Chubby’s… the name makes me laugh and it instantly turns me into a 12 year old boy. Forget the silly name. This place is awesome. Definite bar atmosphere. It’s quaint. Friendly staff and owners. Great menu; large portions and delicious food… I was pleasantly surprised. I live near by and drive past frequently. There always seems to be a decent amount of patrons inside and out. Ample amount of bikers. A couple of weeks ago they hosted a classic car show. This neighborhood bar should be your next stop.

This has become the default hang-out place when returning to North Providence to visit old friends. Chubby’s is a small bar, and doesn’t pretend to be something more grand. They’ve got a good selection on tap, and the service has always been, in my opinion, quite friendly. The crowd varies by day and time — generally slants a bit older/more towny, but you’ll occasionally find a night that’s a bit younger. Can’t speak for the quality of the kitchen, as i haven’t sampled the food. They also try to have live music fairly regularly — nice touch — considering it’s such a small place it makes for quite the intimate venue.

Great food, good beer selection. Owners are really nice. My neighbor knows them and suggested the bar for our dart team. We were treated very well by both owners. Ended up winning our division. Food portions are large. Burgers are really good. Calamari is really good non-traditional. The place is a little small, but if you want they have a private room downstairs. There is a dart board and TV down there. They stock Gluten free bar Redbridge if you need it. My neighbor and girlfriend do!

Great neighborhood bar. Friendly staff… full of character. No bad attitudes. LOTS of big screen TVs in a small area. Shows EVERYNFL game during the season. Good bar food and some very good specials. Try the prime Rib or Sirlion steak if its on the specials menu. Amazingly good for a small place. Clean, good drinks and generally a lot of fun.

Apparently this place has only been open for two weeks. Used to be another lil bar, never went in cause the exterior kinda frightened me. Stopped in tonight at the suggestion of my father’s barber. Its surprisingly nice inside! Kinda on the small side, 15ish person bar, some tables. Has a jukebox, keno, 5 or so flat screens, that little touch-screen game machine at one end of the bar! Very inviting interior, and lighting, and seating, not dive-y at all! Beer selection has about 7 or so on tap, including a Chubby’s lager! Full bar, and bottled beer selection as well. Popcorn as a bar snack from a machine in the corner, always nice! Ordered some calamari, which was a non-traditional type. Had a balsamic glaze drizzled over the top, caramelized onions and black olives. The calamari was cooked AMAZINGLY, and the glaze was really different and super yummy. Onions weren’t as sweet as i’d like them, but still good. Also ordered a grilled pizza to go. had very gooey cheese, and a nice tasting sauce. Not an overly extensive menu, and everything is pretty cheap costing($ 3 grilled cheese, $ 9 burger) Bartender was nice, other staff was also nice, and even the chef came out to ask how everything was with the food(it was kinda slow though, so maybe this wouldnt be an everyday thing) and that was a nice touch! Definitely seems like it could be a nice homey town bar, nice place to stop after work…
