Beyond Bagels

Definitely an awesome bagel place. My favorite is the Reuben in the Round with Russian dressing, so good. Cash only but that’s ok. Good neighborhood, good people, good food. Across from Broco Oil.

Great food, great personable service and all in all fairly priced. They have smoothies and different coffees to choose from, along with muffins and soups. Cash only but worth it! The owners/​staff where extremely nice and helpful!

really good sandwhiches and not bad for soups either. cash only but it’s okay I carry cash. The service was quick and friendly, it seems local and homey, not corporate or anything.

I’ve worked in the area for several years and have been really wanting to try this place but I just never think to stop. Finally this morning my boyfriend and I stopped in. At first it looked promising. There was a decent selection of items to choose from and the place appeared clean and quaint. However, from that point forward it went down hill. I noticed that they have «cash only» signs up everywhere. It’s 2015 for goodness sake… I hardly know anyone who carries cash anymore. Still, if the food was great than that nuisance could certainly be overlooked.
We proceed to order. No they can’t do a decaf latte. No, they don’t know what flavor shots they have — go read the bottles. Their toaster is broken so they can’t toast the bagel. I watch as they crack an egg into what looks like a styrofoam bowl and microwave it. Communicating with the woman running the counter was also challenging since her English was just so-​so but she was polite at the very least.
My boyfriend was so relieved when I turned to him and said that we could just stop at Dunkin Donuts to get our coffee since it would be cheaper and I could get decaf.
I got to work and tried the breakfast sandwich I had purchased. The bagel was rubbery (probably would have been better if it had been toasted) and the rest of the sandwich was mediocre at best. Based on the reviews on here I am tempted to try their lunch but it’s not it’s not very likely.

This is the worst place I’ve ever been to. I’ve eaten at a lot of breakfast places, and the lady up front was RUDE.- overcharged us, completely ignored us by talking in a different language right in front of us making us feel very uncomfortable– refused to toast my bagel because it was already «hot» then threw our change back at us very aggressively. It’s my first time here and I am not impressed– I am sick to my stomach how bad some customer service can truly be.

We just moved to the area and was told this place was a go-​to for bagels/​breakfast/​sandwiches. I went in a little before lunch time and was the only one there… Service was friendly and quick and I even got a «free» soda because I was there before noon. I’ll take it!
The bagel I got was decent, cream cheese was good, but I couldn’t even eat the lox. It was just extremely fishy (maybe I’m a bit too picky). I had to take it off the bagel sandwich. I’ll definitely give this place another go but won’t get the lox again.
Oh and as many other people have said, it’s cash only!

am i confused??? where are these ‘good reviews’ coming from???
food is bad, (processed, and manufactured tasting) service is poor…

Beyond Bagels has sandwiches and wraps that are BEYOND INCREDIBLE. The Spring Chicken and Cesar salad wraps are always a summer favorite in my family. Sometimes I stop by after work for a quick bagel and cream cheese snack. I love their veggie cream cheese, which I’m almost certain they make themselves. So delicious I can’t get enough of it!
Aside from the food, the family that owns this shop is super friendly and always helpful. Read some of the other reviews and was surprised by what some said about the customer service as I’ve always had good experiences there.
Definitely a great place for lunch or a quick snack during the day.

Customer service wise only — they do not accept debit/​credit cards (huge signs posted all over).
At 930 on a Sun AM almost nothing left (hopefully the food I’m bringing home is good).
Server ignored me and spoke directly to my 4 year old — sweet but I’m the one with the money.

Maybe I caught this place on a bad day, cause the other reviews are good.
Went this morning because I’ve been wanting to try this place and the line at Bagel World was about an hour long…
Service — absolutely horrid. The woman behind the counter didn’t even acknowledge me as she was making someone else’s coffee, and then another customer walked in and she immediately recognized him and asked him what he wanted today. He was clearly a regular, but she could have acknowledged me before taking his order. She did come back and take my order before getting his coffee…
The bagel was horrible. It was worse than 2 day old bagels from Stop & Shop. I literally took 2 bites and threw it away, not worth the waste of my calories.

Really like this place. Yummy sammies. Fresh ingredients. Good smoothies. Staff is always super nice and the prices are good. Wish their hours were longer!

Fresh bagels in North Reading… I didn’t think any one could find anything fresh in North Reading.

I like it! Don’t go that often but it is a decent place.

Tasty. quick, no gigantic line that you find down the road. Good coffee, only downside is Cash only.

Beyond Bagels has solid bagel sandwiches. I really like the All American. Turkey, ham swiss, lettuce, tomatoe, and horseradish spread. Delicious! Their smoothies are really good too. The staff is very friendly too.
The only downfall is they are cash only but there are plenty of ATM’s in the area.

LOVE the coffee here. Butterscotch coffee all the way, hot or iced. The Chicken Cesar wrap– oh so good! and I think they have good soup too –but its been a while. I used to work down the street from here and would stop at least once a week (sometimes 2x in one day) for their delicious coffee and friendly service;I really miss this place!
Occasionally I will go out of my way for a nostalgic cup of coffee and bagel and reminisce about the good old days when my commute included driving past Beyond Bagels. The inside is cute and tidy. Generally I grab-​n-​go, but there are a number of tables available and often at least one party sitting down to enjoy their food. The parking lot is small and can be a nightmare to get out of if you are trying to cross 28… but its well worth it.

I wasn’t expecting much when I walked into this place but I was pleasantly surprised by it. The food was fantastic and the staff was extremely friendly. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a moderately cheap and delicious bite!

YUM! I live in Oregon, but I grew up in Andover, Ma. Boy do I miss good bagels. I have been here before so that is why I returned today. This is a small bagel shop, cash only, and the bagels are delicious– just like they should be– crisp bite inthe outside and soft on the inside. I can’t wait to have another one tomorrow morning! I wish more places like this existed in Oregon, Kettlemans is the closest there
