This is the bet NY style pizza I’ve had north of Downtown Ft. Myers Pizza, and south of Manhattan.

We were driving to Tampa, and looking for a place to stop for lunch. Not much in North Port, but this place is a gem. Penne alla vodka superb. A great place to eat. Not far from I 75

Food is ok but the service was awful. First they couldn’t remember what we ordered and had to come back and check, then they brought us the food for the table next to us, didn’t bring us the salads hat came with our dishes despite asking 3 times, not bringing us the broccoli side we ordered(saying they were out, then at the end of our meal when we were paying saying they found some in the back), didn’t bring our waters or my coffee, didn’t bring my aunt the glass of wine she ordered even after asking twice before having to get up and get a glass ourselves, then when they brought us our food, 3 of the 4 orders were wrong. When we pointed it out and asked for the right order our waitress told us she’d fix the orders but never came back. Instead had another waitress finish for her. We were only 1 of 4 tables in the place yet the service was the worst I’ve ever received.

A great menu. I had the Ziti with shrimp & peas. Wife had the Spinach role. My order came with a salad & garlic notes. The salad dressing was bland. Ingredients were fresh & crispy. Pasta dish was huge, very tasty. Garlic notes were amazing. Wife’ spinach roll had much to much cheese. Took away from tasting other ingredients: spinach & pepperoni. Atmosphere good. Very clean. Greeter & server very friendly & efficient. This is a great place for a Sunday lunch/dinner.

Been here several times now and honesty never had a bad meal. The pizza(grandma’s and the eggplant) are my favorite. The staff is friendly and polite. The calamari with hot cherry peppers are a great appetizer. Bön appetite

Was reluctant to try this place based on some of the reviews here. We ordered the Sicilian pizza. It was fantastic. The only complaint is the $ 2.50 per topping charge. The crust was amazing. Toppings were abundant and FRESH. The dinner rolls that came with the Caesar salad were homemade and amazing. Our first meal only makes us excited to try some of their other dishes. Would highly recommend.

Ordered the Sicilian pie. Wonderfully prepared. Crust was perfectly crisp, but still light, and the cheese and toppings were great. Ordered pepperoni and mushroom and either the pepperoni or the sauce had a nice little kick to it. Best pizza I have eaten in a long while.

After ordering take out this past weekend, I am so disappointed. Three entrees and garlic knots came out to $ 40.45. With prices like that you should expect perfection. However all that we had was disappointment. And I’ve noticed that there pizza Ian not as good as it was the first few times we got it. I ordered gnocchi with marinara. The sauce was definitely off. There was too much of something and not enough of something else(if that made any sense). Hubby has fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken. They gave him the smallest portion of chicken I have ever seen. My half salad from Burger King has had more chicken in it. There were chunks of something in the Alfredo sauce too. Momma ordered a chicken parmigiana sandwich. She just was not impressed with any of it. The chicken had texture of when you microwave it and it gets tough. And we ordered 6 garlic knots. Best part of the meal. The girl running the register wasn’t too friendly with me either. I told her to have a nice day and she just looked at me and said nothing. So you’ve been downgraded to a one star and«So the quest goes on».

To find a non-chain pizza place in North Port is very hard so I must say this is the best pizza around, however me and my family all get sick everytime we eat your pizza, we have ordered several times and each time it has happened to us. So I am unsure if I want to continue eating the pizza. It is wonderful. and somewhat pricey if you ask me. but oh well.

My wife and I have frequented this establishment for almost a year and I have never had issues with the food until last night. We ordered two pasta meals and my wife ordered Pasta with Broccoli which was not a good dish. The pasta portion was delicious but the the broccoli was overcooked and old product. The lack of freshness of the broccoli was evidenced by the off yellow color. It was first boiled so it was waterlogged before it even hit the sauté pan with the garlic. My wife cooks broccoli two –three times a week for the family so we know what sauteed broccoli should look like. We then asked the server about it and she was appalled that it even came out of the kitchen. Well then who strolls along to our table, the cook, who insists that that is what sauteed broccoli looks like. We were not about to cause a scene but did object to his reasoning. An old man once told me ’ just because someone has been doing something for 40 years doesn’t me he doing it right’. This is the perfect case in point. Now on to my meal, Gnocchi… another story. The menu reads, if I am not mistaken, ‘Homemade potato dumpling with fresh mozzarella and ricotta cheeses’ which would lead one to believe this would be a very light gnocchi. Wrong! When in fact the gnocchi ARENOT homemade and the they are NOT made with the cheeses listed. Very tricky wording here as the marinara sauce had the ricotta cheese in it and the fresh mozzarella cheese was melted on top of a pool of sauce that the gnocchi were swimming in. The gnocchi used are just the run of the mill store bought variety and far from a light gnocchi I was dreaming about while reading the menu. Not a dish I would recommend nor order again. Not one for penning reviews, after having issues with two meals at the same service, I had to comment. Tom and Claudette Marino Englewood, FL BTW, this incident WILLNOT keep me from returning as the food is far better than most other local Italian eateries.

As a Chicago girl, I’m admittedly a bit of a pizza snob, however the best local pizza I’ve found is here. When my family comes down to visit, we order a pie and their ultra fabulous garlic knots. I’m also a big fan of their broccoli side cooked with garlic in olive oil.

This place used to be excellent. Apparently there are new owners. This explains why the food has slowly declined. Tonight I was served a two inch green pepper stem on my pizza. It hurt my mouth when I tried to bite it. The crust in the center of the pizza was soggy. Then I get the bill, $ 40 for a salad for two, a lousy large pizza and two ice teas. Last year this same order would have been about $ 28. I’m not pleased with this place any more.

Really enjoyed the pizza. Had the regular plain and the white. Both were really good. Service was great. Had salad which was good. Would recommend.

Not as good as I thought it was going to be, I didn’t like the cheese, but most people love their pizza.

This is by far the best pizza I have had since moving to FL. I am really put off by the«slices» of sausage on a pizza. In IL, NY and in CT, they always use big chunks of loose Italian sausage, here they slice it and slice it so thin you can’t even see or taste it, but this place –I was truly pleasantly surprised with the taste :) Thank you, for finally giving me a pleasant experience. We went to another place on Mc Gregor Blvd, next to the Road House, and their pizza was awful. I will never go there again. I have been looking for a good tasting pizza since we moved here, and this is truly the best. Many people say«this pizza is great», or another is great, some people claim some places have the true NY pizza, etc but I really didn’t find one until now, that would even remotely resemble the NY –CT– IL pizza in taste, or in any other way. Unless I find a generous place, which uses real loose Italian sausage on their pizza,(I think they are slicing it, because they have to use much less and it’s just being cheap) I don’t think any place will be good enough for me, but for now, I am really happy we had found this place :)

If you’re from up north(new jersey myself) and you’re looking for Jersey/New York style pizza, this place is it. Spicy Chicken Pizza is amazing, I won’t eat at another pizza place as long as I live in this town.

Happened upon this restaurant by accident, but it won’t be the next time. Nice atmosphere, waitress very personable, service timely, food very good. Wife’s Italian so I know good Italian cuisine, homemade to boot, and the food tastes like homemade. The prices are reasonable as well. Do yourself a favor and give Michelangelo’s a try.

A really good find for this area. Good food and reasonable prices. Don’t be spooked by the«no answer» review. They were on vacation for the Christmas. The current owners have done a great job in improving on the original cast of characters. The food is consistently good. If you’re not a big eater you can share an entrée. Specialty pizzas are worth the money.
