Their prices are all really reasonable.
I’ll be going back to Fabric Collection for future upholstery projects!
